Chapter 100: Dad?
Xia Yang couldn’t heed Qing Tian’s shouts. The moment he saw Ji Xiangyu kiss Qing Tian, his heart was about to explode with anger. How could that brat Ji Xiangyu resort to underhanded tactics and directly force a kiss on Qing Tian? He was practically asking for death.
Little did the pitiful Xia Yang know that this kiss he witnessed tonight was actually the third kiss between Ji Xiangyu and Qing Tian. If he had known, would he have directly chopped Ji Xiangyu into pieces?
Ji Xiangyu was no pushover either. If the two of them really started fighting, it would probably be a fight to the death. However, Ji Xiangyu didn’t want to fight Xia Yang outside the hospital. In terms of fighting, Xia Yang was no match for him.
After exchanging punches, both of them stood still, not speaking. Qing Tian looked at the atmosphere that had finally calmed down with great helplessness. To be honest, a cold war seemed even more terrifying than a hot war!
Qing Tian looked at the two people glaring at each other and sighed deeply. Why couldn’t these two just talk peacefully?
Ji Xiangyu forcefully tugged at Xia Yang’s shirt collar, lifting Xia Yang off the ground. His gaze was cold and hateful, and he said subconsciously, “Black Eagle, first, whether you did it or not, Grandpa’s matter is all because of you. Second, how I develop things with Qing Tian is none of your business. Don’t forget the football match was your proposal. You lost, and you lost the position of Student Union Chairman. Have you forgotten so quickly? Doesn’t that seem very irresponsible?”
Xia Yang’s temper flared as Ji Xiangyu easily pulled him. He prepared to counterattack with a kick, but Ji Xiangyu was quick. He immediately pushed Xia Yang, who failed to land his attack and instead fell against the wall.
Qing Tian ran to Xia Yang’s side with worry and asked, “Are you okay?”
Xia Yang leaned against the wall and smiled at Qing Tian, “I’m fine!” Then, he looked at Ji Xiangyu and deliberately put his arm around Qing Tian’s shoulder, provocatively saying, “What Young Master Ji doesn’t want to admit is actually the truth, isn’t it?”
Qing Tian didn’t know what these two were talking about, but one name caught her attention: Black Eagle. That was indeed Xia Yang’s alias in the underworld. But why did Ji Xiangyu know about it? Could it be that her guess was correct, and it was Ji Xiangyu who buried the beer bottles with her? No wonder they had the same scent.
Qing Tian was incredibly shocked by her own guess because Wu Feng and Ji Xiangyu looked like two completely different people. However, the expression Ji Xiangyu had when he pulled Xia Yang up just now was very cold, and he had great strength, not even panting.
Ji Xiangyu looked at the hand Xia Yang had placed on Qing Tian’s shoulder with disgust. No matter how much anger burned within him, he couldn’t let it erupt. He absolutely would not harm Qing Tian, nor would he do anything to hurt her!
Ji Xiangyu replied coldly, “Then I will make this truth even more perfect. Before that, I remind you, don’t provoke Grandpa anymore. Grandpa is already old and doesn’t have many years left. Can’t you let an old man live out his remaining years peacefully? Must you stir up trouble to provoke him?”
Xia Yang’s eyes darkened. He was conflicted and complex inside!
Ji Xiangyu continued, “Don’t get lost in past hatred. You still have a long road ahead of you. Why live in past sorrow?”
Xia Yang, with Qing Tian in his arms, prepared to leave, not wanting to talk too much with Ji Xiangyu. Who knew that after only a few steps, Ji Xiangyu would suddenly pull Qing Tian into his embrace.
He raised his hand to block Xia Yang, who was about to step forward, and said, “Go see Grandpa. I have something to say to Qing Tian!”
Xia Yang’s face turned dark. “Qing Tian has nothing to say to you. Let her go!”
Ji Xiangyu held Qing Tian tightly. Qing Tian was almost suffocated. What did these two think of her? Snatching her back and forth like this was truly exhausting!
Before she could even catch her breath, Ji Xiangyu performed a 90-degree somersault and slung her over his shoulder. Qing Tian struggled on his shoulder and shouted, “Ji Xiangyu, what are you doing? Put me down!”
Ji Xiangyu didn’t stop, walking forward towards his goal. Xia Yang quickly blocked his path and warned in a cold tone, “Can’t you see Qing Tian doesn’t want to go with you? Hurry up and put Qing Tian down. What is the ‘Gentle Prince’ everyone talks about trying to show with such a brutal action?” Xia Yang also subtly mouthed the words “Wu Feng.”
Ji Xiangyu frowned. He didn’t know if Qing Tian had already understood his other identity, but he didn’t want it to be mentioned by the world anymore, as it would attract unnecessary trouble.
Qing Tian’s head was positioned downwards, and her head was about to burst from lack of blood. These two brothers were still talking about irrelevant things, completely disregarding her feelings. They even said they wouldn’t hurt her, which was truly wishful thinking!
Qing Tian grumbled from the side, but Ji Xiangyu and Xia Yang remained locked in a stalemate. Qing Tian was truly helpless and sheepishly pleaded, “If you want to confront each other, can you please put me down first? This is really uncomfortable!”
Hearing Qing Tian say this, Ji Xiangyu immediately put her down and pulled her close, asking, “I’m sorry, Qing Tian. It’s all my fault!”
Qing Tian reached out to stop Ji Xiangyu from continuing his apologies and then said to Xia Yang, “Xia Yang, I’ll talk to Ji Xiangyu. I happen to have something to say to him too!”
Qing Tian softened her heart towards Ji Xiangyu once again. Did she know how much pain Xia Yang was in? Every time, every time she saw Qing Tian compromise with Ji Xiangyu, Xia Yang’s heart would ache, like being pricked by a silver needle, a numb and painful sensation spreading throughout his body!
