Chapter 199: I’ll Satisfy You
Sheng Hanxiang had never expected Nan Yuanman to react like this. The ghost was completely dumbfounded, and all creatures in the office fell into a weird silence.
Feng Jingcheng gulped down a mouthful of saliva, then awkwardly laughed to break the silence: “Haha, our grandpa is a bit stylish, huh? Look at that purple on him, ahahaha, really has some flair.”
Old Master Nan slowly turned his head, tilting it as he looked at Feng Jingcheng.
Feng Jingcheng stared wide-eyed at Old Master Nan, then hesitantly looked toward Nan Yuanman: “Um, Yuanman, our grandpa… is he human?”
Nan Yuanman: “?”
Feng Zining: “…”
Feng Jingcheng reacted and quickly tried to make amends: “Don’t misunderstand, I-I didn’t mean that. I meant to ask, is our grandpa alive?”
Feng Zining’s forehead veins throbbed as he gnashed his teeth: “Feng Jingcheng! Shut your mouth!”
How the hell does this guy talk?
Feng Jingcheng’s mouth opened and closed, and finally he raised his hand to make a zipping motion over his mouth, surrendering and shutting up.
Sheng Hanxiang slowly came back to her senses. She looked at Nan Yuanman with a complicated expression: “You…”
Nan Yuanman was leaning close to Old Master Nan’s ear, chattering about Sheng Hanxiang’s situation. Hearing her voice, she turned her head and asked: “What’s wrong? Aren’t these ghosts enough? I still have two more ghosts here…”
Before she finished speaking, another pitch-black head popped out from the small coffin. The burned to death ghost waved its hand with a toothy grin, revealing a row of exceptionally white and conspicuous teeth: “I can do it too! I’m the best at scaring people!”
Feng Jingcheng: “…”
Feng Zining: “…”
The brothers’ gazes couldn’t help but fall on the small coffin in Nan Yuanman’s hand. The same thought flashed through their minds: how many ghosts does she have in that small coffin?!
When will it end!
Sheng Hanxiang’s struggling slowed down gradually, and Xiao Cao and Zhuang Zhuang released their hold on her.
She gave Nan Yuanman a complicated look, bit her lip, didn’t answer, and turned around to rush out of the office.
Her revenge, she would take care of it herself! No need to trouble others!
Nan Yuanman: “!”
“Sister Sheng! Wait for us!”
She hurriedly put Old Master Nan back into the small coffin, grabbed Xiao Cao and Zhuang Zhuang, shoved the burned to death ghost’s head back into the small coffin, and chased after her with all her might.
Feng Jingcheng and Feng Zining hurriedly followed.
–
Feng Group underground parking lot.
Sun Mengman sat into the car with a face full of gloom, slammed the car door hard, and flung her bag onto the back seat in anger.
“Damn little bitch!” Sun Mengman pounded the steering wheel hard, her delicate and beautiful face full of malice and distortion.
An unworthy thing dared to trample her dignity underfoot! And even stopped her from going to Brother Zining! What incredible courage!
Sun Mengman’s face was venomous as she picked up her mobile phone and sent a message. Seeing the “message sent successfully” notice, she gripped the phone and sneered coldly.
Once she fell into her hands, she would make that little bitch wish she were dead!
Sun Mengman fantasized about how she would torment Nan Yuanman once she had her, and the depression in her heart eased a bit.
Just then, Zheng Zi’ang’s call came in. Sun Mengman rolled her eyes, answered, and snapped irritably: “Say what you have to say, fart what you have to fart!”
“What? Got wronged by your Brother Zining again?” Zheng Zi’ang raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
Sun Mengman’s face darkened even more: “You called just to mock me?”
“Am I that kind of person?” Zheng Zi’ang chuckled lightly, looking down at the young girl kneeling before him, trembling and full of alarm: “Didn’t you say Sheng Hanxiang was dead and you had no new toys? I have a newbie here. Want her?”
“Yes!” Sun Mengman’s eyes lit up slightly. She was in dire need of someone to vent on, and this new toy came right to her heart.
“I owe you this favor.”
Sun Mengman hung up after saying that and was about to drive when she found the car wouldn’t start no matter what.
Sun Mengman frowned: “Weird, is the car broken?”
She had just had the car serviced half a month ago; it couldn’t be broken.
She tried starting the engine again, but it still wouldn’t start. The temperature inside the car gradually rose unnoticed.
Sun Mengman tugged at her collar in the heat and was about to get out to check when the closed car stereo suddenly turned on.
“Zizi zi…”
The static crackle was especially loud in the empty underground parking lot. Sun Mengman jumped in fright: “What’s going on? Why did the stereo suddenly turn on?”
She muttered to herself and leaned forward to press the stereo power button.
First press, the stereo didn’t turn off.
Sun Mengman frowned and pressed again, but it still didn’t turn off. The static from the stereo grew louder and louder, and faintly, it seemed like a voice was coming through.
“Sun… zizi… Mengman… zizi… I’m so wronged… zizizizi…”
Sun Mengman’s expression changed slightly as she looked at the stereo in shock and suspicion.
The voice from the stereo grew louder: “Zizi… I died so unjustly… zizi… Sun Mengman! Why did you deceive me! Why!!”
This familiar voice made Sun Mengman’s face change drastically. Her back instinctively pressed against the seatback, her hairs standing on end, her whole body tense as she stared straight at the stereo.
This voice…
“Sheng Hanxiang?! No, no, it can’t be her.”
Sheng Hanxiang was already dead!
“Who are you?!” Sun Mengman demanded bravely despite her fear: “Who sent you to mess with me? Get out! Don’t you know who I am?!”
The static from the stereo paused for a moment, as if startled by Sun Mengman.
Sun Mengman breathed a sigh of relief in her heart. She knew it; this had to be someone messing with her. How could ghosts exist in this world?
The next instant, the temperature in the car plummeted, the humidity rose, and a pair of pale hands stretched out from the stereo, lunging fiercely at Sun Mengman’s neck.
Just as these hands were about to grab Sun Mengman’s neck, a faint golden light flashed, bouncing the hands away.
Sun Mengman screamed in fright and instinctively opened the car door to run. She twisted the door handle hard and pushed the door outward, but couldn’t open it.
Sun Mengman: “!!!”
She turned back in full terror at the unwilling hands reaching for her again, screaming shrilly: “Open! Open for me now!!”
“Aaaaaaah! Don’t come over!! Get away! Get away!!”
Sheng Hanxiang, bounced away once, didn’t give up and stubbornly reached for Sun Mengman’s neck again.
But she was bounced away once more by the golden light on Sun Mengman.
No matter how hard Sun Mengman tried, she couldn’t open the car door. When she saw the pale hands repeatedly repelled by the golden light, she suddenly thought of something and took a pure white Buddha statue from around her neck, gripping it tightly in her hand.
Her greatly frightened heart calmed a bit. She couldn’t help but sneer coldly: “I don’t know who you are, but you think you couldn’t beat me alive, and now dead you can hurt me? Dream on!”
“Trash in life! Still worthless trash in death!”
Her face full of glee, she gripped the Buddha statue tightly and even arrogantly stretched her neck toward the pale hand: “I’m right here. Come strangle me if you dare, trash!”
As soon as Sun Mengman finished speaking, a golden light invisible to ordinary eyes fell onto the Buddha statue in her hand.
A faint “crack” sounded.
The protective golden light around her shattered like a spider web.
Sheng Hanxiang’s hands clamped forcefully onto Sun Mengman’s neck.
Sun Mengman: “!!!”
