Chapter 113: Great Battle With Red Boy
However, Ao Tu fought Manjushri alone, battled True Warrior Emperor, and challenged the various gods.
The Green Lion under Manjushri Bodhisattva opened its giant mouth, with sharp teeth bared, and bit toward Ao Tu, biting straight onto Ao Tu’s leg.
However, Ao Tu’s leg was like divine iron, unable to be bitten through.
Ao Tu reached back and grabbed the Green Lion’s mane, smashing a fierce punch, caving in the Green Lion’s skull.
Manjushri Bodhisattva raised her hand and threw the Demon Binding Rope onto Ao Tu, but Ao Tu shook his wings and directly escaped from the Demon Binding Rope.
Seeing this, Manjushri Bodhisattva held her sword and came to chop Ao Tu, but Ao Tu swept with his spine, freezing that Precious Sword.
Manjushri Bodhisattva was unafraid, abandoned the Precious Sword, and manifested her eight-armed golden body, one hand holding the wisdom mudra, one hand holding the demon-subduing mudra, the remaining arms holding Demon Subduing Pestle, bell, Dharma Wheel, flower garland, treasure banner, and Treasure Bottle, striking toward Ao Tu.
Ao Tu grinned ferociously with his sharp fangs, charged straight ahead, enduring Manjushri Bodhisattva’s attacks, and struck wildly with hands and feet.
A Lotus Platform appeared under Manjushri Bodhisattva, with Buddha’s Light shining brilliantly, blocking Ao Tu’s attacks, as all eight golden arms struck Ao Tu’s body.
The Demon Subduing Pestle smashed onto Ao Tu, creating pits, flesh collapsing; the Dharma Wheel sliced open the flesh, muscles tearing, blood flowing; the treasure bell shook the mind, with waves of Sanskrit chants, causing unbearable headache; the Treasure Bottle manifested Buddha’s Light, shining on the body, melting flesh and blood…
Ao Tu gritted his teeth, his three eyes glaring fiercely, grinning viciously from his mouth, relying purely on his body to withstand it, opening his mouth to spit out Hurricane, humming out Divine Thunder, coughing out Lightning, using hands and feet together, randomly unleashing water, fire, wood, metal, earth.
Manjushri Bodhisattva was disdainful: a demon is just a demon. With the Lotus Platform’s Buddha’s Light protecting her body, no matter how the demon attacked, she remained unmoved. In contrast, the demon was using his body to endure head-on—how long could he last?
After one hour passed, the demon was covered in blood, beaten full of pits, flesh churning, tendons exposed, white bones showing.
However, the demon continued his fierce assault without pausing for a moment.
The Lotus Platform under Manjushri Bodhisattva had dimming Buddha’s Light, as if about to be broken by the demon.
Manjushri Bodhisattva grew somewhat anxious and said, “Great Bodhisattva Guanyin!”
Guanyin Bodhisattva heard and dropped the Jade Pure Bottle, using Buddha’s Light to bind Ao Tu.
True Warrior Emperor also could not stay idle forever; he rode the Heavenly Horse to catch up, holding his sword to slash at Ao Tu.
The Jade Pure Bottle’s Buddha’s Light bound Ao Tu, and True Warrior Emperor’s Precious Sword pierced into Ao Tu’s right chest.
Seeing this, Manjushri Bodhisattva withdrew, cast a spell to release the Dragon Subduing Pile on Red Boy, and turned to bind it onto Ao Tu.
What Ao Tu had been waiting for was precisely this moment; the twelve powers in his body instantly converged together.
The twelve powers were all different; normally, Ao Tu absolutely would not dare do this.
But at this time, Ao Tu faced death either way.
Better to test the move on Manjushri Bodhisattva and incidentally save Red Boy.
No other reason—this child was quite to his liking.
Ao Tu forcibly converged the twelve powers together.
An extremely powerful force appeared; Ao Tu’s heart beat violently, blue veins bulging all over his body, his body size uncontrollably enlarging.
This was not good; the body enlarging was because this power was too strong—strong enough that Ao Tu himself could not control it, so his body instinctively enlarged to disperse the power.
Otherwise, Ao Tu would explode and die.
However, Ao Tu forcibly went against instinct, suppressed the enlarging body, and reverted his body size to original.
