Chapter 1: Kitten Dictionary
It’s over…
Christmas carols echoed through the hot spring villa in the evening, and young men and women chatted with smiling faces.
However, Jiang Yuan couldn’t feel the festive atmosphere; her mind was filled with the thought of offending the protagonists and dying without a whole corpse at twenty-five.
It’s over!
An hour ago, Jiang Yuan found a room to rest due to a headache, and in a daze, she had a dream.
In the dream, the world she lived in was actually a novel, and she was the vicious female supporting character, the green tea girl, controlled by the plot, vain, malicious, and wicked.
As she grew older, she hated her half-sister, the novel’s heroine, Jiang Die, more and more.
Jiang Die was designed to lose her virginity and, by chance, had a one-night stand with the male lead, Fu Jinxing, resulting in an unplanned pregnancy. Jiang Yuan seized the opportunity to instigate her father to kick her out of the house.
After Jiang Die gave birth to dragon and phoenix twins, Jiang Yuan, while appearing as a gentle aunt on the surface, always abused the twins in secret, even intentionally losing one of the girls.
Jiang Yuan also impersonated Jiang Die, falsely claiming to be the woman who had a one-night stand with Fu Jinxing five years ago and spending his money on other men.
Later, upon learning she was the true daughter who was swapped at birth in a wealthy family, Jiang Yuan resolutely abandoned the parents who raised her.
However, the vicious female supporting character ultimately met a terrible end; her biological parents despised her, the male and female leads saw through her true face, and her adoptive parents were also deeply disappointed in her.
In the end, Jiang Yuan was cruelly retaliated against and died without a whole corpse, even causing her best friend Fu Xiaoxiao, who wholeheartedly helped her, to become permanently disabled.
After recalling the contents of the dream, Jiang Yuan was soaked in cold sweat.
For the first time, she realized how vicious she actually was.
A few things from the dream were true: hating Jiang Die, secretly abusing the twins, impersonating someone, and intentionally losing one of the dragon and phoenix twins.
Jiang Yuan turned on her mobile phone screen; three hours had passed since she lost Momo.
Her heart filled with despair, she murmured, “It’s over, I’m going to die.”

Jiang Yuan knitted her brows, “What does that mean?”
She had heard this voice in the dream too.

Subsequently, several red numbers appeared before Jiang Yuan’s eyes, and time was ticking away second by second.
She tried hard to stay calm, “What does the Counterattack System mean?”
【 System 009: The Counterattack System means the system can help you counterattack. 】
“…”
Jiang Yuan thought of her plot-controlled, crazy, and vicious self and couldn’t help but shiver.
No! Absolutely not!
She decisively rushed out of the villa.
“Hey, Jiang Yuan, why are you running away?”
“Yuan Yuan, where are you going?”
Jiang Yuan looked back at Fu Xiaoxiao, leaving behind the sentence, “I have an urgent matter, I’ll contact you later,” and left.
She drove to the place where she had left Momo earlier, but it was empty.
Jiang Yuan hurried out of the car to look for her, flipping through photos and asking the surrounding shopkeepers and passersby. Everyone shook their heads and waved their hands, and her heart sank to the bottom instantly.
Could she not escape the fate of being controlled by the plot?
Jiang Yuan stood under the night sky, snowflakes falling on her one by one. Her nose was red from the cold, and her eyes were also red.
The countdown before her eyes was less than an hour.
“Did that human cub get eaten by Big Black?”
“She’s crying so miserably, she must have been eaten.”
The conversation abruptly entered Jiang Yuan’s ears. She looked over, saw no one, but two cats lazily lying beside the noodle shop.
“She said she was waiting for her aunt to buy oranges, why is her aunt taking so long?”
“You ask me, who am I supposed to ask?”
Jiang Yuan’s dark pupils contracted violently, and her small face, red from the cold, was full of disbelief.
The cats…
The cats were talking!
She could actually understand them?
【 System 009: This is a novice reward! 】
When she left Momo behind, Jiang Yuan did say she was going to buy a few oranges and told the child to wait for her to come back.
Her body reacted faster than her brain. She was already walking towards the two cats in high heels, excitedly asking, “Did you see Momo? Can you tell me where she is?”
The approach of the human made the two cats instinctively flee.
“Why did she suddenly come over? You scared me to death,” said the calico cat.
“I dislike humans who don’t have a sense of boundaries,” said the tabby cat.
Jiang Yuan chased after them, saying, “I didn’t mean to scare you…”
The two cats looked at each other in surprise: Seeing ghosts, this human can actually understand us?
“I want to ask where the little girl who was waiting for her aunt to buy oranges went?” Jiang Yuan explained.
The two cats gradually stopped.
“We’re hungry,” said the calico cat.
Jiang Yuan: “…”
She immediately went to a nearby convenience store and bought several cans of cat food.
After eating their fill, the kittens were willing to provide information.
“That human cub might have been eaten by Big Black.”
“Who is Big Black?” Jiang Yuan asked, frowning.
The calico cat: “A big black dog.”
The tabby cat: “Terrifying.”
Jiang Yuan’s heart tightened, “Which direction did she run?”
The kittens stared at the cat food cans in her arms and agreed to lead the way.
After winding through several dark alleys, a faint light finally appeared.
An unpleasant smell emanated from the air, and Jiang Yuan vaguely saw a dog’s silhouette standing by the trash can.
“Woof woof woof!”
Sensing the presence of humans, the big black dog barked a few warning barks.
The calico cat and the tabby cat tacitly retreated.
Jiang Yuan turned back and asked, “Is this the Big Black you mentioned?”
“Yes!” Both cats responded simultaneously.
Jiang Yuan took a deep breath and asked the big black dog, “Where is the little girl you were chasing just now?”
Big Black dog: “Woof woof woof!”
Jiang Yuan clenched her hands hanging by her side tightly, and fine beads of sweat seeped out from her forehead.
She could understand the cats speaking, but not the big black dog.
Just as Jiang Yuan felt helpless, she suddenly heard a faint, weak baby voice.
“Auntie…”
She suddenly looked up and towards the trash can in front of the big black dog.
The big black dog began to bark violently and even jumped onto the lid of the trash can, its sharp teeth biting the handle, trying to open the lid.
Jiang Yuan’s heart instantly ignited with hope, “Momo, are you hiding inside the trash can?”
A sobbing baby voice came softly from inside the trash can, “Wuwuwu, Auntie, I’m sorry, Momo didn’t mean to wait for you, the big dog was so scary…”
Even though she was set up as a malicious green tea villainess, Jiang Yuan actually felt a bit of guilt upon hearing the child’s apology.
“Don’t be scared,” Jiang Yuan said, comforting the child somewhat stiffly.
She stared at the nearly frantic big black dog, her heart pounding like a drum.
She had to find a way to make it leave.
However, the big black dog was not afraid of humans; no matter how Jiang Yuan tried to scare it, it showed no fear and continued to gnaw frantically at the trash can lid.
After about half an hour of stalemate, Jiang Yuan suddenly thought of something and turned to run back the way she came.
