Chapter 78: Now You’re The Older Brother
In the second floor room of the villa, four people gathered around the bed, looking at the humanoid object covered head to toe in bandages like a rice dumpling, with one leg suspended.
Among them, a middle-aged man dressed in a shirt and suit pants, sporting a small mustache and exuding an air of nobility, stood with hands behind his back, his face grim, while the beautiful woman beside him shed tears.
Behind them, a fat man wore a purple suit with a slicked-back hairstyle, his face full of menace, and a thin man dressed in a gray suit, looking like a vice president.
The thin man spoke up: “Older Brother, the doctor said there’s no major issue; with some more rest, he’ll be fully recovered.”
“Of course he’ll be fully recovered.”
The fat man snorted coldly, “We’ve spent so much money and bought so many medicines; if he doesn’t recover fully, I’ll bury the attending doctor in cement.”
Hearing this, the man with the small mustache frowned and said, “Enough. How old are you to still talk about killing? Watch your words to avoid attracting demonic creatures.”
“My son has been beaten like this, and you’re talking about demonic creatures.”
The beautiful woman sobbed, “It was just normal sparring; how could they beat him so brutally? They went too far.”
The man with the small mustache glanced at Xiang Feipeng, who was wrapped in bandages, and said irritably:
“Brutal? When he was bullying people at No. 14 Middle School, why didn’t you call it brutal? Luckily it was at No. 14 Middle School; if he’d been placed in Wuyu, with Feipeng’s weird temperament, he would’ve been crippled long ago.”
“There’s always a bigger fish; don’t be so high-profile. Consider this a lesson!”
At these words, the beautiful woman sobbed even harder. “But I heard that Feipeng was dragged around like a dog at school— so humiliating!”
Seeing this, a trace of helplessness appeared in the man with the small mustache’s eyes, and his tone softened. “Alright, taking a lesson is one thing, but beating my son Xiang Tian is another matter, Third Brother.”
With that, the thin man in the gray suit stepped forward and said, “Older Brother, Sister-in-law, we’ve identified the person. No. 14 Middle School tried to cover it up, but how could they block us? It’s a kid named Li Ye, now in Four Dragon Gates, with some talent. He’s probably on the breakthrough route.”
“Hmph, breakthrough route. Gets a bit of martial power and acts all arrogant. Older Brother, leave this to me.”
The fat man grinned ferociously: “I’ll make him understand what true cruelty in reality is!”
“Mm.”
The man with the small mustache nodded, about to speak, when suddenly the room door was knocked on, and an elderly person dressed as a nanny entered, bowing and saying:
“Master, Madam… the security guard at the gate called. There’s a Li Ye, a classmate of Young Master, who wants to visit.”
“He remembers to come now?”
The fat man sneered: “Too late!”
“Second Brother, let him in.”
The thin man smiled: “A student coming to visit at this time must know a bit about Older Brother’s background. Whether it’s courage or something else, we should at least meet him.”
“Tell him to get over here!”
The beautiful woman snapped: “Right now, I want him to end up ten times worse off than Peng’er!”
“Sister-in-law, rest assured!”
The fat man patted his chest, then looked at the man with the small mustache. “Older Brother, should we disperse his qi and blood?”
The man with the small mustache shook his head: “Forget it. Practicing martial arts is not easy, and the situation lately is special. Low-key— just crush all the bones in his body.”
“Understood!”
The fat man grinned ferociously, looking at the rice dumpling on the bed. “Peng’er, your Second Uncle will avenge you today. I’ll shatter his bones and leave him lying like a dead dog in front of you!”
“Second Brother, better to play it safe. At this age with that level of martial power, his talent is impressive. Maybe we can cultivate him ourselves.”
The thin man chuckled: “So, just give him a good scare.”
Boom!
No sooner had the words fallen than a loud explosion came from below, followed by a vigorous youthful voice ringing out.
The fat man couldn’t even make out exactly what was said, only hearing someone shout his Older Brother’s name, and with that sound, it was clearly bad news; veins bulged at his temple.
“Courting death!”
He roared furiously and charged straight through the room door, leaping down from above.
The thin man shook his head regretfully. “Young and hot-blooded— such a pity for that talent. Older Brother, no need to keep him now.”
Xiang Tian nodded faintly, saying nothing more.
Below the crashed-open room door was the hall, where the roar of his second brother could be heard, along with the crisp sound of bones breaking, but it didn’t last long before the roar stopped, and the hall below fell silent.
Xiang Tian waited a good while, then looked at the thin man.
The thin man immediately smiled: “I’ll go take a look, lest Second Brother actually kills him.”
He walked out the crashed-open room door to the corridor and peered down, then staggered back three steps with a pale face, exclaiming in shock: “Second Brother!”
Whoosh!
No sooner had he spoken than Xiang Tian moved, riding a gust of wind as his figure swiftly passed the thin man, reaching the corridor railing. Looking down, he saw two people in Disinfection Bureau uniforms in the hall.
