Chapter 137: Magic Shop on the Magic Continent
“I need to go out for a bit. By the way, where is the magic shop in this small town? I didn’t see any signs.”
All this time, they had been following signs to their destinations. But without signs, finding a place in such a large small town was like searching for a needle in a haystack.
Butler: “Your Highness, in this small town, all the houses with crystal silver bells hanging from their roofs are magic houses. What item do you wish to purchase?”
“I need to find some magic potions, herbs, and some ores.”
“In that case, I recommend you go to the Curiosity Shop. The boss of the Curiosity Shop is a Level Three Wizard. He makes the widest variety of magic potions, and he also has plenty of herbs and ores. The Curiosity Shop also sells high-level magic cards, which Your Highness might need.”
Magic cards?
He probably noticed me carrying the mermaid around so conspicuously and decided to mention it.
Sang Chu smiled at the handsome young man, who wasn’t very old, and said, “Thank you.”
“You are too kind, Your Highness.”
Sang Chu turned and went downstairs. A hint of malice flashed in the eyes of the butler, Luo Ke. He lowered his head, took out a black stone, and squeezed it. The stone emitted faint light.
A voice from the other side entered his ears: 【 Luo Ke, who is that fool carrying the mermaid around so conspicuously? Can we make a move? Everyone is ready! 】
Luo Ke: 【 Notify everyone, don’t make a move for now. These people might be difficult to deal with! 】
【 They aren’t wearing wizard robes, not even simple magic clothes for magic apprentices. How are they difficult to deal with? 】
【 Exactly, Luo Ke, you’re not planning to keep that mermaid for yourself, are you! 】
Listening to the voices of his companions on the other side, Luo Ke said coldly: 【 What do you know? The crystal cards they used to pay have a rose pattern, indicating royalty. The woman who just left was wearing a wizard robe with a rose pattern. If you’re not afraid of offending royalty, then make your move, but don’t drag me into it. 】
After speaking, he put away the communication stone, clenched his trembling hands, and returned to his post.
Sang Chu walked downstairs and happened to run into Wu Ge. The moment he saw the wizard robe Sang Chu was wearing, he was stunned.
If the crystal coin card earlier had made him suspect that this group was from the royalty of Rose City, then Sang Chu’s rose-patterned wizard robe undoubtedly confirmed their identity.
“Greetings, Prince Sang. Are you going out?”
Sang Chu nodded slightly: “Yes, I want to go to a magic shop to buy some things. Where is my crystal card?”
Wu Ge handed the crystal card to Sang Chu with both hands, saying with a smile, “The low-level magic beasts you brought have all been sold for you. A total of three crystal coins were obtained and have been transferred to your card.”
After taking back the crystal card, Sang Chu said, “Thank you.”
“You are too kind, Prince Sang. It is Wu Ge’s honor to be of service to Your Highness. If you are going to the magic shop, turn right out of here and walk to the end of the street, and you will see it.”
“Okay, I understand.”
Sang Chu bid farewell to Wu Ge and walked out. Following the direction he indicated, he indeed saw an entire street lined with buildings that had crystal silver bells hanging from their roofs.
She didn’t go to the shop Luo Ke mentioned. Instead, she looked around and finally entered a shop that had subtle differences in appearance from the other buildings.
This shop had no name. Its main door and stone-built walls were covered in strange wood grain. The old-fashioned glass windows were painted with strange magic patterns, and embedded in the magic patterns was a strange stone. This stone made Sang Chu’s supernatural ability stir.
She pushed open the door and walked in.
The bell hanging on the wooden door continuously emitted a pleasant sound, making Sang Chu somewhat dazed.
“Respected Your Highness, please forgive this little elf’s impolite actions.”
The shop owner, Grandma Mino, looked to be over eighty years old. She was slightly short, with sparse white hair, held back by a simple silver hairpin. She was elegant and graceful.
She wore a purple wizard robe. Her wizard robe had no strange runes, only depicted blooming purple hyacinths.
This was somewhat similar to the wizard robe purchased on the Otherworld Train, except that the one she wore was pure red, embroidered with a rose pattern.
Sang Chu: “It’s nothing, Elder. I’m here to buy magic potions. Do you have any?”
Mino glanced at Sang Chu, a hint of confusion appearing on her kind face: “Is Your Highness poisoned?”
“Yes, a poison from an animal. I don’t know what it is. Please take a look, Elder.”
Sang Chu was not surprised that this magician could tell she was poisoned. If she didn’t have this ability, then she couldn’t save her.
She lifted her sleeve, and the zombie pattern on her arm had already spread. If she hadn’t been using her supernatural ability and spiritual power to support herself and prevent the virus from invading her heart, she would have already turned into a zombie.
Mino leaned on her cane and walked forward slightly unsteadily. Her sapphire-blue eyes emitted a faint light. Sang Chu could feel something scanning her. She didn’t make a sound or show fear, allowing the other party to observe her calmly.
“Your Highness has been poisoned by corpse poison. I’m afraid you encountered a Corpse Spirit.”
Corpse Spirit? Judging by the name, it should be the same thing as a zombie.
“Is there an antidote?”
Grandma Mino chuckled: “Don’t worry, Your Highness. This old woman has the antidote here, but there’s only one dose.”
“Please speak plainly, Grandma. How can I buy it?”
“I need a large quantity of Corpse Spirits. Since Your Highness has been poisoned by a Corpse Spirit, you must know where to find them. As long as Your Highness can promise to bring me three Corpse Spirits, I will sell you the antidote.”
“Alright, but I need the antidote first. I’ve been poisoned for quite some time and have been relying on magic to sustain myself. Without the medicine, I will die.”
Mino: “Of course, this old woman will get it for Your Highness right away.”
While waiting, Sang Chu saw a white little elf hiding in the bell on the wooden door. It poked out a tiny head, seeming a little afraid of Sang Chu.
She only glanced at it, not paying much attention, and then walked towards the display cabinet.
Many cards were neatly arranged inside. Each card had a picture on it, such as an owl, a large snake, and even a dragon-like card.
“Does Your Highness want magic cards?”
“Yes, how much is one?”
“This Fire Dragon, although young, is very rare and costs three crystal coins. The others are one thousand crystal shards. Your Highness, here is your antidote.”
Mino handed the crystal bottle to Sang Chu. Looking at the bluish liquid inside, Sang Chu couldn’t help but shiver. Could this stuff be drunk?
It wouldn’t kill someone, would it!
Seeing that Sang Chu was hesitant to take it, Mino looked at her with confusion: “Your Highness?”
“Yes.”
Taking the potion, Sang Chu asked, “Do I drink this directly?”
“Yes, Your Highness. After drinking it, the corpse poison will disappear, and the poison marks on your body will naturally vanish.”
“Do I have to drink the whole bottle?”
“Yes.”
Once she confirmed that it was indeed meant to be drunk, Sang Chu didn’t hesitate and downed it in one gulp!
