As Qing Tian stood up, Ji Xiangyu happened to reach her side and grabbed her shoulders, asking, “Qing Tian, are you alright!”
Qing Tian shook her head and looked at Li Mei. Ji Xiangyu spoke to Li Mei impolitely, “If you have something to say, you can say it to me. Why are you looking for her?”
This kind of conversation did not sound like one between a mother and son at all; it sounded more like a conversation between two enemies!
Qing Tian tugged at Ji Xiangyu’s sleeve and said, “Ji Xiangyu, you’ve misunderstood!”
Ji Xiangyu ignored Qing Tian’s words and said to Li Mei, “Please leave.”
Li Mei showed no disappointment, her expression remaining cold. Regarding this child, Ji Xiangyu, she shouldn’t have given birth to him in the first place. If Ji Junhua hadn’t insisted on having a child with her, she might never have had offspring of the Ji Family.
It wasn’t that she didn’t love Ji Xiangyu back then; after all, he carried half of her blood. Now that mother and son had fallen out, she felt regret, but also a sense of relief, as she no longer had to pretend to be a good mother!
Li Mei put on a faint smile and said to Ji Xiangyu, “Xiao Yu, I understand that you hate me. However, I sincerely wish you a happy married life and hope you don’t end up like your Dad and me!”
