Jiang Ning returned to the apartment at already six in the afternoon.
Her expression was somewhat grave.
Opening the door, Xie Jingyan, wearing a pink apron, stood at the entrance waiting for her.
He looked her up and down before inquiring: “How did the talk go?”

“I’m a grown woman; I don’t need you to keep me company.”
Xie Jingyan pretended not to hear, taking clean change of clothes prepared by Assistant Wu from the handbag at his feet—even slippers were ready.
He stood up: “I smell like grease and smoke; I’ll take a shower here first, then head out later.”
Jiang Ning: “???”
Seeing Xie Jingyan go to the bathroom to shower.
Jiang Ning was speechless for a moment, then sat on the sofa to watch television.
Unknowingly, she fell asleep, waking only when her body lifted into the air.
Xie Jingyan, bare-chested, was carrying her toward the bedroom.
Jiang Ning yawned, nestling in his arms. Lying on her soft big bed, she slowly instructed with eyes closed: “Remember to close the door when you leave.”
Xie Jingyan raised an eyebrow, turned to close the bedroom door, then got on the bed, half-pressing over Jiang Ning, breathing heavily as he began to kiss her.