Xia Yang’s face darkened, and he left in silence, his lonely figure disappearing into the darkness.
After Xia Yang left, Qing Tian pulled away the overly intimate distance between herself and Ji Xiangyu, then asked, “What did you want to say? Say it now!”
Ji Xiangyu gazed into Qing Tian’s eyes. After about a minute, he cautiously asked, “Do you remember what I said about becoming my girlfriend after everything was over? I’m here tonight to get an answer!”
Qing Tian was stunned. She hadn’t expected it to be about this. She hadn’t even made up her mind yet. With everything that had happened these past two days, how could she possibly remember him asking her to be his girlfriend? It was truly difficult to give an answer.
Qing Tian smiled foolishly, her procrastination kicking in, and she vaguely said, “It’s a bit late. Do you want to go get a late-night snack? There wasn’t much to eat at the ball!”
Ji Xiangyu hadn’t expected Qing Tian to say that either and was a bit taken aback, not knowing how to respond for a moment. However, he couldn’t let it go.
“Qing Tian, can you give me an answer? Tonight, right here, and then let’s go get a late-night snack together!”
Qing Tian sighed deeply, looking troubled. She really wanted to pack herself up and throw herself into the trash bag so she wouldn’t have to answer such a question. Her heart was incredibly conflicted and struggling. In truth, she really, really, really wanted to be with Ji Xiangyu, but she was afraid. Afraid it wouldn’t last!
“Qing Tian, tell me your worries. I will do my best in everything, especially concerning you!” Ji Xiangyu seemed to have seen through Qing Tian’s thoughts and smiled reassuringly at her.
In fact, the more relaxed his smile, the more it revealed Ji Xiangyu’s nervousness.
Qing Tian frowned. After thinking for a few minutes, she looked up, met Ji Xiangyu’s eyes, and asked, “Ji Xiangyu, can I ask you a question?”
Ji Xiangyu raised an eyebrow, signaling Qing Tian to continue.
Qing Tian mustered great courage to ask, “I know this sounds ridiculous, but I feel like I’ve met someone like you before.”
As soon as Qing Tian said these two sentences, a chill ran down Ji Xiangyu’s spine. Was Qing Tian going to ask about his other identity?
Ji Xiangyu rarely had such good intuition, but this intuition was too ill-timed.
Qing Tian indeed asked, her expression serious and nervous as she looked at Ji Xiangyu. She blurted out in one breath, “Um, are you Young Master Wu Feng?”
Ji Xiangyu smiled gently, his eyes not wavering as he looked at Qing Tian and said, “Young Master Wu Feng? Are you talking about that legendary cold-blooded killer!”
Qing Tian observed Ji Xiangyu’s every move, unable to discern anything. His expression was exactly the same as usual. She immediately chuckled, “Well, I thought Ji Xiangyu was Wu Feng because you really have many similar traits. I always thought you were Wu Feng, which made me happy for nothing!”
In the darkness, a glint flashed in Ji Xiangyu’s eyes. What should he do? Admit it or not? If he admitted it, what if Qing Tian’s opinion of him changed?
Qing Tian pretended to smile relaxedly and said, “That’s right. You are the eldest heir of the Ji Family, the Gentle Prince in everyone’s eyes. How could you be that cold-blooded killer, Young Master Wu Feng? What kind of brain do I have, always thinking about such nonsense.”
Ji Xiangyu hesitated, looking at Qing Tian who was talking non-stop, and shouted, “It’s not like that. Actually… I…”
Qing Tian stopped talking and looked at Ji Xiangyu with surprise and confusion, waiting for him to finish.
At this moment, two people walked over from a distance. Qing Tian watched them approach step by step, and she was eager for Ji Xiangyu to finish speaking. Then she heard Ji Xiangyu say, “I am…” Young Master Wu Feng.
Qing Tian listened with her ear tilted, but Ji Xiangyu’s last sentence was drowned out by a huge noise.
Immediately after, Qing Tian saw the two people walking in front of them being blown away. She screamed in shock, “Ah…”
Ji Xiangyu turned to look at the explosion site and immediately shielded Qing Tian behind him, hiding against the wall. He peeked out to survey the surrounding area, fearing another explosion.
Qing Tian behind him was completely stunned. She had never encountered such a bloody event in her life.
She trembled as she hugged Ji Xiangyu and asked with concern, “What happened?”
Ji Xiangyu frowned, thinking: It doesn’t make sense. The Royal Hospital has such strict security. How could there be a riot? It must be an inside job.
Who could it be? Was it related to the person who caused trouble at Grandpa’s birthday party?
Before he could clear his thoughts, he saw two men in black stealthily approaching their direction. Ji Xiangyu instructed Qing Tian, “Qing Tian, stay here. I’ll go take a look!”
Qing Tian grabbed Ji Xiangyu fearfully, “It’s dangerous!”
Ji Xiangyu shook his head and kissed Qing Tian on the forehead, “I’ll be fine. Don’t worry!”
For some reason, this kiss was like a calming agent. Qing Tian no longer felt scared and instead felt a sense of security!
Ji Xiangyu hugged the wall and approached the two men in black, silently following them. Just as he was about to turn a corner, he was spotted by one of them, who had a shaved head.
The men in black stopped, exchanged signals, and immediately attacked Ji Xiangyu.
Ji Xiangyu sensed it quickly and dodged in the darkness.
The men in black were two middle-aged uncles, who looked unfamiliar and didn’t seem to be from this city.
“Kid, are you looking to die by following us?”
The person on the left pointed at Ji Xiangyu and asked.
Qing Tian heard this voice and her eyes widened in surprise. She murmured, “Dad. It’s Dad’s voice!”
