Chapter 268: Hephaestus
This Creation Divine Hammer was vastly larger than ordinary stars.
However, the God King merely beckoned, and with the action of the God King withdrawing his divine body, this divine hammer rapidly shrank together with it.
Even after the God King restored his normal divine body, the hammer’s shrinking still did not stop.
It continued until it became small enough to be just right for a child to hold, finally stopping.
The God King spun this now small divine hammer in his palm, leisurely walking into the divine palace.
In just this short time, the newly born Hephaestus had already grown to the size of a three-year-old child, sitting prim and proper inside the divine palace.
He was surrounded by nine beautiful goddesses teasing him in a circle, yet he neither cried nor fussed, warm and reserved.
And the Goddess Hera, who had just given birth, seemed as if nothing had happened, not even a single strand of her hair disheveled.
She too sat dignified on her divine seat, gazing at her beloved child with full loving-kindness.
It could not be said that there was no change at all.
The changes in her inner divinity were still extremely tremendous.
This supreme Great Mother Goddess of Reproduction and Fertility, after truly becoming a mature woman and giving birth to her child today, had all her suppressed and accumulated divine power thoroughly liberated!
That power amounting to one-tenth of the Old God King’s peak might, along with her own vast Great Mother Goddess power, flowed gently within this graceful and elegant delicate body.
Seemingly just an ordinary gentle and soft goddess, in reality, anyone in the entire universe who could survive a slap from her would already count as a notable powerhouse.
And her greatest law origin had also thoroughly bloomed with radiance, the glow of motherhood naturally shining in all directions.
She was even more beautiful.
Or rather, she had truly revealed the true splendor that she had once suppressed and concealed herself.
Truly revealing the world-shaking beauty unique to the future Queen of Heaven.
Zeus merely looked and felt a wave of softness and heat in his heart.
He forcibly suppressed his thoughts for the moment and looked toward his son surrounded by the nine goddesses, nodding very satisfiedly.
This child perfectly inherited his and Hera’s unparalleled beauty.
Although only the size and appearance of a three-year-old child, he was exquisitely carved like jade, handsome and lovely to the extreme; anyone who saw him would genuinely feel fondness.
He had pure gold soft short hair inherited from his parents, as well as those brilliant golden eyes from the same origin.
His gaze was clear and gentle; at such a young age, one could already see extraordinary resilience and warmth in the depths of his eyes.
Undoubtedly, Hestia’s warmth had been thoroughly integrated into this child’s origin through the Fire of Creation.
This child would likely not become an incorrigible philandering god like his Father God in the future.
He would be a great deity capable of warming friends and all spirits.
Seeing Zeus enter the divine palace, the goddesses who had temporarily set aside their grudges due to the child’s birth and were chattering around the newborn discussing child-rearing topics all fell silent at almost the same instant.
The entire divine palace instantly fell quiet.
All gazes turned to Zeus.
And to the seemingly small divine hammer in his hand, which seemed alive, gently coiling and slowly rotating around his palm.
The patterns on the divine hammer resembled fine rain tapping on gold; though small now, not a single deity would think this was truly just an insignificant toy to amuse a child.
Just moments ago, the tremendous commotion outside the divine palace that could shake the entire universe had been felt clearly by all gods inside the hall.
Under the God King’s super-dimensional absolute invincible might, even though he had only forged a divine artifact for his eldest son without intending to press his divine power toward the universe.
Yet, the absolute sense of existence carried by Creation still made all gods in the universe tremble in their divinity out of instinct, stars shuddering, laws resonating and swaying.
Even the Mother Goddess of All Things Gaia deep in the Earth merely cast her gaze toward Zeus’s indescribably majestic God King divine body.
And already felt her eyes stung by endless radiance.
She, who had been extremely low-key recently, became even more resolute in her principle of “can’t afford to provoke, can afford to avoid”!
To stay far away from this overly powerful grandson of hers! Even farther!
This God King was already so formidable; what more could she possibly be needed for?
Not to mention talk of offending her…
Heaven knows what Zeus meant by that so-called “small offense” in relative terms.
Must stay far away!
Hephaestus, this lovely child, upon first seeing his greatest Father God, instantly bloomed with a smile on his exquisitely carved little face.
“Father God!” Saying this, he jumped down from the divine seat, opened his little short legs, and rushed into Zeus’s embrace.
