Chapter Forty-Four: Xia Yang vs. Li Chen
The four men swung their iron rods at Xia Yang, the first one striking at him with rapid blows. Xia Yang easily dodged the attacker’s assault with just a few flashes.
Seeing the situation was not good, another man joined the first, and together they skillfully struck at Xia Yang. Just as the iron rod was about to fall on his head, Xia Yang reached out and firmly gripped the iron rod. Unexpectedly, the third man was ready to ambush, striking heavily at his feet. He extended his leg and kicked away the iron rod’s attack, simultaneously using his strength to kick away another man’s iron rod.
Seeing how capable Xia Yang was, the four men attacked him together. Xia Yang had just blocked the iron rods from the first two men when the latter two pressed their attack. He dodged the falling iron rods with a ninety-degree bend.

Xia Yang performed a backflip, landing perfectly.
Then, dusting himself off, he said with a cold laugh, “White Tiger, aren’t you coming out?”
Li Chen threw away his sunglasses and put on specially customized leather gloves with deadly weapons attached. These weapons were custom-made specifically to deal with Xia Yang. Without these deadly weapons, he wouldn’t have had such great confidence in defeating Xia Yang, let alone starting trouble.
The corners of his mouth curved into an evil smile, a very sinister grin.
Qing Tian, watching from outside, sensed something was wrong. She said to Song Shishi, “Oh no, Li Chen tampered with his leather gloves. Xia Yang will be at a disadvantage fighting bare-handed!”
Song Shishi had already noticed something was amiss, but she didn’t want to disrupt the fight. She advised Qing Tian, “You shouldn’t go in. Later, Xia Yang will have to deal with Li Chen and also worry about taking care of you. Do you think you’ll still have a reason to be a burden then?”
Qing Tian clenched her fists, enduring. She was indeed a burden to Xia Yang.

He pointed at Li Chen and said dismissively, “You’re resorting to trickery?”

Li Chen said smugly, “I never thought you, the invincible Black Eagle, would one day kneel before me, your White Tiger!”

Li Chen continued, “Do you know what I hate about you the most? Since you can defeat everyone, shouldn’t you taste what it’s like to be defeated by someone else? When people stand too high, they fall even harder!”
Xia Yang didn’t answer, just glared at him.
Just as Li Chen was about to speak again, his head was suddenly struck, and the sound of breaking glass was heard. He reached up to touch his head, and blood was flowing.
He turned around in anger and, upon seeing a woman wearing a First High School uniform, let out an evil laugh. “Yo, isn’t this my worn-out old shoe? What are you doing here to save the Black Eagle?”
Song Shishi still held the broken wine bottle in her hand. Although she knew this wine bottle couldn’t defeat Li Chen, she was unhappy with her ex-boyfriend who had once doted on her but then cruelly abandoned her.
Song Shishi said with a conflicted expression, “White Tiger, today I’m going to settle this with you!”
Just as Song Shishi was about to charge forward for a life-or-death struggle, Qing Tian came out and held her back, saying, “Shishi, don’t…”
The scene amused Li Chen. He stood there nonchalantly and asked, “What do you two want here?”
At the same moment, seeing Qing Tian, Xia Yang was stunned. However, his gaze remained fierce; he didn’t want Qing Tian to see him in such a pathetic state.
Qing Tian pointed her finger at Li Chen and said, “No matter what you want to achieve, release Xia Yang immediately.”
Li Chen walked over to Qing Tian and circled her, looking her up and down. “You’re the Black Eagle’s girlfriend? You’re quite ordinary. How did the Black Eagle’s taste decline so drastically? Hahahaha…”
