Chapter 225: Worried Prometheus
Regarding sentient beings among mortal things, aside from the demigods personally created by the gods and born extraordinary, there were none.
“Demigod” is a realm of life-level, not a specific bloodline and identity.
Referring to divine bloodline and identity are “divine offspring” and “divine descendants.”
The first generation of direct children of gods are called “divine offspring,” regardless of whether they are gods or even just mortal spirits.
“Divine descendants” broadly refers to all descendants possessing divine bloodlines, including first-generation mixed-blood descendants, and mortal spirit descendants of mixed-bloods. As long as they carry divine blood, they are divine descendants.
The first generation of direct children of gods can be called divine offspring or divine descendants, but after the first generation, they can only be called divine descendants.
As for “heroes,” they refer to noble beings who have accomplished extraordinary deeds and pursued immortal glory, not a realm of life-level, nor specifically divine descendants, and not even dependent on strength.
It’s just that if all three of these are absent, it’s generally very difficult to become a hero.
Currently, among beings below the gods, the most numerous are “nymphs.”
“Nymph” is a general term for all fairies, with its original meaning likely being “living souls and vitality of nature,” and a “symbol of youth, fertility, and beauty.”
The vast majority of nymphs are personifications of nature, possessing divinity and divine power. Their upper limit is equivalent to a main god, while their lower limit can be comparable to mortals.
For example, Daughters of the Ocean are also a type of nymph. Many nymphs are gods themselves. Even nymphs who are not gods have a status equivalent to demigods. However, once they become gods, they are generally no longer considered nymphs.
Most fairies govern a certain domain or region, and the difference in the size of their territories is still worlds apart.
Most fairies also die naturally or unnaturally, but under normal circumstances, their lifespans are extremely long.
Indeed, in the current universe, the lowest level of sentient beings is demigods, and they all have inextricable ties to gods.
Below that, they are truly low-level beings with undeveloped intellect, merely low-level life with basic spirituality.
Moreover, apart from gods and fairies, most sentient beings have bizarre appearances, filled with that… well, the free-spirited aesthetic of creation.
Some are spiritual aggregations born by chance, without any careful sculpting by gods, thus appearing more casual.
One can even feel the occasional, unbridled flights of cosmic fancy from their unconstrained limb structures.
There are also some created by gods with mediocre crafting skills out of boredom, so their forms are naturally difficult to describe.
It feels like a cosmic divine “clay sculpture” work, full of commendable creative passion, and artistic achievements that one dare not compliment.
There are also some that survived cosmic calamities ( mainly the war of gods ), by sheer luck, but were also stained by various mottled divine powers and divinity. These are like living, twisted monuments that record the tragic scenes of war.
Others are completely normal, purely due to their divine essence being special, or due to their unusual individual aesthetics.
One can only say, a hundred flowers bloom, colorful and diverse, each with its own absurdity.
These are all normal, after all, when many great gods created common divine body templates, the gods themselves would then freely modify them according to their own preferences and characteristics.
The appearances and forms of gods vary somewhat, let alone other creatures.
However, the daily divine bodies of most gods are generally not vastly different, with simple modifications on a common template.
This is mainly for ease of communication and daily life, which is the so-called “normal divine form.”
The daily divine bodies of most gods, at least for the most part, are of a common form, adhering to the basic structure of a common template.
As the supreme gods of the Origin of the Universe, the aesthetic they collectively shaped is naturally the pinnacle of beauty in this universe.
Normally, all beings in the universe, the higher their life level and the stronger their divinity, the more they will unconsciously gravitate towards this “divine aesthetic.”
Therefore, many beings whose status has risen to divinity will also specifically create a divine body that conforms to the “divine form” for daily use.
Of course, gods also generally make personalized modifications to the common template.
However, when it comes to combat, or divine power, the divine bodies or other forms of existence can differ greatly.
They are truly ever-changing and unique, enough to display the uniqueness and majesty of each god’s laws.
Of course, the ultimate beauty is still the formless, shapeless, yet supremely good and beautiful “Primal Law.”
Especially for the Primal Laws that serve as the foundation of the universe, the grander, more vast, more important, and the more they are at the foundation, the more they flow with ineffable, irresistible, and most primal magnificence and beauty that captivates all things.
Even the few unlucky children born by Lady of Night, after the expansion of Zeus’s Authority, their primal law essence is still extremely beautiful.
