Chapter 132: Where Did It Go?
In the underground parking garage of Wanhe Hospital, a black sedan slowly drove in and parked in an empty space.
The car door opened, and Zheng Feiyu got out with a young man who was about 1.8 meters tall but exceptionally skinny.
The young man was dressed in black, with a pale face and dark circles under his eyes, looking like he might drop dead after taking two steps.
Zheng Feiyu looked at him worriedly: “Old Jiang, can you hold on? Do you want me to carry you on my back?”
Jiang Beishu was somewhat speechless: “……I’m not that weak yet to need someone to carry me.”
“Then let’s go, don’t keep Yuanman waiting.” Zheng Feiyu took the lead in front, and Jiang Beishu followed slowly behind him.
Jiang Beishu was full of hesitation, but he couldn’t hold back and asked: “Old Zheng, that master you mentioned……is she really reliable? Can she really solve my problem?”
These days, he had also sought out other people who claimed to be masters, but they took his money and performed their rituals, yet his problem still wasn’t solved.
It was Zheng Feiyu who heard about his situation and proactively offered to take him to see a reliable master, but……which master lives in a hospital?
“She’s really reliable. Didn’t I tell you on the way here? The issue in my family recently was solved with her help.” Zheng Feiyu patted his shoulder: “With her stepping in, your problem will definitely be solved.”
Jiang Beishu hadn’t spoken yet when the clacking sound rang in his ears again.
His body stiffened slightly, his steps paused, and the corner of his eye uncontrollably glanced downward, where a decayed, yellowish skeleton foot appeared in his sight.
Jiang Beishu: “!!!”
He quickly grabbed Zheng Feiyu: “Hurry up and walk!”
This damn skeleton had latched onto him again!-
In the hospital room, Nan Yuanman, Zheng Feiyu, and Jiang Beishu each sat on one side. Feng Congqian was afraid that his presence would make Zheng Feiyu and the others uncomfortable, so he went directly with the doctor for a routine check-up, leaving the space for them.
Jiang Beishu widened his eyes in disbelief, staring at the five-head-proportion child in front of him who looked not yet five years old, his mind buzzing.
His mouth slightly agape, he pointed at Nan Yuanman, then at Zheng Feiyu: “Old Zheng, she, master?!”
The last two words had his voice involuntarily rising.
Wasn’t this just playing with him? Which family has a five-year-old master?!
A five-year-old master! She can’t even recognize all the characters yet!
Zheng Feiyu raised his hand to press down Jiang Beishu’s hand: “Hey! Old Jiang, don’t judge by appearances. Yuanman is not like ordinary kids; she has real skills.”
Jiang Beishu’s vision went black again and again; he couldn’t help but ask in a low voice: “Old Zheng, you’re really not messing with me, are you?”
The truth was, Nan Yuanman’s appearance made it impossible for him to trust her directly!
Nan Yuanman blinked, imitating the way Old Master Nan used to receive clients, and patted her little chest in a childish voice: “Brother Feiyu isn’t messing with you. Don’t worry; as long as it’s something I can solve, I can definitely help you with it.”
“You……what can you solve for me!” Jiang Beishu was on the verge of collapse and couldn’t help muttering: “If you really have the skills, couldn’t you see it as soon as you look at me?”
Nan Yuanman was stunned: “Seeing it right upon meeting isn’t a heavenly master; that’s an immortal. Yuanman isn’t an immortal yet.”
“But……” Nan Yuanman tilted her head slightly, her chubby steamed bun face showing a bit of confusion: “By rights, big brother should have died at ten years old.”
Jiang Beishu: “?”
Jiang Beishu pointed at Nan Yuanman and looked incredulously at Zheng Feiyu: “She, is she cursing me to die??”
Zheng Feiyu calmly pressed his hand down again: “Calm down and keep listening. Yuanman doesn’t speak without reason.”
“Yuanman wouldn’t put shit! Big brother’s forehead is low, narrow, and sunken, dull, glabella dark and stagnant, eyebrows drooping low, eyes lifeless, nose bridge sharp and thin without flesh, ears small too. From birth, vitality weak, prone to illnesses, low energy, extremely weak fortune.”
“Based on the information your facial physiognomy tells me, at ten years old you had a severe illness that consumed all your vitality; you should have kicked the bucket then!” Nan Yuanman said somewhat unhappily.
But for some reason, Jiang Beishu, who was supposed to die young, was still alive, and the originally broken life line had weirdly reconnected.
Jiang Beishu subconsciously refuted her: “Nonsense, how come I don’t remember getting sick at ten……Ow ow ow ow!”
Before he finished speaking, his arm was viciously pinched by Zheng Feiyu, making him yell out in pain.
Zheng Feiyu frowned and released his hand. Before Jiang Beishu could question him, he spoke affirmatively: “You did have a severe illness at ten years old. You don’t remember?”
“I was at school and didn’t see you, so I called your mom on the phone. She said you had a serious illness and were hospitalized, and might not be able to continue school.”
Jiang Beishu was stunned: “This matter, why do I have no memory of it at all?”
In his mind, there was absolutely no memory of being sick at ten!
Zheng Feiyu: “Why don’t you call and ask Auntie?”
Jiang Beishu pursed his lips, took out his mobile phone, and called Madam Jiang. When the call connected, the sound of shuffling mahjong tiles came through, along with Madam Jiang’s impatient voice: “Say what you need quickly, fart what you need to fart; your mom is busy!”
“Mom, I……did I have a severe illness at ten years old?” Jiang Beishu opened his mouth, his voice hoarse as he asked.
“Yeah, that year at ten you didn’t listen, went swimming in the river in the middle of winter, got a high fever leading to meningitis and myocarditis, nearly went to see King Yama. Thanks to your grandpa finding a reliable doctor that saved you.”
Madam Jiang answered him subconsciously, then asked at the end: “Why are you asking about this?”
Jiang Beishu looked at Nan Yuanman in shock, murmuring: “Nothing, just ran into an old classmate and asked if my illness had gotten better.”
After saying that, Jiang Beishu hung up the phone, and Zheng Feiyu eagerly asked: “How about it? Did you find out?”
“I found out.” Jiang Beishu looked at Nan Yuanman with a complicated expression: “I did have a severe illness that year at ten.”
He believed it now; this little milk doll had real skills.
Jiang Beishu was silent for a moment, looked at Nan Yuanman, and first apologized to her: “Sorry, I didn’t mean not to believe you. It’s really your age……and also, these days I’ve sought out so many masters, none of whom could solve my problem, so my reaction was so strong.”
Nan Yuanman was a generous baby; she waved her little hand: “No problem, you’re also unwell, affected by ghost energy. Yuanman doesn’t blame you.”
“Ghost energy?” Jiang Beishu’s eyes lit up suddenly, excitedly stepping forward to grasp Nan Yuanman’s hand: “You can see it too, right?”
Nan Yuanman was stunned: “Huh? See what?”
“It’s, it’s that skeleton that’s always following behind me! A very terrifying skeleton!” Jiang Beishu turned his head to point, but suddenly discovered that the skeleton that had always been following behind him was gone.
In the hospital room’s living room, there were only their three living people.
Jiang Beishu was stunned: “How……did it disappear?”
