Chapter 64: Wielding Swords Together, Killing Demons
A raging fire soared straight into the sky.
Ming Zhaoshuang controlled her sword, holding A Wei in one arm and holding Qin Zhi’s hand, as she led He Qingqing into Shuangyu Village.
Meanwhile, Fei Changxiu and others had found Zhang Yaozong and his son Zhang Yaozu, and to everyone’s surprise, in order to show respect for the old and love for the young, they didn’t deliver fatal blows to the elder and the child. It was incredible that the demon Zhang Yaozong still had all his limbs intact.
“Mom! Mom!”
As soon as Zhang Yaozu saw Qin Zhi, he shouted at her, “Mom! Please save me! I don’t want to die!”
Zhang Yaozong had said that Qin Zhi had become mentally unstable searching for her younger sister, who was fed to wolves. From this, it could be seen that although she hated Zhang Yaozong, she still had maternal love for her child.
Zhang Yaozu could now only place his hope on his mother.
The villagers of Shuangyu Village naturally saw Qin Zhi as well, and in an instant, they understood. They pointed at Zhang Yaozu and began to curse:
“Immortal! Zhang Yaozu is a son of a dog! He even… he even got into his mother’s bed!”
Gazing intently, the villagers of Shuangyu Village were all filled with righteous indignation. As if they were righteous individuals speaking up for Qin Zhi, they coincidentally stripped away Zhang Yaozu’s last shred of dignity.
They can’t live, so why should Zhang Yaozu be able to live?
Even if we go to hell, we’ll go together!
Qin Zhi was clearly startled by Zhang Yaozu. She took a step back, almost falling off the Fushuang Sword.
Ming Zhaoshuang, with quick reflexes, grabbed Qin Zhi and brought her to the ground.
“I’m not your mother! I’m not your mother! Get lost! Get out!”
But Qin Zhi’s emotions, which had finally stabilized, instantly collapsed again. She screamed and ran backward, her previously neat dress becoming dirty once more.
A Wei trotted over and grabbed Qin Zhi, muttering softly:
“Mom, I’m here, I’m here. He’s not my older brother, not your child.”
Under A Wei’s comfort, Qin Zhi’s emotions gradually subsided, but she still dared not get too close to these villagers.
Ming Zhaoshuang sighed and noticed that Wei Jiao’s state was also not right.
She was trembling, especially when she saw these villagers, shaking uncontrollably.
Ming Zhaoshuang summoned Fushuang and placed it in Wei Jiao’s hand. Her hand tightly enveloped Wei Jiao’s, and together they held the sword and looked towards the villagers.
“Jiaojiao, tell me, who tormented you.”
Wei Jiao was trembling, and tears streamed down her face.
She bit her lip, trying hard to cry more softly, and pointed at a pair of brothers:
“It, it was them… those two.”
Several people were secretly shocked, thinking that Wei Jiao had been bullied and oppressed by two men simultaneously.
Ming Chenxing, with a stern face, brought the pair of brothers before Wei Jiao.
One of the brothers had lost a hand and a leg, and the other had lost both legs. As they were brought forward, blood was still gushing out, mixing with the soil, looking utterly tragic.
Wei Jiao’s legs went weak, and she almost fell to the ground. Ming Zhaoshuang stood behind her and supported her.
She and Wei Jiao shared one sword, thrusting Fushuang into one of the men’s chests.
Wei Jiao, lacking strength, couldn’t push it in. After several attempts, the man truly breathed his last.
As he died, his eyes were still wide open, as if he had died with unclosed eyes.
He probably never imagined that the young girl he had abused would personally end his life.
The other man, with a terrified gaze, yelled and screamed, supporting himself with his remaining hands as he crawled backward, but Fei Changxiu kicked him:
“Behave yourself, Grandpa Fei!”
Ji Qi, impatient, directly cut off the man’s tongue: “Don’t make noise!”
Blood poured down, yet silence reigned all around.
All the villagers were in fear, afraid they would suffer the same fate.
Wei Jiao’s tears fell onto the edge of the Fushuang sword, mingling with the blood on it.
This time, she did not hesitate and proactively approached the other man with the sword.
