Chapter 223: Heartbroken Daughter Of The Ocean
A gentle smile appeared on His face: “Beautiful Clymene, I know what you want to ask. But you don’t need to overthink it, nor worry.”
“Go, go catch up with the Mother Goddess of All Things. Everything you want to know, the Mother Goddess of All Things already knows. Go ask her.”
Clymene slightly lowered her head, her Teeth gently biting her own lip, still hesitating.
She must carefully gauge and consider His Majesty the God King’s mood and true Idea.
Zeus saw her thoughts clearly and couldn’t help but chuckle softly: “What’s wrong? Would I really hold such a small matter against you? Go, but remember to come back quickly.”
“This Divine Palace of mine has truly become orderly since you arrived. Those little girls have also become much more obedient than before.”
“With you here teaching them, they have finally become much more honest. This really makes me feel relieved. This Divine Palace of mine cannot be without you for even a moment now.”
“I’m even worried that in ten thousand years, if you leave here, what a mess this place will become. I’m afraid by then, this place won’t be able to leave you.”
Zeus’s words of gentle Closeness slightly eased Clymene’s Mind.
She smiled, speaking softly: “Your Majesty’s Kindness, Clymene can never repay. As long as Your Majesty is willing, Clymene will forever obey Your Majesty’s Will.”
Zeus chuckled lightly: “Go.”
“Yes.” Clymene bowed deeply, humbly exiting the Divine Palace, then transforming into a streak of Azure water light, hurriedly chasing in the direction the Mother Goddess of All Things had left.
However, the Mother Goddess of All Things was walking far too fast!
The Mother Goddess of All Things could not completely break through Space to return home directly, but she could “short-range” tear open Space, leaping back to Earth.
That Speed had already surpassed light speed by hundreds of times!
In just this short while, she was almost back at Earth’s Divine Palace!
It was unknown what she was exactly afraid of.
In the end, Clymene still failed to catch up.
Until she arrived at that majestic Divine Palace of the Mother Goddess of All Things located upon Earth, Clymene finally saw Gaia.
Gaia was startled upon seeing her.
She thought Zeus was up to some trick again, specially sending Clymene to summon her back.
After Clymene explained her purpose, she finally relaxed.
She then told her everything she had just learned from Zeus, exactly as it was.
Since Zeus had allowed her to come, it must mean he allowed her to tell her.
Moreover, there was nothing among it that could not be said.
Clymene finally learned everything she wanted to know from Gaia.
She also did not doubt Zeus’s words.
For this new God King’s Divine Quality, the Gods generally held Conviction(except in matters related to Goddess).
His credibility was even second only to that absolutely sacred and just Goddess of Justice.
On the road back to Olympus, Clymene’s heart was filled with both Grief and rage.
Of course, her hatred was not directed at Zeus.
The God King had already been sufficiently Tolerance.
She hated Iapetus!
It was her once immensely Reverence and adored husband!
She spent every day in this World trembling in fear.
Every day thinking about how to get her own god out.
Everything she did was for her husband and Child!
It was all for the Iapetus Family!
And the Outcome?!
His Majesty the God King’s vast Bounty was already placed right before Him!
Yet He was still stupidly pledging Allegiance to that detestable old God King, already abandoned by the Era!
Could He not consider His own family at all?!
Could He not consider His own Wife and Child at all?!
Your Child, because of your Stupidity, has already been cast back into Tartarus along with you!
What kind of place is that!
At this moment, Clymene truly hated Iapetus through and through.
She deeply felt that all her Past Effort were so Stupidity, so laughable!
She had even dragged in her Father God immensely noble Face, even making her Father God take the huge Risk of offending the God King!
And the Facts had already offended him.
All that she had paid out, in her husband’s eyes, was it really so unimportant?
Was only His so-called “Faith” and “Loyalty” the most important?
Was it still not enough?!
Was the cost of all this still not enough?!
You have already been cast into Tartarus along with the old God King!
No matter what Kindness, no matter what loyal righteousness, it should all be repaid by now?!
Yet you still insist on dragging your own Child along with you, walking this dead-end road to the very end!
No hope.
No hope at all!
Even if They were rescued, they would sooner or later have to go back in!
