Chapter 277: Mayfly Technique

This time, Root lost 5 people, Lynx Squad lost 7, and Lord Danzo suffered another heavy blow.

Yoru said: “My offensive abilities are average, but my defense is decent. Killing me isn’t that easy.”
Confirming that Hanashika, Jiraiya, and the others had escaped back, Yoru felt relieved.
It took another 7 days, and Yoru returned to Konoha Village.

Aries and Hanashika were waiting early at the village entrance.

“Captain! You’re back!”
Yoru said: “It was just a small scene. Uchiha Madara is strong, but after all, he’s over seventy. Who could he kill?”
Hanashika said: “Captain, Root lost 5 people, Lynx Squad lost Uchiha Madara may be old, but he can still kill.

Only Fox Captain could come back alive.”

The Third Hokage, Danzo, Mito Mon’en, Lord Kiiroinu, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Lynx.
Plus Aries and Hanashika that Yoru brought in, the office was a bit crowded.
The Third Hokage said: “Fox, good thing you’re back. The losses this time were huge. You coming back lets me breathe a sigh of relief.”
Yoru said: “Hokage, Lord Kiiroinu, I’m skilled in defensive ninjutsu and luckily escaped back using Earth Release.”
Lord Kiiroinu nodded repeatedly.
When he first learned Fox might have died at Uchiha Madara’s hands, he was in great pain.
Fox was his first capable subordinate; many missions only Fox could handle—anyone else would just be sent to die.
Lord Kiiroinu glanced at the Third Hokage; even if his father died, he wouldn’t be this pained.
Danzo asked: “Fox, where are Root’s five ninjas?”
Still 38 votes short, monthly votes to 4000, two extra chapters if reaching 4000 before 11pm tonight.
