Chapter 16: Unpardonable Sin
“Coming early in the morning to curse people, you truly are an ill-bred wild girl.” Xia Minglan cursed angrily, “Xia Chenge, you behave yourself!”
“I’ve heard that phrase no less than ten times!” Xia Chenge scoffed, “Aunt, can you change your lines? I’m tired of hearing it, my ears are practically calloused.”
Xia Minglan used all her strength to barely control her impulse to lay hands on Xia Chenge.
Xia Chenge watched her breathing become rapid with anger, the smile in her eyes deepening. She then stopped provoking Xia Minglan and lowered her head to eat breakfast seriously.
How could Xu Jingyun, who was accustomed to stepping on Xia Chenge, swallow the humiliation of being suppressed by Xia Chenge?
Enraged, she shoved Xia Minglan aside, stomped over to Xia Chenge, and swept Xia Chenge’s bowl off the table.
*Smash!*
Shards of porcelain littered the floor.
The smile in Xia Chenge’s eyes vanished, replaced by a chilling, terrifying killing intent.
“I’ll let you eat your fill!” Xu Jingyun finally felt vindicated. “Did you really think you could fly?”
Xia Minglan, glancing at Xia Chenge’s eyes, turned pale with shock, sensing that something was terribly wrong.
“Yunyun!” Xia Minglan shouted, “What are you doing?”
“Since Mother, you’re too afraid to stand up for me, I’ll have to do it myself. Letting a waste ride on my head is not my style.” Xu Jingyun was reveling in her triumphant retaliation and didn’t notice how terrifying Xia Chenge’s expression was at that moment.
Xia Minglan, startled by Xia Chenge’s demeanor, began to shiver all over and sternly ordered Xu Jingyun to apologize to Xia Chenge: “No matter what, you can’t smash someone’s food. Apologize to her, now!”
Thinking of Xia Chenge’s ruthlessness, Xia Minglan felt a chill run down her spine. If she angered Xia Chenge, would Xu Jingyun even survive?

“Chenge, please put your sister down, okay? We can talk about anything properly. Don’t get agitated, Aunt will agree to anything you want, how about that?”
“Apologize. Don’t make me repeat myself a third time.” Xia Chenge made a move as if to throw Xu Jingyun.
“Yunyun, apologize quickly, quickly!” Xia Minglan urged anxiously, afraid that if Xu Jingyun was a moment slower, Xia Chenge would really throw her.

Xia Minglan didn’t dare to gamble. After all, Xia Chenge had almost killed her last time. She was 100% sure that if Xia Chenge was provoked, she would kill Xu Jingyun!

However, before their words could fall, Xu Jingyun landed safely on the soft sofa.
Xu Jingyun was stunned, unable to believe she was still alive.
