Chapter 284: Separate, Let Us Grow Slowly ③

As soon as Li Kai saw Nie Aifang bring Nie Qiu, his eyes instantly turned cold. He quickly put away the mobile phone he was using to take pictures of the school’s three buildings and put it into his purse. He ran over, “Nie Qiu, you’re here. Come, follow me. It’s almost time for our class to take graduation photos.”

Nie Qiu looked at Nie Aifang, and Nie Aifang nodded at Nie Qiu.

Seeing Nie Aifang nod, Li Kai smiled, took Nie Qiu’s hand, and ran towards the podium on the sports field where the flag raising ceremony was held.

The classmates were already lined up. Sitting on the ground were some shorter girls, followed by the subject teachers sitting on stools. The homeroom teacher sat in the middle of the subject teachers with the principal and several directors.

Seeing Li Kai pull Nie Qiu over, all the boys and girls walked down from the steps of the podium and began to surround Nie Qiu, asking her questions.

“Nie Qiu, are you feeling better? Does any part of your body hurt?” The plump Zhao Bao Cui squeezed to the front and asked anxiously, holding Nie Qiu’s hand.

“I don’t hurt anymore, thank you all for your concern,” Nie Qiu said with a smile, shaking her head. “Everyone go line up for photos! I need to line up too.”

Teacher Yang also stood up from his chair when he saw Nie Qiu. The classmates surrounding Nie Qiu consciously made way for Teacher Yang. Teacher Yang walked up to Nie Qiu, opened his mouth several times, and then finally said, “You’re here?”

“Yes, I’m here,” Nie Qiu smiled. Teacher Yang’s concerned and worried expression moved her greatly. “Teacher, let’s go take photos!”

Teacher Yang nodded and waved to the classmates surrounding Nie Qiu. “Everyone line up according to the formation we had earlier. The taller ones stand on the highest step, and so on, with the shorter ones squatting in the first row.”

As soon as Teacher Yang said this, the classmates surrounding Nie Qiu went to line up. Since they had already formed ranks, even though it was noisy, they were all lined up in a short while.

Nie Qiu was a bit taller than girls her age. Girls her age were usually between 1.5 to 1.6 meters, while Nie Qiu was already 1.63 meters. Because of this, Li Kai pulled her to stand in the middle of the back row. Peng Yu Yang stood on Nie Qiu’s other side, and to Li Kai’s right was Nie Qiu, while to his left were Luo Xu and Wang Chao Lei. Nie Qiu was the only girl in the entire row of boys. Zhang Hai Yang was a bit short and stood in front of Li Kai, and Huang Yan stood in front of Zhang Hai Yang.

Lining up took quite some time, but after they were in formation, the photos were taken with a few “clicks.”

After taking the graduation photos, the classmates returned to their classrooms. The homeroom teacher was going to talk about matters concerning the Senior High School Entrance Examination, and also give advice to the students to either relax or cram. Of course, they would also say some sentimental things, after all… after the exam, everyone would go their separate ways.

After Teacher Yang finished speaking, he asked Nie Qiu to go to the office and then left the classroom. All the classmates in the class instantly became excited. Many students took out their mobile phones and started taking photos with each other. Whether they liked someone before or disliked them, it all seemed unimportant at this moment.

Nie Qiu’s right hand was still bandaged with gauze because she had squeezed the broken glass hard in an attempt to stay conscious. She had superficial wounds elsewhere, but her middle finger had injured the tendons and bones. The doctor said she couldn’t take the exam, meaning she couldn’t participate in the exam.

When she arrived at the office, there were no other teachers there yet. They were probably either taking photos with students or giving encouraging speeches in their important class groups.