The violent power caused blood to flow from Ao Tu’s entire body, his flesh swelling open.
Wukong, Nezha, and Guanyin Bodhisattva instinctively sensed something wrong and retreated together.
Ao Tu’s power reached a critical point; he fiercely broke free of the Jade Pure Bottle’s Buddha’s Light binding, clamped down tightly on Great Emperor Zhenwu’s Precious Sword with his right chest, shook his wings, and instantly appeared before Manjushri Bodhisattva, slamming his left shoulder hard toward her.
The reason it was the left shoulder was that the right shoulder had been severed by True Warrior Emperor, while the left shoulder’s arm had been chopped off by Manjushri Bodhisattva earlier, but the shoulder itself remained.
Ao Tu smashed fiercely onto Manjushri Bodhisattva’s Lotus Platform; the platform’s Buddha’s Light shattered explosively. Manjushri Bodhisattva’s expression changed instantly; she was forcibly knocked off the Lotus Platform. Ao Tu snatched Red Boy and threw him far away.
Manjushri Bodhisattva rose to pursue, but Ao Tu blocked her path.
Seeing this, Manjushri Bodhisattva took the Dragon Subduing Pile to smash.
Ao Tu lifted his right leg and smashed it down fiercely onto Manjushri Bodhisattva’s Dragon Subduing Pile; Manjushri Bodhisattva was immediately sent flying backward.
True Warrior Emperor caught Manjushri Bodhisattva from behind.
A trace of blood overflowed from the corner of Manjushri Bodhisattva’s mouth.
Manjushri Bodhisattva wiped the blood from her mouth, glanced back at True Warrior Emperor, and said, “This demon is hard to deal with. Emperor, please assist, and Manjushri will surely repay generously.”
Hearing this, True Warrior Emperor could not refuse and nodded in agreement.
Manjushri Bodhisattva supported her body and looked at the demon before her.
Ao Tu stood on one leg in midair, blood flowing uncontrollably from his seven orifices, his body trembling, the huge power becoming ever harder to suppress, his vision already blurring.
Now, Ao Tu had only one left leg remaining of his four limbs.
His right shoulder had been severed by True Warrior, and in the previous attack, his left shoulder had shattered Manjushri’s Lotus Platform Buddha’s Light; the left shoulder had also shattered from the impact. His right leg had just struck the Dragon Subduing Pile, repelling Manjushri, and had also exploded.
As for the arms from the three heads and six arms illusion, in this level of battle, they could only serve as support and could not be used like the real body.
Manjushri Bodhisattva said, “Demon, your end is near. After you die, you still cannot save that little demon. I advise you to surrender; my Buddha is merciful and can still spare your life!”
Ao Tu grinned ferociously, blood overflowing from his sharp fangs, and said:
“This King has already shown utmost benevolence. That little demon’s life or death is up to heaven. If he lives, it is This King’s fortune; make him serve at my side to repay the favor. If he dies, it is his poor fate, and This King cannot be blamed.
However, This King has 48,000 lives. After losing this one, 47,999 remain. Come and fight as you please!”
Manjushri Bodhisattva sneered, “What lives do you have? You falsely claim the Blood Sea; others may fear you, but how could I?”
Ao Tu opened his mouth; his sharp fangs began to fall out, the power in his body already nearly uncontrollable.
Ao Tu spoke faster: “Manjushri Bodhisattva, you and I have no old grudges, no recent enmity. Why do you bully me so? Today I test this move on you. If you are not afraid of me, do not dodge.”
Hearing this, Manjushri Bodhisattva sneered and stood in place; with her golden body protecting her, she was utterly unafraid.
Manjushri Bodhisattva was renowned as the teacher of the Seven Buddhas. Though her body was not Grand Unity, it was merely lacking the corresponding law—like Guanyin Bodhisattva, she was unwilling to be under others, hence had not attained the Dao.
In other aspects, whether body, divine soul, or Magic Power, she was nearly on par with true Grand Unity, differing by only a hair.
Earlier, Ao Tu’s attack had cost his entire right leg exploding, yet it only split the corner of Manjushri Bodhisattva’s mouth, showing the strength of her body.
Now, Manjushri Bodhisattva did not believe this demon had any more tricks to injure her.
