Qing Tian shouted, “Bruce, turn around and leave! Situ Jingyi has gone mad!”
Bruce finally reacted. He immediately inserted the key, shifted to automatic, and executed a perfect sideways maneuver to reverse the car. However, at that exact moment, Ji Xiangyu raised an iron rod and smashed it down fiercely onto the car mirror. To be honest, the purpose of a luxury car is that one blow wouldn’t shatter it. It was just that Situ Jingyi, with some unknown strength, quickly delivered another blow.
The car mirror immediately began to splinter into countless fragments, thankfully not breaking.
Bruce immediately accelerated and drove the car away. Qing Tian saw from the rearview mirror that Situ Jingyi was driving to chase after them!
She urged, “Situ Jingyi has truly gone mad, openly trying to kill us! Bruce, shake her off quickly!”
Bruce saw from the rearview mirror that Situ Jingyi was closely pursuing them in a red sports car. Without even bothering with the card swipe, she directly crashed through the guardrail and drove off. Just as the security guard at the booth was about to curse, he saw another fiery red sports car, driven by a woman with disheveled hair, literally run over the guardrail right before his eyes!
The security guard then stepped out of his booth, pointing at the two cars speeding away, and yelled, “What the hell is going on?”
However, the only reply he received was the silent air. He frowned and said, “On my first day on duty, I encounter such unlucky events!”
Meanwhile, Bruce, driving Qing Tian, had already gotten onto the elevated highway, heading towards the hospital. But neither of them knew why Situ Jingyi was chasing them.
Inside the car, Qing Tian quickly took out her mobile phone and made a call. It was answered shortly after. As soon as Xia Yang picked up, he anxiously asked, “Qing Tian, didn’t Bruce pick you up?”
Qing Tian covered the phone and said, “He did, but we’re being chased by Situ Jingyi. I don’t know why she’s chasing us. She was smashing cars with an iron rod in the parking lot. She looked completely out of her mind!”
Xia Yang’s heart jolted. Looking at Ji Xiangyu, who had already woken up, he said, “Chairman, Situ Jingyi is here too!”
Ji Xiangyu recalled Situ Jingyi’s previous threat of suicide and said ominously, “Tell Bruce to definitely come to the hospital. Don’t go anywhere else!”
Actually, Qing Tian had already heard Ji Xiangyu’s words. Hearing his voice was a great comfort, and the anxiety in her heart eased. Tears, however, welled up involuntarily. But she deliberately suppressed her voice; she couldn’t let Ji Xiangyu worry at such a critical moment!
Qing Tian composed herself and said, “We understand!”
They then drove directly to the hospital. As soon as they got out of the car, Bruce grabbed Qing Tian and they sprinted upstairs. They chose to take the stairs. By the time Situ Jingyi caught up, they had already reached Ji Xiangyu’s hospital room!
Upon seeing Ji Xiangyu, Qing Tian immediately threw herself into his embrace, but this caused Ji Xiangyu to cry out in pain. Qing Tian became even more nervous and asked, “Where are you hurt?”
Just as Ji Xiangyu was about to answer, Situ Jingyi’s voice echoed from the doorway: “Bitch, where do you think you’re running!”
As she was about to rush in, she was subdued by Xia Yang and pinned against the wall. Even while pinned, Situ Jingyi struggled desperately, like a madwoman, shouting and screaming, “Let me go, let me go, let me go!”
Although this was a super VIP ward, it still attracted quite a crowd. Bruce quickly found a doctor. The doctor and nurses, seeing Situ Jingyi’s frenzied state, quickly stepped forward with a sedative and administered an injection.
Situ Jingyi still struggled, refusing to comply. The syringe was almost contorted due to her thrashing. Qing Tian couldn’t bear to watch such a gruesome scene and buried her head in Ji Xiangyu’s embrace, blaming herself, thinking that if it weren’t for her, Situ Jingyi wouldn’t have gone so mad. In reality, no one is innocent. Loving someone is not wrong; it’s just that Situ Jingyi’s way of loving others was too extreme, her possessiveness too strong!
Finally, Situ Jingyi quieted down due to the sedative, but Qing Tian did not feel relieved because of it!
She grasped Ji Xiangyu’s hand and asked, “Where were you last night?”
Ji Xiangyu hugged Qing Tian and smiled reassuringly, “Don’t worry too much. Everything is fine now. I’m alive and well!”
Qing Tian frowned and looked at Ji Xiangyu sadly, “If you weren’t alive, I would have followed you.”
Ji Xiangyu covered her mouth, “Don’t say such things. The baby can hear you!”
Qing Tian sighed. Indeed, the baby could hear. She couldn’t say such inauspicious words. As long as Ji Xiangyu was alive, that was all that mattered!
Xia Yang stood aside, watching the happy scene between Qing Tian and Ji Xiangyu, feeling a sense of relief. As long as Qing Tian was happy, it was good. It was truly good that Qing Tian was happy. Seeing her happy was enough!
