“Nie Qiu.” Dao hopped to Nie Qiu’s feet and rubbed against her ankle.
Nie Qiu squatted down, picked up the white and fluffy Dao, and then sat on the ground, lying down. “Dao, I went to find Zhang Qitian.” Nie Qiu didn’t wear the necklace because it had broken and hadn’t been repaired, so she kept it at home for safety.

Nie Qiu was stunned. She touched her face and found a scratch. She felt the ointment she had just applied. Her body injuries would heal with daily medication and were not visible because she was wearing clothes, but the scratch on her face was very obvious and not easy to heal. She said a little embarrassed, “I was scratched by someone, it’s nothing.”
“How can it be nothing? If your face scars, you’ll be disfigured. How can a girl be disfigured?” Dao looked at the shiny reflection on Nie Qiu’s wound and asked, “What are you applying?”

“Upstream?”
“It’s where you first entered this space. There’s a waterfall there. The pool under the waterfall, Nie Qiu, the water there has miraculous effects,” Dao said.
Nie Qiu, half-believing, followed Dao, who was hopping upstream.
