Chapter 140: The Daughter Of The Ocean’s Tenderness
Sweet words of honey spilled from His mouth, which had savored the fragrance of wisdom, like sweet divine wine that made the Goddess of Wisdom intoxicated and unwilling to awaken: “My love, how could I not know of your love for me?”
“No matter what you say, how could I bear to let you leave me? How I wish we could merge as one, forever together, forever and ever without separation.”
The purple-haired goddess whimpered, her soft voice full of love: “Zeus~~~”
She pulled Zeus into her embrace, her voluptuous body generously burying him, and in her muffled whimpers filled with urgency, she said: “My love, please possess me. Ever since I had you, I can no longer bear the feeling of being alone.”
Zeus, who originally did as he pleased, now barely struggled free from the emotional Goddess of Wisdom.
He kissed the pretty face of the Goddess of Wisdom, his lips continuously falling on her beautiful eyes, gentle cloud-like brows, elegant nose bridge, and the most delicate and luscious cherry lips.
With great willpower, he finally suppressed the instinct to act as Father God, and whispered in the ear of the limp Goddess of Wisdom: “My love, how I want to possess you right now, to completely merge as one with you, to gestate the most outstanding child with you.”
“Our child will surely possess my power and your wisdom. He will be the most outstanding and lovely child in the world.”
“However, it still needs a little time. I need to handle some matters.”
The Goddess of Wisdom’s thoughts soared into the future with Zeus’s description; her heart had become as soft as her current body, and she had even thought of a name for the child.
She fantasized about a cradle woven from love, nurturing a perfect child with thunder and wisdom.
But hearing Zeus’s last words, she instantly snapped back to reality; a trace of clarity returned to her dazed eyes, and the radiance of wisdom reignited.
She asked doubtfully: “What matters still need handling?”
Zeus’s gaze flickered slightly with guilt. He breathed hot air into Metis’s ear, the warm aura brushing her earlobe, his voice deep: “What we do will be known by Mnemosyne.”
Metis instantly understood.
When it came to Zeus, she was muddled about everything, but when it came to other goddesses, she had sharp judgment no less than the future Queen of Heaven!
Her originally bewildered wisdom instantly restored rationality and clarity. She furrowed her elegant brows, her graceful lips curving into a smile that was not quite a smile, like a rose blooming in the wind—beautiful yet thorny: “Why should His Majesty the God King fear this?”
“The Civilization Memory Goddess, how dare she spy on His Majesty the God King?”
“Moreover, the proper and elegant Goddess of Civilization, how could she peep into the private affairs between lovers?”
Zeus blinked to cover his guilt, changing the subject: “This, maybe not, but, um, this, one must guard against it anyway.”
“Darling, it’s no good if others see our private affairs. Wait until I resolve this issue, then even if you want to escape, I absolutely won’t let you.”
The promiscuous God Lord said this while affectionately caressing his beloved goddess, but the Goddess of Wisdom was not so cooperative this time.
She half-heartedly resisted, her fair slender jade hand gently pressing against Zeus’s chest, seemingly refusing yet actually welcoming as she let Zeus kiss her fair neck.
Zeus never cared about any curse, let alone this time when Cronus didn’t even have the chance to utter one.
He mainly still cared about face(for now). If he got close to other goddesses, it would be like giving Mnemosyne a live broadcast, and a pure, complete, high-definition, uncensored version at that.
Not to mention how embarrassing, who knows what mischief the jealousy-stimulated Civilization Memory Goddess would stir up.
The goddesses here were no background characters, nor cookie-cutter stereotypes; none were easy to handle, each with their own thoughts and tempers, quick to cause trouble at a disagreement.
Many things they could tolerate unseen, but if laid bare before them, they would surely erupt.
If his beloved goddess threw a tantrum out of jealousy, what could he do? The flesh of his palm and back were both meat, both his own wings!
Moreover, there was one most important reason why now was not the right time to devour wisdom.
He needed to wait a bit longer.
As God King, Zeus possessed authority over dominion and was the Great Father God of the Sky; his scheme was now just one final step from success.
Once the final step of the scheme succeeded, He could do it—mating with any goddess to seize her authority.
The first one then would be to deal with Mnemosyne!
I, Zeus! How can I be constantly understood by goddesses in every move!
It greatly affects reproduction of the world!
The wise Metis didn’t believe Zeus’s words; cunning light flickered in her eyes, still with that not-quite smile: “My love, my His Majesty the God King, do you know that the Civilization Memory Goddess looks at you the same way as the Lady of Night?”
