Chapter 133:
The little girl’s voice was childish and tender, “Older Sister, may I ask which bottle is juice? I can’t see.”
Meng Shuyou immediately squatted down and told her, “The bottle on your left is juice. Do you want to drink it now? I’ll open it for you.”
The little girl’s eyes were lifeless, her eyeballs somewhat abnormally rolled back white. She smiled and refused, “No need, I can do it myself.”
She gripped the juice bottle, felt for the straw on the side and removed it, found the straw hole and inserted it in.
Meng Shuyou saw that her movements were quite skilled; she was probably quite independent usually. She looked to be only six or seven years old, with a thin and small figure.
The little girl said, “Older Sister, you can give this bottle of milk to other children to drink. I’m allergic to milk.”
“Okay.” Meng Shuyou put away the milk, “If you need my help, call me anytime. My name is Elara.”
The little girl nodded, “Mm, thank you, Elara Older Sister.”
“You’re welcome.” Meng Shuyou gently ruffled her hair and continued distributing drinks to the other children.
The classroom was noisy with constant laughter and play.
After distributing everything, as originally planned, she took the children to the Activity Room to experience making cookies by themselves.
When counting numbers, a teacher noticed someone was missing, “Where is Eva? Did any of you see her?”
Another teacher replied, “She told me she was going to the bathroom, and it’s been a while.”
“She couldn’t have run into trouble, could she? She can’t see again. I’ll go out and look for her; you all go ahead first.”
Hearing this, Meng Shuyou quickly spoke up, “Teacher, I’ll go with you.”
“Okay.” The teacher said while walking out, “That little girl is wearing a red hoodie, with two braids. She’s usually very well-behaved. Although she can’t see, she has no major problems with self-care in daily life.”
Compared to the other children, she was quite worry-free.
Meng Shuyou: “You can tell she’s very independent.”
The Bathroom was at the end of the Corridor. They searched inside and out, but still no sign of her.
The teacher looked anxious, “How could we not see her?”
Meng Shuyou looked around, “I’ll go look nearby.”
The teacher thought for a moment, “Okay, then I’ll go Upstairs to check, maybe she went back to the Lounge.”
“Mm.”
Meng Shuyou had heard the Dean say there was a vegetable patch behind the Welfare Home, all planted by the teachers with the children. She went around to look.

Then, a cry for help sounded from the distance, “Help—”
Meng Shuyou was stunned for a moment, then quickened her steps and followed the source of the sound. She passed through a small path and saw a red figure in the Pond ahead, with an orange cat on the Shore meowing nonstop.
“Eva!” She hurriedly ran to the edge of the Pond.
The little girl had somehow fallen into the Water. She was holding a Kitten in her arms, and with the other hand gripping a nearby Branch tightly to barely support her body from sinking, shivering from the cold, sobbing softly, “I wanted to save the Kitten and accidentally slipped down…”
“Don’t be afraid, I’ll call someone to rescue you.”
Meng Shuyou not only couldn’t swim but was also afraid of water; going down would only make things worse.
But the next second, the Branch suddenly snapped.
The little girl struggled and cried out, “Ah!”
In this situation, there was no time to wait for others. Meng Shuyou couldn’t worry about so much; there were no tools available around, and the Pond’s Water didn’t look very deep. She endured her intense fear and wanted to jump down.

“I’ll go down.” He said, then quickly jumped into the Water. With the advantage of his long legs and arms, he swam over and picked up the little girl, “It’s okay now.”