Zeus laughed heartily, thunder showing tenderness in the laughter, arms opening wide to scoop him up high.
“My dear son! Olympus rejoices in your birth; all spirits in the universe will be lucky because of your birth!”
Saying this, he flipped his hand, raising the divine hammer in his palm and offering it to the child with a smile: “This is the gift I give you. Take it; its name is SphyraKtiseos.”
“From today onward, I hope you can use it to bring endless miracles of Creation to the universe, making the entire universe more prosperous and abundant.”
Hephaestus was extremely surprised and delighted, his eyes full of love for this divine artifact.
But he still did not reach out to take it immediately; instead, he first poked out his little head and planted a loud kiss on his Father God’s cheek.
Then, with a voice still tender yet supremely solemn, he replied: “Respected Father God, thank you for your great bestowal. As your son, I will certainly uphold your most sacred Just Order and compassion guidance, exerting all my power to make this universe more prosperous and Tranquility!
Zeus looked at his child, who at such a young age was so serious and proper, and found him all the more adorable.
Hearing him say this, he was even more delighted and gratified, unable to hold back a hearty laugh:
“My son, I never doubt this. It is inevitable.”
Saying this, he placed the divine hammer into the child’s hands.
Hephaestus was after all still a child, with a child’s nature.
Faced with this gift he truly loved from the heart, he too reached out his little hands joyfully to receive it.
But the instant the divine hammer was in hand, it suddenly plunged downward!
His small body was pulled downward by this sudden weight, nearly unable to hold it steady.
This was not because Hephaestus’s power was too small.
Though young, his divine power was absolutely top-tier, possessing unquestionable main god peak-level might.
Ordinary gods and nymphs, he could slap several to death with one swat.
He was the eldest son of God King Zeus and Great Mother Goddess of Reproduction Hera; his origin was the core Creation law of the Old God King Cronus, and it had undergone secondary sublimation by Zeus’s thunder.
Afterward, he had gestated fully one year in Hera’s womb.
He now merely looked like a three-year-old child, but in reality, he was an unquestionable top great god!
Moreover, the kind who could really fight.
After all, how could a god with too little power speak of Creation?
Yet even so, this seemingly small divine hammer, at the very first grasp, he still nearly failed to hold it.
He hurriedly used both hands to barely steady and lift this divine hammer.
Though holding it was somewhat strenuous, there was no displeasure on Hephaestus’s face; instead, it was filled with even more joy.
How could he not know that even he found this divine artifact so strenuous to hold—what terrifying and ineffable might it would possess?
Zeus saw all this in his eyes, even more satisfied in his heart.
Hephaestus struggled to hug this small hammer tightly to his chest, saying once more full of surprise: “Thank you, Father God!”
Zeus laughed heartily, holding him as he sat down, looking around at the beautiful goddesses with varied expressions, and could not help sighing: “My son, look, how lucky you are.”
“At the moment of your birth, so many great and loving-kindness goddesses are taking care of you together. This is top treatment even your Father God I never enjoyed.”
At these words, several goddesses in the hall could not help rolling their eyes at him in unison.
Hera looked at the goddesses around her, her heart melting completely.
She spoke warmly: “My respected sisters, I sincerely thank you for all your care toward me; and even more, thank you for valuing and caring for my child.”
“What more is there to say? Everything is self-evident. In the future, I will repay everyone with the same heart. Thank you, my dear sisters.”
Metis smiled like a flower, her eyes full of loving-kindness as she looked at the child sitting in Zeus’s embrace.
Her jade hand unconsciously gently stroked her flat little abdomen.
There, the God King’s second son was also about to be born.
She said softly: “Dear Hera, my beloved, my sister. Our hearts will forever rely on and accompany each other.”
“Because we share an eternal and unchanging, same beloved. We are one family of gods. And one family of gods should be this way.”
“I believe that no matter which one of us it was, everyone would be as close and supportive as today.”
Hestia’s smile was warm like hearth fire.
She looked at Hera, then at the surrounding goddesses, and said softly: “We are all close friends. Because of Zeus, we are an even dearer family of gods.”
“The happiness and Tranquility of one family of gods is the most important thing. And only by loving each other closely can true happiness and Tranquility be obtained.”
“We all came together from that brutal and dark era. Now, we have arrived in this era belonging to Zeus, filled with Justice and Mercy.”
“We have obtained everything we once dreamed of. What more is worth damaging each other’s emotions to strive for?”