This noble Oceanid Goddess grew more Grievance and more Collapse the more she thought.
She could no longer bear this endless Despair as Heavy as the Universe, abruptly turning and Madness rushing toward the distant Ocean.
Regardless, along the way she wept loudly, charging toward the Ocean that had birthed her.
The Oceanid Goddess’s Tears filled with Grievance and utter Collapse poured down like a torrential downpour.
Upon the Earth along the way, they newly formed Lakes, clear yet Grief-stricken.
She directly rushed into the majestic Divine Palace at the deepest part of the Ocean, not caring at all that her Brothers and Sisters were still Inside the Hall.
She directly threw herself into her Mother Goddess Tethys’s embrace, kneeling and prostrating on her Mother’s knee, sobbing bitterly.
Clymene’s Reaction truly startled the Ocean God Couple and all the gods Inside the Hall.
Their daughter had always been so strong and wise, her temperament also immensely resilient; she was always soft on the outside but firm within.
Such a Grievance Collapse appearance was something even They had never seen.
The Ocean God immediately rose in rage!
But after abruptly rising, He realized He still did not know what had happened.
His brows furrowed deeply, and He vigorously waved His hand, first sending all the Children Inside the Hall out.
The Ocean Gods, though full of worry, obediently withdrew for now.
In a moment, only the three of Them remained Inside the Divine Palace.
A Child’s Face must always be protected.
Tethys Goddess tightly embraced her daughter; seeing her daughter like this, her heart ached.
This gentlest and most Loving-kindness Ocean Mother Goddess had already shed Grief-stricken Tears along with her daughter.
In this world, which Mother could watch her beloved Child suffer such unbearable Pain?
“Child… what exactly happened to my child? What’s wrong? What exactly happened?”
“There, there, Mother Goddess is here, your Father God is here too. Don’t cry anymore. No matter what it is, Father God and Mother Goddess are by your side.”
“My child, don’t Crying anymore. Your Tears also make Mother Goddess feel pain that pierces the heart.”
Tethys Goddess’s Tears fell along with her daughter’s, unable to stop.
The Ocean God was now glaring furiously; He forcibly suppressed the Rage in His heart, speaking in a voice barely Gentle, softly comforting: “Clymene, my beloved child, what exactly happened?”
“Father God is right here. No matter what it is, Father God will surely stand up for you!”
“My dear child, please don’t Crying anymore. Look at your Mother Goddess; she is Sadness to the point of despair because of your crying. How could you bear to let your Mother Goddess suffer such Pain as you?”
The Ocean God’s Tone, although already as Gentle as possible, but the entire Ocean had already surged with endless Terrifying waves following His Rage!
Upon the Ocean’s surface, the waves roared like thunder; massive waves nearly overturning Heaven and Earth rose one after another without stop!
Even underwater, dark currents surged, filled with crisis everywhere!
Now the entire Ocean had become the most Terrifying Death domain!
This Loving-kindness old Father God was very accommodating on many matters.
But never Harm His beloved Child!
Though confined to the Ocean by Zeus, in truth, this was hardly any great Punishment.
This Punishment, accurately speaking, should be called “closed door reflection”, hardly counted as Punishment.
Compared to Punishment, what He felt more Guilt about in His heart was failing Zeus’s Trust.
During this Time, He had been deeply reflecting at home.
He had already resolved with Determination that low-level mistakes like Menoetius’s would absolutely never happen again in the future!
In the future, he must be even more Loyalty to His Majesty the God King!
Any matter entrusted by His Majesty must be handled even more carefully! Carefully! More carefully!
These past few days, he had finally held a Feast with his Children, the family happily together.
And then this incident happened!
He truly could not accept it!
In His heart, He was utterly enraged!
Clymene, prostrated on her Mother’s knee, slowly lifted her exquisite head upon hearing the Ocean God’s words.
But she immediately saw her Mother’s tear-streaked, Grief Face.
She thought of her Parents, confined to this home for her, for a full hundred thousand years.
Her heart felt even more unworthy, and even more sorry toward her Parents.
The Tears that had just barely stopped now surged out even more fiercely.
“Mother Goddess! Mother Goddess! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”
Clymene cried even more Sadness.
