Chapter 1: Reborn In Konoha, But Named Uzumaki Menma
“Hahaha! Fake! It’s all fake!”
“There is no Uchiha Madara in this world! No Sage of Six Paths! And certainly no Kaguya Otsutsuki!”
Under the scarlet blood moon, during the Fourth Great Ninja War, at the center of the battlefield, Uzumaki Menma, surrounded by the eighty-thousand-strong Shinobi Alliance, stood atop the black Nine-Tails and laughed maniacally.
The many strong practitioners of the Ninja World below had grave expressions; over these two years, they had grown accustomed to this madman who kept saying “this world is all fake.”
After the maniacal laughter, Uzumaki Menma removed the White Three-Eyed Fox Mask from his face, feeling the faint movements from the transplanted Sharingan and the sense of rejection from the world.
Fifteen years had passed since he crossed over to this world.
As a traverser, he originally thought he was Naruto Uzumaki, but unexpectedly he was Uzumaki Menma, and his parents Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki were both alive, letting Menma know that the world he was in was merely a false Limited Tsukuyomi World.
In order to find a way to leave, over these dozen-plus years he continuously grew stronger, collecting various bloodline limits and secret techniques, even transplanting a pair of Three-Tomoe Sharingan for himself, and subduing the black Nine-Tails, becoming a Super Kage Level strong practitioner.
But no matter how he searched, in this world he could not find any traces or legends of Uchiha Madara, the Sage of Six Paths, or Kaguya Otsutsuki.
Thus, Uzumaki Menma fired off a Great Spiraling Ring at each of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, igniting the Fourth Great Ninja War.
The Five Great Shinobi Villages assembled an eighty-thousand-strong Shinobi Alliance, and Uzumaki Menma took the opportunity to reveal the truth of this world.
No matter how many of the eighty thousand shinobi would believe it, this false world had already begun to reject him.
Feeling the rejection from the Limited Tsukuyomi World growing stronger, Uzumaki Menma looked with joyful surprise at the white glow rising from his body.
He was about to leave this world.
He just didn’t know at which point in time the world he awoke to would be—some time point in the Hokage world, or perhaps already the Infinite Tsukuyomi in the late stages of the Fourth Great Ninja War.
“This is my farewell gift to this world.” Uzumaki Menma’s right hand gathered a dark purple energy orb, with high-density dark attribute chakra at the center, surrounded externally by a ring of Wind Release Chakra forming a starry ring around it.
As the Spiral Ring landed, white light shot into the sky, and a massive explosion devoured most of the battlefield and over ten thousand shinobi!
Uzumaki Menma also vanished into the white light along with it.
————————
Konoha 51, October 10th, night.
In a forest outside Konohagakure, inside a secret delivery room covered in barriers, Uzumaki Menma slowly opened his eyes.
“As expected of the Yellow Flash.”
“But what are you going to do next?”
A voice rang out from very close by.
Uzumaki Menma widened his eyes and saw the Tiger Masked Man holding him in his arms.
He slightly turned his head and saw Minato Namikaze holding a blond infant in his arms.
“Minato!” On the bed not far away, Kushina Uzumaki wailed in pain.
“Night of the Nine-Tails?”
“Wait, Minato Namikaze is holding Naruto, so who am I?”
Before he could think further, the explosive tag left by the masked man detonated, blasting Minato Namikaze out of the room.
In that instant of the explosion, Obito Uchiha took Menma and Kushina into the Kamui Dimension.
“Menma!” Inside the Kamui Dimension, Kushina struggled to get up but was too weak from just having given birth.
Obito Uchiha, wearing the Tiger Mask, swung out two kunai attached with iron chains, binding Kushina in place.
Then, he looked down at the infant in his hand.
“Not crying or fussing, huh.” Obito Uchiha suddenly felt that just killing this infant like this would be pretty boring.
One bag of rice carries several floors!
He wanted Teacher Minato to feel the pain of losing loved ones!
Raise this child into a villain, then have him destroy Konoha?
That was actually a pretty good idea.
Imagining over a dozen years later, the Fourth Hokage’s two sons turning on each other, the corners of Obito Uchiha’s mouth under the Tiger Mask couldn’t help but curl up slightly.
“But raising him by my side for over a dozen years is still too slow.”
Obito didn’t want to play house with a little kid.
Thus, after glancing at Master’s Wife Kushina, Obito Uchiha’s body began to be swallowed by Kamui.
When he reappeared, he was already at the orphanage on the outer perimeter of Konoha Village.
“Menma?” Obito Uchiha looked at the infant staring at him with a pair of bright blue eyes, recalling the name Master’s Wife Kushina had called out earlier.
Leaving a Kamui coordinate on Menma’s body, and writing Menma’s name on a piece of paper, Obito Uchiha placed the swaddled Menma at the orphanage door.
Obito Uchiha was confident that tonight he wouldn’t let Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki live to see tomorrow.
“Ten years from now, I’ll come find you.”
With that, Obito Uchiha vanished into the Kamui Dimension.
“Wait, at least knock on the door for me!” Watching Obito just leave like that, leaving him at the orphanage door in the cold wind, Menma felt a bit broken.
The cold night wind blew harshly on his face, but he was just a newborn infant with no mobility, no chakra in his body at all; he could only move his mouth and wail loudly.
Boom!
In the distant Konohagakure, a massive Nine-Tails Fox Demon was summoned and began wreaking massive destruction.
In an instant, the entire Konohagakure was alarmed; many ordinary people awakened from sleep frantically fled to shelters inside the village, while the shinobi rushed to the front lines, trying to stop this Nine-Tails Fox Demon.
“Director, why is it so noisy outside? Did something happen in the village?” A childish voice rang out at the orphanage door.
Creak—
The door opened, and Nono Yakushi, dressed in a black-and-white nun outfit, came out leading a gray-haired little boy.
“Ah!” Seeing the crying infant on the ground at the door, Nono Yakushi hurriedly picked him up.
“An abandoned baby?” Kabuto Yakushi walked up from behind, looking at the infant who had stopped crying in the director’s arms, and glanced around.
Nono Yakushi checked the swaddling clothes and found a crumpled note.
“Menma… is that his name?” Nono Yakushi murmured softly.
In the direction of Konohagakure, a massive dark shadow loomed faintly in the night, its terrifying pressure felt from afar.
Seeing those nine tails, Nono Yakushi, who had participated in multiple wars and spied intelligence in various ninja villages, already guessed it was likely a jinchūriki losing control.
She hurriedly had Kabuto Yakushi gather the orphanage children and prepared to take them to the nearest emergency shelter.
It wasn’t until the next day, after Nono Yakushi had settled the children and gone to the village to gather supplies, that she saw the severely damaged village and the villagers grieving and in pain over lost loved ones.
After much inquiring, she learned of the Nine-Tails Attack from last night and the news of the Fourth Hokage couple’s deaths.
