Chapter 9: Causing Trouble
As soon as Song Shishi arrived at First High School, she saw Qing Tian surrounded by a group of women. The tall one with dyed sapphire blue hair was Qin Hailan, the school’s top girl. There were six or seven women in total, and none of them looked like good people.
Song Shishi called her sister over and, as she approached, saw Qing Tian leaning against the wall, her eyes wide as she stared at the people surrounding her.
Song Shishi couldn’t understand what kind of entanglement Qing Tian could have with Qin Hailan and the others. These people, who had no connection whatsoever, were now clashing.
But she couldn’t just stand by and watch her sister get bullied, so she aggressively pushed them aside, stood beside Qing Tian, and asked with concern, “Sister, how did you get into trouble with them?”
Qing Tian looked at Song Shishi helplessly and said softly, “I don’t understand the situation either. They just came over!”
At this point, Song Shishi was even more confused. Since Qing Tian hadn’t provoked them, it meant that group of people simply disliked Qing Tian!
The woman next to Qin Hailan saw that it was Song Shishi and provocatively said, “Oh, isn’t this Sister Song? What business do you have here?”
Song Shishi put her arm around Qing Tian’s shoulder and raised an eyebrow, saying unhappily to the woman, “You should ask who she is to me.”
The woman was about to speak again but was stopped by Qin Hailan. Qin Hailan approached Song Shishi, removed her hand from Qing Tian’s shoulder, and said in a tone as cold as the Arctic snow, “I have something to say to her. Everyone else, go away!”
Song Shishi looked at Qing Tian with worry. Qing Tian maintained her original expression, her aura alone intimidating everyone. Qing Tian said faintly, “I have nothing to say to you!”
Then, she gently pushed Qin Hailan, who was blocking her path, aside and said politely, “Excuse me!”
Qin Hailan was stunned on the spot; Qing Tian’s actions surprised her.
She reflexively grabbed Qing Tian’s hand, stopping her from moving forward. As soon as her hand touched Qing Tian’s icy cold hands, she was even more shocked and thought to herself, this person is truly cold! No wonder everyone at school calls her an Iceberg Beauty! Seeing her today, it’s true; her name suits her perfectly, so cold it makes one shiver!
The moment she touched her, she met Qing Tian’s eyes. She was a little taken aback; the emotions contained within them were exactly the same as Xia Yang’s. No wonder Xia Yang was so fond of this girl!
At this moment, she understood!
Qing Tian and Xia Yang, put together, meant summerandsunday!
They were people from the same world; they shared the same state of mind!
This time, she just wanted to see what the person who made Xia Yang’s heart flutter looked like. After seeing her today, whether in terms of aura or temperament, she had ultimately lost.
Qing Tian, a person who was outwardly strong and inwardly independent. She had nothing particularly special about her, but she was indifferent and absent-minded towards things. Such a woman was more attractive than those lively and cute women!
Everyone present watched in surprise as Qing Tian left their sight, looking at Qin Hailan with confusion. Qin Hailan waved her hand, signaling others not to follow, and then chased in the direction Qing Tian had gone.
When she caught up to Qing Tian, she asked, a little out of breath, “Qing Tian, right?”
Qing Tian nodded. Qin Hailan extended her hand and said sincerely, “My name is Qin Hailan. You can call me A Lan. It’s nice to meet you!”
Qing Tian didn’t quite understand. She didn’t have many friends at First High School. The person who had surrounded her with a group of people early in the morning was now being friendly. Qing Tian tightly gripped her clothes, hesitating to reach out!
It was Qin Hailan’s first time being met with a closed door soup. She withdrew her hand a little unnaturally and said, “I’m sincere. Let’s be friends. The confrontation this morning was just a misunderstanding!”
How could Qing Tian believe her explanation? A misunderstanding? What misunderstanding? This was probably the first time they had met!
“I’m sorry, but I appreciate your kindness!”
She turned and left!
Qin Hailan quickly asked, “Why?”
Her answer was Qing Tian’s retreating back. The September morning carried a chill. Qin Hailan looked at someone so intently for the first time.
