There’s an old saying: “A master is not on the way, and a doctor does not knock on doors.” This means that such people cannot be helped. Simply put, if a Feng Shui master is looking at someone’s Feng Shui, and you see him and want him to look at yours too, he absolutely will not help you. Unless you specifically hire him, otherwise, after he has done his work, he won’t even pay attention to you.
“Doctor does not knock on doors” is even simpler. Have you ever seen a doctor go door-to-door asking if anyone needs medical attention? No, right? And when you go to see a doctor, the doctor doesn’t even mention money. Would you arrogantly say to the doctor, “I have something I want to ask you”? Or would you tell the doctor what you think? If you do that, why are you looking for a doctor? You can handle it yourself, right?
People are valuable for their self-awareness. Do not expect help from others as if it is your right. No good teacher will spoil you. If there is one, it’s because they have ulterior motives, either towards your father or your mother. They definitely want something in return.

“So-called karma and karmic retribution are also called cause and effect. Everyone believes that the world’s destiny is determined by the cause that leads to the effect. Simply put, what you sow today, you will reap tomorrow, just like planting melons yields melons and planting beans yields beans. But this is only one aspect. The study in between also includes affinity.”
For example, if you plant a corn seed today, will it produce corn? Not necessarily, it also depends on affinity. What kind of affinity is this? It’s like suitable soil, sunlight, air, water, and fertilizer, and other factors. Only with these essential conditions can the fruit truly be produced.
In other words, it is not the cause that determines the effect, or rather, the cause cannot determine the final effect; it is the cause and affinity that determine the effect.
And what determines the affinity? It is karma that determines the affinity. Karma can be divided into two types: one is called good karma, and the other is called bad karma.
Master Shenxiu had a poem, the original words were: “The body is the Bodhi tree, the mind is like a bright mirror stand. Constantly wipe it clean, so that no dust may alight.”
This means that people’s hearts are like mirrors. This mirror can reflect all things in the world. But if this mirror is covered with dust, it cannot reflect anything. To be able to reflect all things in the world again, one must constantly wipe it clean. That is to say, one must often wipe this mirror.
This principle states that everyone is an awakened being. The reason why one is not awakened is because of too much karma, which forms karmic obstructions, which are the dust on the mirror.
Many people are pursuing results, wealth, and health. These outcomes are also determined by cause and affinity.
From the moment a person is born, the causes of their past life are cleared, meaning they lose their previous memories. In this life, whether you are kind or wicked, good or bad, depends on your choices.
And the karma of the past life is also transformed into affinity during reincarnation. This affinity is interesting. For example, the first time you go somewhere, you feel like you’ve been there before. You just met someone, and you feel like you’ve known them before. Or perhaps you do something for the first time, but you feel like you’ve done it before. This is karma transforming into affinity.
So, it can be understood that the causes of the past life are empty in this life, and the karma of the past life is also transformed into emptiness. And this affinity is the real existence.
Many people today are fatalistic. When they go for fortune-telling, and the astrologer looks at their birth date and time, they will say: “Your fate is already determined. You will have a lot of money in this life,” or “Your life is over, and it will be like this, you’ll surely struggle with everything.”
Fatalistic people hear this and their world collapses. They think, “If my fate is already determined, why should I struggle? Should I just wait? I’ll wait for the money that’s meant for me to come!” Or if they were destined to have no money, and there’s no point in striving, then they might as well just lie down and give up.
But is the result predetermined? The result is not! Cause and karma are both empty. Only affinity is predetermined!
In other words, as long as you can use positive energy to form good affinities with every encounter in life, and then refrain from creating new bad karma, you will obtain good results.
The principle is simple, only nine words: “Sow good causes, form good affinities, obtain good results.”
It’s like the brothers and sisters who are reading Big Brother’s books now. I know that in the future, some people may have no fate to meet me, or some people may lose contact with me. But Big Brother will still sow this cause, hoping that one day you will awaken and attain great freedom. Because of the cause Big Brother sows, it helps you obtain your good results.
