Chapter 143: Mio’s Current Crime
“Huh? Where is this?”
Natsume Mio discovered herself standing on an empty street.
It felt very real in all senses, but there were still many flaws.
For example, the poster on the convenience store next to it had the text all blurred together, completely unrecognizable.
This must be a dream.
Right, I fell asleep on A Jian’s bedding…
But what I’m dreaming of now is…
Natsume Mio walked forward on the street until a tall apartment building appeared in front of her, and she suddenly remembered.
In that memory about the future, she also remembered such a building.
At that time, she was stalking A Jian, tailing him all the way here, watching him go inside.
When she wanted to go in afterward, she couldn’t open the apartment building’s door lock, so she lost him.
But where is A Jian?
Since it’s dreaming of the scene of stalking A Jian back then, A Jian should be here too, right?
Natsume Mio stood downstairs at the apartment building and casually pressed the intercom control panel, but there was no response.
On the way here earlier, there was no one at all, so obviously she couldn’t wait for a resident to come in or out and follow them inside.
What a strange dream…
Natsume Mio circled around the apartment building. She was certain she had never been to this area before; it was near Todai University.
Anyway, let’s walk around and see.
Natsume Mio tried to enter a few paths nearby, but after walking a few steps into the alley, she found the front was a blank space; only a few roads were passable.
After circling around, she found an open area ahead, a civic park common in residential areas.
Natsume Mio had no particular purpose and just casually walked toward it.
Approaching the park, Natsume Mio looked at the civic park ahead and suddenly frowned.
What is that?
Natsume Mio quickly hid behind the wall of the building next to the path, peeking half her head toward the bench on the opposite side of the civic park.
On that bench, there were two figures: one with long hair holding the bench’s backrest with both hands, and the other with short hair behind the former.
Huh?
At this scene, Natsume Mio only felt her head buzzing, wondering if she had lost her sense of self; what the hell was she dreaming about…
Do I have such dirty thoughts in my head? Even dreams are always about this kind of thing… Well, actually, she’s dreamed about doing this kind of thing with A Jian more than once.
But that’s different!
Even in that memory, she and A Jian wouldn’t do it in broad daylight, so blatantly.
At least it was in the unmanned early hours of the morning, in the most hidden corner…
But why hadn’t she seen anyone earlier, yet there were two people doing this over there.
She couldn’t see their faces clearly from afar, but that man felt so familiar, extremely familiar… Natsume Mio just subconsciously wanted to reject the thought in her mind—that person was A Jian.
Should she get closer and take a look?
No matter what happens, it’s a dream anyway; there won’t be any consequences.
Natsume Mio moved from this wall corner to behind the civic park toilet a bit closer, then shifted to next to a vending machine.
Now she was halfway closer, and she could clearly see both their faces.
They were so absorbed, completely unaware of Natsume Mio peeking from not far away.
And now Natsume Mio had to confirm that terrible thought…
This man is Sakamoto Ken, no doubt!
For a moment, Natsume Mio felt her hands and feet go cold, her legs too weak to step forward, a stifled anger inside her, with a strong sense of powerlessness.
A Jian, you, how, right in front of me…
The girl widened her eyes, looking at the scene by the bench.
She knocked her forehead hard and shook her head forcefully, trying to shake off the weird thoughts in her mind.
Peeking again… no changes.
Should she just rush over and catch him to ask what’s going on!
Thinking of it, she did it; Natsume Mio shouted, “A Jian!”
Then she ran big steps toward the bench.
But as soon as she took a step, she suddenly felt her body lose balance, and a loud voice rang in her head: “Hey hey, wake up! Your drool has soaked A Jian’s pillow!!”
Natsume Mio jolted awake and sat up straight.
“A Jian?!” After opening her eyes, Natsume Mio blurted out.
She was still holding Sakamoto Ken’s pillow in her arms, facing an empty room.
Turning her head, Mikazuki Haruna was squatting beside her.
After receiving Natsume Mio’s message, she had no mind to draw facing the manuscript paper; all her thoughts were on her and A Jian being together, surely up to no good.
Then she drove straight over.
Arriving at the studio, she saw Sakamoto Ken’s three assistants working, and Kaji Keiko was there too, but no Natsume Mio.
She asked the assistants and learned she had gone upstairs, so Mikazuki Haruna immediately went upstairs to find her.
Searching room by room, she finally saw her sleeping on Sakamoto Ken’s bedding, hugging his pillow, drooling with a small wet spot on it.
So she immediately shook this girl awake.
The two girls stared at each other for a long time; finally, Mikazuki Haruna spoke first.
“You were dreaming about A Jian, weren’t you!” Mikazuki Haruna said in an interrogating tone.
Natsume Mio pursed her lips, turned her head away, and didn’t answer.
But the answer was obvious; after all, she had just heard Natsume Mio shout A Jian’s name.
“Hey hey, what did you dream about doing with A Jian?” Mikazuki Haruna pressed.
Mikazuki Haruna herself had once experienced an extraordinarily realistic dream, with A Jian in her apartment room, where she clung to him until Shijiyuan woke her up.
“Nothing…” Natsume Mio said softly.
“Nothing what?!” Hearing this, Mikazuki Haruna grew more suspicious. “You didn’t have a wet dream about being with A Jian, did you?”
“Hey hey, say something; what exactly did you dream? Not having sex with A Jian, right?” Mikazuki Haruna continued pressing.
Natsume Mio: “…”
Natsume Mio sat cross-legged on the bedding, completely ignoring Mikazuki Haruna beside her. She frowned in thought for a moment, then immediately got up.
First, she straightened the quilt and put the pillow back in place.
Seeing the small drool stain on the pillow, Natsume Mio silently removed the pillowcase and took it downstairs to the washing machine.
After starting the washing machine, she headed straight to the doorway without saying a word to Mikazuki Haruna the whole time.
“Hey hey, where are you going?”
Natsume Mio put on her shoes, went out, and walked quickly toward the train station.
Mikazuki Haruna caught up and said, “I drove here. Where are you going? I’ll drive you.”
Natsume Mio stopped, looked at Mikazuki Haruna, knowing she couldn’t shake this girl off—if she took the train, she’d definitely follow—so she said, “Then hurry up and get in the car; go to the Todai University area.”
“Todai University?” Mikazuki Haruna was a bit doubtful.
Natsume Mio had already reached the parking lot across from the convenience store, walking to her car.
Mikazuki Haruna immediately got in the car and followed the navigation toward Todai University.
“Where exactly?” Mikazuki Haruna asked.
“I’ll recognize the way when we get there,” Natsume Mio said.
Mikazuki Haruna drove all the way; after entering the Hongo area, Natsume Mio started directing her into the path nearby.
The memory was very clear; they arrived at the civic park next to that apartment building.
After parking, Natsume Mio opened the door and got out, hurrying into the civic park.
Unlike the scene in the dream earlier, there were many kids playing on the open ground, with old folks chatting nearby.
Walking to that bench, Natsume Mio plopped down.
Parking wasn’t allowed on the roadside here, but Mikazuki Haruna didn’t care; she got out and walked over.
Mikazuki Haruna looked around, completely unable to figure out what Natsume Mio wanted to do.
“What are you doing here?” Mikazuki Haruna sat directly next to her.
Natsume Mio shook her head and said, “Don’t make noise; I’m thinking…”
