Chapter 70: Too Much Bullying
As soon as these words were spoken, everyone present was shocked.
The name Xia Chenge had recently become too well-known in Haicheng; even those who didn’t follow gossip about wealthy families were familiar with it.
“Are you going to smash it?” Xia Chenge asked calmly, observing their reactions.
The thought of the various rumors surrounding Xia Chenge sent shivers down their spines.
They tightened their grip on their weapons, wary of Xia Chenge suddenly going berserk.
The person in the lead swallowed hard, “I, we can’t fight President Xu!”
“Just go ahead and smash things. If anything happens, give them my name. I’ll take responsibility. What are you afraid of? If you don’t go, I’m worried I might lose control and send you to the hospital, which wouldn’t be good, would it?” Xia Chenge said nonchalantly.
Hearing this, and recalling how badly they had been beaten earlier, the crowd felt a chill run down their spines.
“You, you’re serious?”
“What else?” Xia Chenge casually picked up an iron rod and snapped it in two.
Seeing this, the crowd was greatly alarmed. An iron rod as thick as two fingers had been easily broken by Xia Chenge? It was solid iron! They couldn’t imagine if Xia Chenge had used such force on them earlier, whether they would be able to stand for the rest of their lives.
“Go, go now!” The leader quickly agreed, fearing that if he delayed, it would be his own limbs that Xia Chenge would break.

The remaining people almost hugged the wall to avoid Xia Chenge.
“Wait!” Just as they were nearing the alley entrance, Xia Chenge suddenly called out to them.
The people almost cried out in fear, wondering if this little ancestor regretted letting them go and now intended to break their legs.
“Clean it up before you leave, or I’ll break your legs.” Xia Chenge commanded coldly, then stood aside, watching them return and resignedly clean up the mess.
“Are you, are you really Miss Xia?” Gao Yuandong nervously stepped forward to ask.
Xia Chenge nodded.
For a moment, Gao Yuandong’s expression was complex.
“Thank you, Miss Xia,” the boss’s wife said, coming over to express her gratitude. “You and the Xu Jingyi family are causing such a stir, it’s really not appropriate for you to stick your neck out for us at this time.”
Xia Chenge looked at her, “He’s my uncle-in-law. Don’t you suspect I’m in league with him?”
“Although I don’t have much ability, I believe I have some judgment. Miss Xia couldn’t possibly be in cahoots with Xu Jingyi. We are all well aware of the Xia family’s situation.”
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend, so you don’t need to be polite.”

Gao Yuandong and his wife had no choice but to do as Xia Chenge said.

After the cleanup was complete, Xia Chenge ordered these people to pay for the damages according to the list, and then headed to Bei Xiang Pavilion.
It was mealtime, and Bei Xiang Pavilion was a famous old establishment in Haicheng. Even with a new owner, it was still packed, with many people waiting in line outside.

With a crash, the dining customers inside pretended to be startled and screamed.
“What are you screaming for? I didn’t hit you. Get out and eat somewhere else!” he roared again.
The group was full of imposing energy, and the customers in Bei Xiang Pavilion were quickly cleared out. The waiters couldn’t stop them.
“Sir, let’s talk properly. Why bring so many people to cause trouble? Scaring away our customers, do you know this is a criminal act? I’ve already called the police.” The manager of Bei Xiang Pavilion rushed out.
“What’s wrong with me smashing my own property?” Xia Chenge walked over slowly. “Do I need your permission to smash a shop?”
Although Bei Xiang Pavilion now belonged to Xu Jingyi, it was under the name of the catering company owned by Sheng Xia Group. Xia Chenge’s statement was not unreasonable.
The manager immediately recognized Xia Chenge, but he completely disregarded her.
“Miss Xia, you haven’t taken over Sheng Xia Group yet. Even if you want to demolish and rebuild Bei Xiang Pavilion, you need President Xu’s approval. “What, you think I don’t have the authority?” Xia Chenge stared at him.
The manager felt suffocated by Xia Chenge’s sharp gaze and forced himself to remain calm, saying, “Miss Xia, it’s best to discuss company matters before making decisions. It’s better for outsiders not to interfere casually!”
“From what you’re saying, am I just an outsider?” Xia Chenge smirked slightly.
“I didn’t mean that. I’m just suggesting Miss Xia consider the company’s benefit,” the manager said.
Xia Chenge burst into laughter, her laughter making everyone’s hearts tremble.
“Miss Xia finds my words amusing?” the manager asked, suppressing his anger.
Xia Chenge abruptly stopped laughing, her gaze turning cold, and she waved her hand, ordering, “You think it’s funny too? Smash it for me, smash it hard!”
The manager’s face changed drastically, and he shouted, “Stop them!”
But the group had already started smashing things with a clatter, and the elegantly decorated Bei Xiang Pavilion was soon in ruins.
The manager’s face turned red with anger, “Miss Xia, you’re going too far!”
“I’m smashing my own property, how am I bullying you? Isn’t Bei Xiang Pavilion part of Sheng Xia Group?” Xia Chenge crossed her arms, a mocking expression on her face.
“This, this…” The manager was speechless.
“So, is the phrase ‘going too far’ appropriate here?”
“You…”
“What about me? I’ll handle my property however I want. Do I need to ask for your opinion?”
Xia Chenge’s words almost made the manager’s blood vessels explode, and his face turned extremely ugly.
The employees of Bei Xiang Pavilion stood by and watched, not daring to intervene.
Gritting his teeth, the manager took out his mobile phone and dialed Xu Jingyi’s number, informing him of the situation at Bei Xiang Pavilion.
Xia Chenge clearly heard Xu Jingyi roaring on the other end of the phone, “What did you say? That brat Xia Chenge went to Bei Xiang Pavilion to cause trouble and smashed it? You bunch of idiots, you can’t even stop her?”
Just as the manager was about to explain, Xia Chenge snatched his mobile phone away.
