Director Bai and the members of the Board of Directors were sitting relaxed in the meeting room, awaiting Ji Xiangyu’s appearance. Upon hearing that Ji Xiangyu had resolved the food poisoning incident, the directors were all surprised and impressed.
However, regardless of the outcome, Ji Xiangyu still had to provide a settlement fee to the customers through the Board of Directors.
Decades ago, Holy Courtyard established an unwritten rule: any matter involving money required the Board of Directors’ approval before public funds could be used. This presented an obstacle for Ji Xiangyu in distributing the settlement fees.
At this moment, Situ Haonan entered the meeting room with Situ Jingyi. Situ Jingyi, with a cheerful smile, approached Director Bai and sweetly said, “Uncle Bai, how have you been these past few days? Has the hotel’s major incident kept you from sleeping well?”

The one speaking was Ji Xiangyu, who had just entered the meeting room. Assistant Che and Driver Xie followed behind him.

At this moment, the meeting room door was pushed open, and Bruce walked in. As everyone looked at Bruce in confusion, Andrei appeared.
Normally, high-ranking officials below the Chairman were not allowed to enter board meetings. Andrei’s abrupt entry caused a stir of whispers.
Director Bai stood up and pointed at Andrei, shouting loudly, “Does the General Manager not know this is not a place you should be?!”
Andrei calmly looked at Director Bai and said, “Of course, I know an ordinary hotel general manager cannot attend board meetings, but…” As he spoke, he raised the documents in his hand and waved them: “But today, I am here as a member of the Holy Courtyard Board of Directors. Although my shares are not many, only twenty-one percent, I still seem to have some right to self-determination, don’t I?!”
As Andrei spoke these words, his gaze was sharp and determined.
The entire room erupted in an uproar. Twenty-one percent of the shares, that was unbelievable. Where did Andrei get so many shares? Besides the old Chairman, Grandfather Ji, who held the most shares with forty-five percent, there was Director Bai with thirty percent. For a mere hotel general manager to possess twenty-one percent of the shares meant that if Andrei and Ji Xiangyu joined forces, the entire hotel would surely be under the Ji Family’s control.
Director Bai stood up, intending to question further, when his mobile phone rang. The caller ID showed his second son, who was in America.
He frowned. It was late at night there. His son calling must mean it was an urgent matter!
Without much thought, Director Bai answered the phone. His expression grew increasingly grim, and in the end, his mouth even twitched with anger. Ji Xiangyu still didn’t understand what Andrei was up to; how did Andrei suddenly become a director?
After hanging up the phone, Director Bai angrily threw his mobile phone forcefully to the ground. He was trembling with rage, realizing that Andrei was a formidable character not to be underestimated.
He could actually use his son, who was in America, to threaten him.
Director Bai, his leg shaking, walked up to Andrei in anger, gritted his teeth, and said, “You win this round! We’ll see~~~”
Everyone in the meeting room stood stunned, watching Director Bai leave in a huff.
As most people had left, Situ Jingyi walked up to Andrei and asked him with confusion, “What exactly did you do? I’ve never seen Uncle Bai this angry before!”
Andrei gave a dismissive smile. “I didn’t do anything!”
Situ Jingyi looked at Andrei with half-belief. She was very sure that Andrei was Xia Yang, but she had never had any evidence to prove this person’s true identity. Xia Yang had ceased to exist years ago!
