An Unorthodox Cultivation Insight – Chapter 221

The Simplified Version Of High Knowledge

Chapter 221: The Simplified Version Of High Knowledge

Big Brother, I’ve been gnawing on a guitar, then condensed another one to keep gnawing, and kept gnawing until after the thirteenth one, when this guy Wuyou pulled out a mobile phone from his arms and threw it to me, transmitting to me: “Boss, some of my younger brothers and sisters are asking me things, can you help me reply?”

Oh my god, brother, you’re fighting over here, and you still have the mind to reply to others? Can’t you focus on the fight?

However, because of the connection between our hearts, Big Brother also deeply understands this guy Wuyou. He writes books to help those who believe in him face life with less worry, even carefree.

So, Big Brother couldn’t refuse. With the fourteenth guitar in my mouth, I took the phone and read:

“Big Brother, I saw that over ninety chapters are about fighting and I can’t bear to read on.”

Seeing that it was such a question, I replied without thinking: “Stop looking and get lost! Idiot, do you think Wuyou would easily teach you core stuff? He’s tempering your patience! If he only writes what you like to read, who do you think you are? You don’t spend any money, and you’re just causing trouble! Love it or leave it. If you don’t understand why you can’t keep reading, your ego is controlling you! This is so stupid.

Aren’t you stupid? Reading half a book for two days and causing trouble? Those who have been by the Master’s side for decades, if they were all like you, would they still be cultivating the Dao? They haven’t learned anything in decades and haven’t said a word, yet you’ve read a few chapters and are complaining about what?

As soon as I sent this reply, Wuyou, who was watching me, quickly said to me: “Damn, you, stop it! Don’t be so honest and drive them away, Boss. If you scold them away and they don’t come back to read, how will they awaken?”

I said irritably: “Who owes who? Whether they read it or not is their business, why do you care if they awaken or not? Those who don’t understand just attack you, and you’re worried about whether others can live clearly. You shouldn’t be called Wuyou anymore, you should be Monk Liao Chen.”

Hearing me say this, Liao Chen objected: “Amitabha, Boss, please don’t include me. If I get distracted and get beaten and can’t win, don’t blame me!”

Jie Wuchen also chimed in: “Boss, you’re right, who owes who? Dharma is not lightly transmitted, the Dao is not sold cheaply. Damn, reading a free book and causing trouble, they’re just spoiled!”

After Jie Wuchen finished speaking, Wuyou turned his head and glared at him fiercely.

Fine, damn it. Seeing this, Big Brother quickly withdrew the reply. If this goes wrong, we brothers will end up fighting amongst ourselves!

“Brothers, don’t mess around, don’t mess around. Big Brother will reply properly. You focus on fighting and don’t get distracted.”

Damn, for someone as awesome as Big Brother, only my own brothers can make me be low-key. If it were anyone else, would I bother with this?

After withdrawing the reply, I patiently said: “Just read it for fun. If you don’t like it, leave for now. Come back when you want to read it.”

After sending this, I looked at Wuyou again. Yes, he had quieted down this time.

Jie Wuchen shamelessly added fuel to the fire: “Boss, why do you care about those idiots? Drive them away, otherwise, how will Wuyou teach his disciples if there are a large group of people? Three people do not discuss the Dao, the Dao is not transmitted to two ears!”

Hearing this, Wuyou frowned again. This time he didn’t glare at Jie Wuchen; he seemed to agree with the statement, but he was also somewhat displeased inwardly.

This made me so angry, oh my damn ass, I waved my hand and pulled Jie Wuchen over, and kicked him in the butt: “I’ll kick your grandpa’s ass! We’re all on the same side! You shut up and fight. If you say one more word, I’ll suck you back and refine you!”

After scaring Jie Wuchen, the phone rang again.

“Beep beep.”

“Big Brother, Big Brother, what is a mind precept?”

“This is very simple. You know your own thoughts, and then you can control them, not be controlled by your thoughts. Any desires, distracting thoughts, love, hate, passion, and enmity – the moment you see your heart move with a thought, you know that the thought is just your past habits, your cognitive habits. Don’t follow it, don’t let it run. You can also transform it. Didn’t the Sixth Patriarch say, ‘If the heart is calm, why bother with precepts? If the actions are straight, why practice Zen?’ How simple is that? Not being controlled by thoughts, but controlling thoughts. Any thought is at your command. Lust arises, it’s your responsibility. Annoyance arises, it’s your responsibility. Anything that’s restless is because your heart moved. If your heart doesn’t move, it’s calm. A calm heart is a mind precept. You don’t need to think endlessly why, which means you don’t need to practice Zen.”

After replying, I asked Wuyou irritably: “Why are people still asking such simple questions? What did you write? Didn’t you explain it simply?”

Wuyou said helplessly: “I’ve explained it as simply as possible in the world! Boss, you know I have. The younger brothers and sisters’ cognition hasn’t reached that level yet, why are you picking on me? Damn it!”

Well, I can’t argue with this guy. He understands principles better than Big Brother. I sometimes can’t win against him. Cough cough cough.

“Yes, Boss, fighting is fighting, but you have to patiently reply even when fighting! Don’t get angry!” said Liao Chen.

“Why am I getting angry? I’m saying it’s too simple, can’t you teach something with higher difficulty?”

As soon as I finished speaking, another younger brother sent a message:

“Big Brother, I’ve been listening to Master Yongjia’s Song of Enlightenment for a long time and still don’t understand. Can you spare some time to explain it to me?”

Seeing such a polite child, Big Brother smiled. Of course, I have to explain! Don’t say I’m fighting, I have to explain even if I’m taking a dump. Humble children are the foundation and spiritual root for attaining the Dao.

Big Brother carefully read Master Yongjia’s Song of Enlightenment and thought to himself: Aren’t those words all saying the same thing?

So I replied:

“Don’t you see: The enlightened person of leisure, free from learning and non-action, does not eliminate delusions nor seek truth.

‘The enlightened person of leisure, free from learning and non-action’ means an awakened one who has understood the true nature of all phenomena, is enlightened to their own mind and nature, and is free from the fear of life and death, delusions, and troubles. They no longer need to pursue external knowledge or realms through learning, but achieve inner purity and freedom through inner realization.

‘Does not eliminate delusions nor seek truth’ further explains the specific manifestation of this state. Delusions are worldly illusions and attachments. ‘Does not seek truth’ means not seeking external truths or realms.

Simply put, true cultivation is not about achieving inner purity through external knowledge or realms, but through inner realization and letting go of attachments. Once cultivation is achieved, there are no more delusions or attachments, and inner purity and freedom are attained. This is all very simple. Wuyou has already simplified it for you, you just don’t know it. Read Wuyou’s books and you will understand. They are all simplified versions of profound knowledge. Hahahaha.”