After all, the “divine form” is merely a “shell” created by the Mother Goddess of All Things, the Twelve Primal Titans, and Lady of Night, conforming to the collective aesthetic of the gods and convenient for the gods to enjoy the universe.
No matter how beautiful the appearance, it can never compare to the most essential, magnificent beauty of “existence.”
In the current universe, God King Zeus is the ultimate “beauty,” without exception.
His existence itself is the highest manifestation of cosmic order and truth, goodness, and beauty, the center where countless laws converge, and the highest embodiment of supreme, ultimate good, ultimate beauty, ultimate power, and ultimate wisdom!
And besides Zeus and His avatars, the most beautiful are the Mother Goddess of All Things and the Goddess of Night.
In fact, the primal beauty of the Goddess of Night is only slightly inferior to the Mother Goddess of All Things.
Therefore, what Zeus seeks in His unions with other goddesses is not only the beauty of their divine bodies, but also the intermingling, collision, and sublimation of their primal laws.
It is the deepest communication and resonance unfolded at the most profound level of primal laws and divinity.
The intertwining and merging of primal laws is a symphony of existence and existence!
It is a supreme bliss that makes all divinity tremble, transcending all definitions of senses!
It is the ultimate and most extreme supreme joy that is impossible to describe with all languages and writings!
Of course, divine bodies also have their advantages, as they are perfect products created and continuously evolved by the gods.
Any god with decent crafting skills has a divine body that is flawless, without imperfections, with extremely keen senses and boundless energy.
And due to the personalized customization by the gods, each has its own characteristics and beauty!
Moreover, they can be changed at will, or their divine bodies can be arbitrarily optimized, in a word – infinitely marvelous.
However, as of now, the mortal things created by the gods are basically dissimilar to the “divine forms” of the gods.
Any similar forms must at least be divine beings possessing divinity from the start.
There is an essential difference between “gods” and “mortals.”
Given the arrogance of the gods, no god would deliberately create humble mortals who resemble themselves but are fragile and insignificant.
At least not for now.
On the Earth of today, the most prosperous are still plants.
These are the myriad flowers, grasses, and trees meticulously cultivated, evolved, and created by numerous nymphs over endless years.
However, while they adorn the Earth like the most magnificent tapestry, they cannot embroider true souls onto this tapestry.
Secondly, there are low-level beings with weak spirituality, such as birds, beasts, fish, and insects.
The world, adorned by nymphs, is beautiful.
However, this beauty ultimately lacks a “vitality” that can resonate with it.
It lacks that true “prosperity” capable of looking up at the stars and marveling at them.
All sentient beings of higher intelligence are still suffering the silent torment of loneliness due to their vastness.
And Prometheus and his brother, who were entrusted with a great task by the God King and granted the “Authority of Divine Aid,” have also made efforts to create some life during this time.
However, there was nothing special about them.
Although they were slightly more intelligent than existing life and more beautiful in form, they were not fundamentally different from what the gods had created before.
They remain mere foolish and bewildered low-level existences in this empty, silent heaven and earth.
Currently, these two brothers, as sons of the cyclical recycler, have made their greatest contribution by reorganizing the entire world’s food chain, achieving a relatively dynamic balance in the mortal spirit ecosystem of the entire world.
Prometheus, alone, sits quietly on a weather-beaten giant stone, lost in deep thought.
It’s not that he’s contemplating the task Zeus assigned him; bringing prosperity to the universe isn’t urgent, and it can’t be rushed.
After all, His Majesty the God King hasn’t set a deadline, and the lives of gods are endless, so why rush official business?
He is worried about another matter.
Of course, it’s about his own Iapetus family!
Not long ago, he keenly sensed that the “Creation” Authority, bestowed by His Majesty the God King and temporarily usable at full power, had suddenly and inexplicably surged in its immensity.
Furthermore, its essence has been more perfectly integrated into the operation of the entire Heavenly Dao Order.
And most importantly, the process from birth to ultimate demise of all beings in this world, as well as the evolution of interdependence and antagonism among all spirits, has become more harmonious and natural than ever before.
Subsequently, the primal laws of the three Moon Phase Goddesses newly conceived by the God King and the Dominator of Clear Radiance also felt quite familiar.
All these signs point to a terrifying possibility that makes him tremble: His Majesty the God King must have obtained the primal authority of Cronus, the Old God King, and his own father, Iapetus, those four Primal Titans.
His Majesty the God King has indeed obtained the primal authority of Cronus, the Old God King, and his own father, Iapetus, those four Primal Titans.