The one in the back was timid, holding a long sword but posing no threat, but the one in front…
Wearing gloves with finger backs fitted with steel armor, one was now pressed atop his good second brother’s head. His second brother’s arms hung limply, his chest caved in deeply, his calf clearly shattered, kneeling on the ground.
Most horrifying was that his head and chest cavity were almost tightly connected, embedded halfway down. As Xiang Tian watched, it collapsed downward, utterly lifeless.
“You’re Xiang Tian, right?”
Li Ye looked up, grinning toothily at him: “Giving a show of force right away to your son’s classmate isn’t good hospitality. And for case-handling personnel, that’s even more unacceptable. I’m here on official business; you should…”
“Come down!!”
Li Ye roared fiercely, the sound wave like thunder, shaking the hall visibly. The chandelier overhead shattered directly under the sonic impact, exploding into shards like flying swords, and the corridor railing where Xiang Tian stood was blasted open by the roar.
As the railing shattered, Xiang Tian flashed into the air, arms spread like an eagle leaping mid-air, charging straight at Li Ye.
The thin man earlier leaped several steps, reaching the weapon rack near the corridor, grabbing a spear, stepping on the railing edge, and jumping down, spinning the spear into a whirlwind as he descended.
With qi and blood surging, it surprisingly flickered nine times.
Nine Dragon Gate!
Clang!
When the spear tip struck in the hall with a crisp ring, friction sparked a fire spark, swinging the thin man’s body forward. After landing, he danced it left and right, rapidly closing in, then thrust out, trailing starlight, probing straight for Li Ye’s throat from the side.
“Star Shatter!!”
As the spear tip neared his throat, Xiang Tian above had arrived. His body spun, flipping upside down, fingers like claws tearing straight at Li Ye’s head.
Crack!
But the thrusting spear tip was suddenly bitten by Li Ye lowering his head; his white teeth clamped the tip hard, curling his lips at the thin man.
Snap!
The fine iron spear tip shattered into fragments under Li Ye’s teeth. At the same time, his hands thrust forward, gloved hands forming hooks, seizing Xiang Tian’s incoming hands, then spitting upward.
The spear tip fragments in his mouth burst like shotgun blast into Xiang Tian’s chest and abdomen, punching several holes.
Xiang Tian grunted dully, his figure inexplicably rippling with qi force, hands slipping strangely from Li Ye’s grasp, gliding backward like a bird riding the wind.
Sizzle!!
But at that moment, white qi like dragon whiskers shot from Li Ye’s nostrils, his body erupting with thunder sound even greater than the previous sonic wave, like flipping a switch, unleashing explosive power.
Gate open!
Thud!
A qi ring rippled from his feet like a cannon firing, propelling him straight upward. He grabbed Xiang Tian’s ankle, grinning ferociously amid Xiang Tian’s increasingly horrified gaze.
“Smash for me!!”
Boom!!
Li Ye yanked Xiang Tian’s leg, slamming him heavily downward, carrying his body crashing down.
Bang!
Bang!!
Bang!!!
That body was flung by Li Ye like a rag doll, repeatedly smashed into the ground, each impact heavier, shaking the entire villa.
The floor cracked open, dented in, gravel splashing, shooting into surrounding walls and railings, even grazing the thin man’s cheek, drawing a line of blood.
This jolted him alert. Staring at Li Ye relentlessly smashing Xiang Tian down, his knees inexplicably buckled, and he knelt, pleading:
“Officer, Officer! Any more and he’ll be dead! Officer!”
Boom!!!
Even as he spoke, Xiang Tian, who had been swung up and down, was smashed heavily into the dent, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Click.
Amid the dust cloud, inexplicably came the sound of a lighter igniting.
A spark appeared in the dust, dispersing it.
Li Ye lit a cigarette, blowing out a puff of smoke. He walked to Xiang Tian, whose body only twitched instinctively, kicked him twice, then looked at the thin man. “And who are you?”
“I’m Song Zhengyu, Third Brother of Fei Peng Gang. Xiang Tian is my Older Brother, I…”
“A-Tian!!”
As Song Zhengyu spoke, a shrill cry rang from above. The beautiful woman appeared on the second floor, staring incredulously at Xiang Tian in the ground hole, then at Li Ye.
“Who are you? No, no matter who you are! You’re dead! Your whole family is dead! I swear…”
Bang!
Li Ye drew the Desert Eagle from his waist and fired a shot, the powerful bullet blowing off half her skull, sending her tumbling to the ground.
Song Zhengyu froze in shock, still processing, when he saw this uniformed young killer of a man aim the gun barrel at his Older Brother below.
Bang bang bang!
Close-range shots with powerful bullets— his unconscious Older Brother was solidly hit.
Three shots in a row: two to the chest, one to the head.
Piercing through both chest sides and skull, deader than dead.
Li Ye grinned toothily at Song Zhengyu. “Now you’re the Older Brother.”
