Chapter 305: “no… No More Breaking Up.”
In Fang Mengyun’s opinion, He Linwen, who adopted stray cats, should also be a kind and compassionate person.
However, he did things that went against proper moral values.
He Linwen met her gaze and put on a humble expression, “Yunyun, can we not separate? I was bewitched this time and made a mistake. I’ll change in the future, okay?”
Fang Mengyun pressed her lips together and sighed deeply, “Linwen, in reality, the two of us are not suitable. Why can’t we part amicably?”
“I don’t want to.” He Linwen stepped forward, pulled Fang Mengyun’s hand, and pleaded, “Yunyun, please don’t break up, okay? Please give me another chance…”
“Why are you forcing me?” Fang Mengyun pulled her hand back, her brows tightly furrowed. “Linwen, I’ve realized I don’t know you at all. You’re like a changed person now…”
He Linwen said eagerly, “Yunyun, I’ve become like this because I care about you too much, do you know that?”
“You…” Fang Mengyun sighed, “The way you are really makes me feel troubled.”
He Linwen raised his hand to adjust his glasses and looked at her with gentle, deep affection, “Yunyun, I just hope you’ll give me another chance. I guarantee I won’t do anything to betray you again, okay?”
“No.” Fang Mengyun answered decisively. “Stop pestering me. Can’t you be more carefree? Stop saying that you’ll die if we break up. Would Aunt Na be happy with you acting like this?”
“I can’t be carefree!” He Linwen lowered his head, a sinister glint flashing in his eyes. He walked to the floor-to-ceiling glass on the balcony and pulled the curtains closed.
He stood with his back to Fang Mengyun, gritting his teeth, and said word by word, “Yunyun, I’ll beg you one last time, please don’t break up, okay?”
Fang Mengyun’s tone remained firm, “Sorry, it’s really not possible. My mind is made up, please stop talking.”
She looked at He Linwen’s back and said seriously, “Linwen, if we can’t be lovers, we can still be friends. I wish you happiness, goodbye.”
After saying these words, Fang Mengyun turned and walked towards the entrance.
He Linwen suddenly turned around, his eyes under his lenses staring sinisterly at her, “Fang Mengyun!”
Fang Mengyun didn’t respond and continued walking.
He Linwen quickly stepped forward, reached out, and fiercely grabbed her hair. His face was as gloomy as water. “I’m talking to you, are you deaf?”
A sharp, dull pain suddenly struck her scalp, and Fang Mengyun cried out, “What are you doing?”
He Linwen pushed her to the ground, his hands around her neck, his face ferocious and terrifying. “Yunyun, why are you forcing me?”
“You…” Fang Mengyun instantly felt difficulty breathing and struggled forcefully on the ground. “Linwen, calm down!”
“I can’t calm down!” He Linwen’s face was ashen, his gaze ferocious. “You’re the one who forced me into this!”
Fang Mengyun couldn’t break free from his grip, her fair face turning red from lack of air. She said painfully, “Linwen, let go, I can’t breathe…”
He Linwen released his grip and put on a concerned expression again. “Yunyun, are you okay?”
Fang Mengyun gasped for air, sat up from the ground, and looked at the man before her, her heart filled with fear. “I want to go home…”
She got up from the ground, her voice filled with suppressed sobs, “I want to go home…”
Fang Mengyun stumbled towards the entrance.
He Linwen grabbed her hair from behind again. “Did I agree to let you go home?”
Fang Mengyun was pressed against the wall by him, her cheek hurting.
He Linwen approached her from behind, whispering into her ear, “Yunyun, do you still want to break up?”
Fang Mengyun bit her lip and said nothing.
She felt that He Linwen had gone crazy.
“Why aren’t you answering?” He Linwen suddenly laughed maniacally. “Speak, Yunyun, I’m waiting for your answer.”
Fang Mengyun painfully closed her eyes, tears streaming down her face. She choked out, “No… we won’t break up.”
“Are you really not breaking up, or are you lying to me?” He Linwen fiercely tugged her hair.
Fang Mengyun cried out in pain and answered with a crying tone, “Really, we’re not breaking up. Let me go, okay?”
“Is that so?” He Linwen sneered and, indeed, let her go.
Fang Mengyun turned around, looking at him with terrified eyes.
He Linwen rubbed his wrist and raised his hand to touch her tear-streaked face, his tone revealing heartache. “Yunyun, why are you crying?”
Fang Mengyun shivered all over and froze again.
She trembled and said, “I… I…”
The next second, He Linwen’s expression suddenly changed. He forcefully slapped her face. “Why did you refuse to break up when I begged you? You were so heartless, so cruel? Our three-year relationship, you want to end it just like that?”
“You betrayed me first…” Fang Mengyun covered her stinging cheek, shrinking into the wall corner.
“I’m a man!” He Linwen’s gaze was contemptuous and arrogant. “What’s wrong with me dating a few other women? Isn’t that normal? How is that considered betrayal? Can’t you tolerate even a speck of dust in your eye?”
Fang Mengyun looked at him in shock, never expecting him to say such a thing so matter-of-factly.
She gaped in astonishment, not knowing what to say for a moment.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” He Linwen scolded, then slapped her again. “I begged you so humbly not to break up, I even knelt before you, and you still refused me. You’re really pushing your luck!”
“You…” Fang Mengyun felt wronged and annoyed, and she retorted angrily, “Are your knees that valuable? Who do you think you are?”
He Linwen stared at her coldly, his fists clenched, veins bulging on the back of his hand. He gritted his teeth and said, “How dare you speak to me with that attitude?”
“You’re crazy!” Fang Mengyun’s anger surged, and she slapped him. “He Linwen, you’re beyond saving!”
“Heh…” He Linwen raised his hand to touch his cheek and said with a cold smile, “Yunyun, it seems I’ve been too good to you, making you think I’m easy to bully, right?”
“I have nothing more to say to you!” Fang Mengyun pushed him away forcefully and ran hurriedly towards the entrance.
Seeing this, He Linwen grabbed a stool nearby and threw it at her.
The stool hit Fang Mengyun’s lower back. She grunted in pain and fell to the ground.
He Linwen slowly walked to her side, squatted down to admire her in pain, a teasing arc forming on his lips. “Yunyun, does it hurt?”
Fang Mengyun lay on the ground, sweating profusely from the pain, tears rolling down her face in large drops, unable to even form a complete sentence. “I, I’m in, so much pain…”
“It hurts.” He Linwen grinned brilliantly. “It’s right that it hurts.”
Fang Mengyun curled her fingers and choked out, “Why, why, are you, doing, this, to, me?”
“Didn’t I already tell you? You’re the one who forced me to do all of this.” He Linwen said with a cold laugh, but his tone was exceptionally gentle. “Yunyun, it’s all your fault for being so unappreciative.”