She held the sword with both hands and fiercely stabbed it into the man’s neck, piercing through until his blood splattered all over her face. Only then did she release her grip and collapse on the ground.
Wei Jiao stammered:
“I’m sorry, I was afraid… I was afraid my strength was too little and he wouldn’t die, so I, I stabbed his neck.”
Ming Zhaoshuang reached out and wiped the blood from her face.
“You did very well, Jiaojiao.”
She said gently, “You are the bravest woman I have ever seen.”
After calming Wei Jiao, Ming Zhaoshuang raised her sword again and looked at the young women, who were like trapped beasts, her voice clear and loud:
“If any of you wish to take revenge with your own hands like Wei Jiao, and if you dare not, we will kill these animals for you.”
A young woman tremblingly stepped forward and pointed out the demon who had tormented her.
The demon cursed loudly, but before he could say two words, Ming Chenxing cut out his tongue.
Ming Zhaoshuang handed the Fushuang Sword to this young woman, held her hand, and personally ended the demon.
Another young woman stood up, picked up the sword, and slew the demon.
One, two, three… the young women one after another stood up, their hands overlapping with Ming Zhaoshuang’s, raising their swords to slay the demons.
Suddenly, at the thirteenth one, the young woman said:
“Can I hold the sword by myself?”
She was still very scared, but her voice was so firm, so unbreakable.
“Of course.”
Ming Zhaoshuang smiled and handed Fushuang to her, stepping back a few paces to give her space.
The young woman took a few deep breaths. Her body trembled, but her hand was steady, incredibly steady, as she thrust the sword into the demon’s heart.
She pulled out the sword, handed it to Ming Zhaoshuang, and said to everyone present:
“Thank you.”
Following that, one girl after another stood up. The entrance to Shuangyu Village was thus filled with severed limbs and remains, with blood-soaked earth.
Suddenly, one young woman spoke, “The person who tormented me is not among these people.”
“He… is very old, very old.”
Ming Zhaoshuang immediately took her to where the elders and children were and eventually found the old man.
The man was approximately over seventy years old, with a forehead covered in wrinkles and loose limbs. No one could have guessed that such an elder would bully a young girl of sixteen.
Fei Changxiu sneered, “Old geezer, you sure have a wide range of tastes.”
Ming Chenxing frowned, “Shut up.”
Fei Changxiu suddenly realized that his jest might have been an unbearable torment for that young woman.
He pursed his lips for a moment and, seeing that the young woman hadn’t noticed what he said, he breathed a sigh of relief.
He couldn’t speak carelessly like that again, Fei Changxiu thought.
Once the old man was pointed out, he immediately started shouting:
“No, I’m not the only one in the village who touched girls… Zhang Changzong, Zhang Xiaozu, Zhang Changfu… them! Why didn’t they touch anyone! They even went into their own sons’ rooms to get things!”
The elder Zhang Changzong, who was named, cursed again, “Damn you Zhang Xiaogui, what nonsense are you spewing!”
Zhang Xiaozu also cursed, “Son of a bitch Zhang Xiaogui! What do I owe you? How many times a year do I do it, how many times a year do you!”
Zhang Changfu stood up and pointed at Zhang Changzong, roaring:
“Damn it Zhang Changzong, what are you talking about! I’m over sixty, what girls am I touching!”
For a moment, this group of elders started arguing amongst themselves, with profanity and obscenities filling the air.
Nearly ten more elders’ names were even revealed.
Truly a dance of demons.
Seeing the young woman’s expression change, several people immediately drew their swords and cut off the tongues of all these elders.
“Can you… can you help me?”
The young woman softly said to Ming Zhaoshuang, “I’m so scared, I can’t lift the sword… Am I incredibly useless, I’m really so scared…”
As she spoke, the young woman began to cry again.
“Who says you’re useless. Not at all.”
Ming Zhaoshuang said, “Good girl, you just need to touch this sword. I will help you lift it, and I will help you kill him.”
Saying this, Ming Zhaoshuang tightly gripped the girl’s hand and Fushuang, and with one sword strike, severed Zhang Changzong’s head.
Blood splattered everywhere, but not a drop landed on the young woman.
