Chapter 11: A Bloody Human Head
Si Heng’s brow furrowed as he looked at the words indicating human tissue in the food inspection report, his handsome face etched with a solemn expression.
“Brother Heng?” team member Meng Xiaokai beside him asked curiously, “What does the report say?”
Si Heng lifted his eyes, his gaze sharp, “Miss Jiang was right.”
Meng Xiaokai’s face changed drastically, “This…”
“I’ll go find the director.” Si Heng stood up and strode towards the director’s office.
Ten minutes later, Si Heng notified the team members to have a meeting.
On the other side, Jiang Yuan was sitting in a milk tea shop and caught sight of a mouse hiding by the trash can.
She asked softly, “Is that Shu Li?”
The mice all looked similar, so she could only ask tentatively.
The mouse looked over.
After a few seconds, Jiang Yuan heard the mouse burst into excited squeaks, “You are the one Aunt Shu Li mentioned, the one who can understand our mouse language and is very generous, aren’t you, Yuan Yuan?”
Aunt Shu Li, so she was a relative of the two mice from yesterday.
Jiang Yuan: “Yes.”
“My name is Shu Guang,” the little mouse introduced himself.
Jiang Yuan was about to say something when she suddenly felt a shadow cast over her from above.
Jiang Yuan looked up in confusion and met a handsome face.
“Captain Si.” She raised an eyebrow, “Did the test results come out?”

Si Heng strode towards Old Wang’s Fried Food Shop, with two plainclothes police officers following behind him.
As the group walked to the entrance of Old Wang’s Fried Food Shop, Old Wang happened to come out of a small room with a basin of marinated meat.
Seeing three tall, strong men, Old Wang was stunned for a moment, then smiled and explained, “Excuse me, handsome gentlemen, the ingredients prepared today are all sold out. You can come back tomorrow if you want to eat.”
Si Heng’s gaze fell on the basin of meat in his hand, “What kind of meat is this?”
Old Wang: “Pork.”
“Is that so?” Si Heng stared at him, his eyes filled with scrutiny.
Old Wang’s eyes flickered, and he stopped smiling, “Of course, how could I lie to people? You guys should leave quickly and don’t delay my work.”
Si Heng showed his work ID, “A citizen reported that you murdered and hid a body, and are selling human flesh.”
Old Wang’s face changed drastically, and then he loudly denied, “I didn’t! You’re slandering me!”
Si Heng said indifferently, “Handcuff him.”
Meng Xiaokai took out silver handcuffs and approached the other party.
Si Heng pushed aside the door curtain and entered the small room, his brow furrowed at the messy and vile environment inside.
He put on a mask and gloves and approached the freezer, opening the door.
A bloody human head appeared.
Si Heng’s expression was solemn, and he forcefully closed the freezer door.
Old Wang’s heart sank when he heard the sound.
Si Heng had already reached him, staring at him with eyes like swords, and asked sternly, “Whose human head is in the freezer?”
“What human head, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Old Wang lowered his eyes.
Si Heng’s face was ashen, and he said coldly, “Take him away.”
They walked out of the fried food shop, and several uniformed police officers immediately stepped forward to enforce the law, sealing off Old Wang’s Fried Food Shop.
The onlookers were all curious.
People in the surrounding shops craned their necks.
Jiang Yuan was sitting in the adjacent milk tea shop, her face fair and elegant, her long, dark, curly hair falling on her chest, making her skin appear even more fair and radiant.
She turned her head to watch Old Wang being escorted into the police car, her gaze calm, her merits and reputation deeply hidden.
When she retracted her gaze, she met the gaze of a pair of dark, deep eyes.
Si Heng nodded slightly at her.
Jiang Yuan raised an eyebrow and got up to leave.
The system prompt suddenly sounded.

On the afternoon of the third, Jiang Yuan got into Fu Xiaoxiao’s luxury car to go to the suburbs for a hot spring.
The black Porsche sped along the highway, pure white snowflakes falling steadily, adorning the branches on both sides of the road.
Jiang Yuan was talking to Fu Xiaoxiao when her phone rang.
It was an unfamiliar number.
She pressed the answer button.
“Miss Jiang,” the voice on the other end spoke first.
Jiang Yuan blinked her eyes, “Captain Si?”
“It’s me.” Si Heng stood by the window, looking at the snow outside, “Wang Zhixin murdered his wife.”
Jiang Yuan thought this was the normal procedure for notifying the reporter of the case details.
She said softly, “Okay.”
Si Heng spoke again, “He said his wife was cheating, not only demanding he keep it secret but also demanding he pay living expenses to her lover every month.”
Jiang Yuan frowned, “He’s lying.”
“Does Miss Jiang know the reason?” Si Heng asked.
Jiang Yuan suddenly realized she had said something wrong.
She was a customer, how could she know what happened at Old Wang’s place.
Jiang Yuan gripped her phone and exerted slight force, “I don’t know the reason, it’s just an intuition.”
“Why do you have such an intuition?”
“…”
Jiang Yuan fell silent.
Si Heng was not in a hurry and waited patiently for her answer.
Jiang Yuan pressed her lips together and paraphrased what the mouse couple had said: “Once I went to the shop to buy something and heard the shop owner constantly scolding his wife. It seemed to be because the shop owner preferred sons over daughters, and since he only had one daughter, he wanted to use the family’s money to buy a house for his nephew, but his wife disagreed.”
Fu Xiaoxiao was driving and upon hearing this, immediately complained, “Is he crazy? Does his nephew not have a father? Why should he give him money?”
Jiang Yuan sighed, “I also thought it was outrageous, so I still remember it clearly.”
“I understand,” Si Heng’s tone became much gentler, “Thank you, Miss Jiang.”
“Is there anything else?” Jiang Yuan asked.
Si Heng: “No.”
“Then goodbye.”
Jiang Yuan hung up the phone, and Fu Xiaoxiao began to inquire about the situation.
Jiang Yuan did not hide from her that she could understand some animals, and recounted the entire incident.
“Holy cow, holy cow!” Fu Xiaoxiao was stunned, “Baby, you’re too cool! Can you understand tigers? Let’s go to the zoo in a couple of days, okay!”
Jiang Yuan was not sure, “Tigers are felines, I don’t know if they belong to the same language family as cats.”
“We’ll know if we try! And you’re so brave, hearing what those two mice said and actually going to the police station to report it!” Fu Xiaoxiao exclaimed while driving.
Jiang Yuan raised an eyebrow, “I didn’t think that much at the time.”
She never imagined that animals would lie.
At 3:30 in the afternoon, the car drove into the hot spring resort villa area.
Fu Xiaoxiao had already booked in advance and drove directly to Villa No. 6.
As soon as she got out of the car, she excitedly pulled Jiang Yuan to look for animals, “Are there any stray cats nearby? Hurry and perform your superpower for me!”