Seeing Manjushri Bodhisattva truly standing in place, Ao Tu laughed:
“Good, Manjushri Bodhisattva. Though our paths differ, I admire your temperament. Now take this axe from me.”
Ao Tu lifted his left leg, gathering all his power into it. The huge power caused his seven orifices to burst open, his divine soul falling into chaos. An indescribable rule instantly filled Ao Tu’s divine soul.
This power made Ao Tu feel as if he were in boundless chaos, until one day, a sharp light cleaved through everything.
This was a move Ao Tu had once comprehended.
Ao Tu had always regarded it as his trump card.
Previously, when battling Wukong, at the exciting peak, he had accidentally used this move.
But at that time, he had stopped immediately after just starting to use it.
Because this move was too terrifying; Ao Tu feared it would drain his Essence, Qi, and Spirit, so he did not use it.
Ao Tu had planned to use it fully against Wukong after his strength advanced enough to complete it.
Unexpectedly, today he used it early on Manjushri Bodhisattva.
In the distant Black Water River, Ao Tu lay on the Throne, with Ming Niang peeling Immortal Peaches for him and White Bone Spirit peeling grapes for him.
Suddenly, Ao Tu’s face paled; he felt one-third of his Essence, Qi, and Spirit’s Origin Power instantly drawn away remotely, the huge loss nearly making him fall from the Throne.
This Origin Power was the power one brought at birth, hence called origin; it was extremely hard to recover. Even with Immortal Peach or Golden Elixir, it required long recuperation.
What was the incarnation doing over there?
On the battlefield, Ao Tu’s left leg was raised high, power condensed within.
True Warrior Emperor followed behind Manjushri Bodhisattva. He had agreed to help, but his expression suddenly changed drastically; he turned, divided yin and yang, cleaved space, and fled in an instant.
Manjushri Bodhisattva ultimately had not entered Grand Unity; her grasp of Heaven and Earth rules was insufficient, not as perceptive as True Warrior Emperor, unable to quickly sense the terror of this move.
If he had foreseen the danger early, he could have escaped.
Because Ao Tu had poured all his power into the move; this move was not a power Ao Tu could use at his current stage—even he himself could not truly control it.
But Manjushri Bodhisattva was too arrogant.
First, Manjushri Bodhisattva thought: nearly two major realms apart—could he really overpower her?
Second, Manjushri Bodhisattva was at the Grand Unity doorstep, not yet entered, and did not sense the terror of this move at the first moment.
Manjushri Bodhisattva only felt that suddenly, she could no longer sense that demon’s left leg.
She could see it, but not sense it.
Manjushri Bodhisattva felt slightly off and turned back to see how True Warrior Emperor would respond.
But she discovered True Warrior Emperor had already vanished.
Looking up, Guanyin Bodhisattva and the others were also nowhere to be seen.
Manjushri was startled, a bad premonition rising in her heart.
At this moment, all of Ao Tu’s Essence, Qi, and Spirit power was drained and condensed into his left leg, then smashed down fiercely.
Ao Tu’s entire body exploded, turning to ash and smoke, leaving nothing behind.
Only a damaged Axe Light fell.
It was damaged because this Axe Light was less than one-fifth, tattered and incomplete, not fully condensed.
However, the power brought by this bit of damaged Axe Light was unimaginable to Manjushri Bodhisattva.
Manjushri Bodhisattva’s expression instantly became extremely terrified, because her body began issuing extreme warnings.
Great Tribulation!
Manjushri Bodhisattva turned to flee, but found it already too late.
For some reason, she felt as if in chaos, no Heaven and Earth visible, nowhere to escape.
She could only watch wide-eyed as that damaged Axe Light fell.
Manjushri Bodhisattva took the Dragon Subduing Pile to block.
In an instant, the Dragon Subduing Pile split into two.
Manjushri Bodhisattva hurriedly used her eight-armed golden body to obstruct; the Axe Light swept through, severing all eight arms.
The Axe Light fell straight onto Manjushri Bodhisattva, easily slicing open her chest, cutting her heart, about to cleave her in half.
Suddenly, a sigh sounded.
The Axe Light and Manjushri Bodhisattva were both seized remotely by someone.