“Ah? Does she?” Zeus looked bewildered, pure and innocent, a model of acting prowess.
Metis chuckled with a huff, her soft voice carrying a hint of reproach: “My love, it seems you know that the Lady of Night’s gaze on you is unusual.”
“What? Oh~ my love, what are you saying?” Zeus continued to play dumb.
Metis was quite helpless, charm swirling in her white eyes like spring water, reproachfully saying: “Darling! You’re pretending too poorly!”
Zeus seemed lost in thought, silent.
Metis gave Zeus another charming glance, full of allure that left him dazed.
But his beloved goddess’s next words made His heart panic.
The Goddess of Wisdom’s slender fair jade finger gently brushed Zeus’s cheek, her action tender, sweetly saying: “Fine! Then I’ll go tell them right now that you have no feelings for them!”
“I’ll go demand that Mnemosyne no longer pay attention to you!”
The Goddess of Wisdom moved to rise as she spoke, but was shamelessly pinned down by Zeus, who thick-skinned said: “Darling, doing that would hurt your feelings; it’s completely unnecessary. Seeing your originally close relationship turn sour, I really can’t bear it.”
The gentle Goddess of Wisdom smiled sweetly, her soft hand lightly stroking Zeus’s cheek, her tender gaze full of cunning as she softly said: “No matter, my love. I’ve never been close to them. I think such a warning is very necessary.”
“Uh”
Zeus was speechless.
Seeing Zeus’s troubled expression, ripples of love and sourness silently rose in Metis’s heart like intertwining ocean tides, but ultimately she couldn’t bear her beloved’s embarrassment and took the initiative to press her lips to Zeus’s.
It was a kiss as light as a feather yet containing abyss-deep affection, the tenderness and sigh of the Daughter of the Ocean condensed within.
Her lips were slightly cool, yet carried the secret fragrance from the ocean depths.
Lips parted; she gazed at Him tenderly, her golden eyes of wisdom entwined with deep emotion, her voice profound enough to melt eternal glaciers: “My love, a God King as radiant as you, gathering the radiance of all stars in the universe—how could only I, one star, orbit you, enamored?”
The Goddess of Wisdom’s eyes glowed luminously: “My love, you are so extraordinary and outstanding, so majestic and exceptional; in this boundless world, no other god can match you.”
“All noble goddesses in the universe fall for you; who could resist your glory? Their hearts all follow your radiance.”
“They love you, revere you. I feel only supreme pride for you and could never bear to blame you for it.”
Zeus’s heart was fiercely struck by this sincere deep affection, stirring colossal waves.
Any carefully woven sweet talk paled and became unspeakable before his beloved goddess’s such pure, such transparent true affection.
He could only vent the surging love in his chest with the most primal, direct action.
With arms mighty enough to embrace heaven and earth, He hugged his beloved purple-haired goddess even tighter.
Once more, with a hotter, deeper kiss, He sealed all her unspoken words.
The two supreme gods entwined lovingly, divine light merging, auras intermingling; the drifting clouds atop Mount Olympus existed for Them, the sunlight in the air flowing with honey and golden luster.
At least in this moment, the emotions flowing between them were utterly sincere, the honeyed affection piercing eternal time so pure, so fervent, without a trace of mortal impurity.
The heat of skin against skin ignited flames deep in divinity; the whispers of ears brushing were the soul’s most intimate symphony.
When affection ran deep as the sea, the two hearts became inseparable.
In the depths of divine trembling and palpitation, it was always thus—perfectly united.
Hearts imprinted, indistinguishable; in deepest emotion, the world held only you and I.
When the entwined auras finally parted, the misty air seemed to retain lingering warmth.
The Goddess of Wisdom still nestled in her lover’s embrace, gazing raptly up at her deeply loved God King, at His perfect divine face, forcibly suppressing the waves of inner sourness.
Incredibly gentle words spilled from her lips like freshly bloomed cherry blossoms: “My love, dear Hera has not been in a good mood lately.”
“She seems to want to leave Olympus. I think you should go see her.”
Hearing this, Zeus’s expression flashed with clear astonishment. Before He could speak, the Goddess of Wisdom smiled gently, her smile carrying a heartbreaking tenderness.
Her slender fair fingers, carrying the unique coolness and delicacy of the Daughter of the Ocean, lightly stroked His chiseled handsome face, softly saying: “My love, how could I bear for you to be unhappy? How could I bear to see a trace of worry between your brows?”
“Go quickly, go comfort that noble heart that also deeply loves you. I also need to go entertain Father God and my sisters.”
