Chapter 162: You Must Be a Very Good Girl
“Teach you a lesson? I don’t have that kind of free time.”
Yin Manni pouted. Besides attending school every day, she had all sorts of things to do at home. She had private tutors for her dance and music classes who came to her home. She didn’t have the time or energy for such trivial matters.
“What do you mean, you still won’t admit it? I won’t tell on you.”
“Anyway, the people you hired can’t hurt me.”
Gu Siyu smiled. Ordinary people couldn’t harm her.
“I told you I didn’t do it, why don’t you believe me?”
“Who told you it was me who sent them to teach you a lesson?”
“Damn it, they dared to frame me! I’ll destroy them!”
Yin Manni bristled. She would never do something so immoral. Although she was a young lady with a strong temper and was angry that Bei Ming Hao Chen ignored her, she wouldn’t stoop to such underhanded tactics.
Yin Manni’s reaction was too strong, and Gu Siyu couldn’t help but be taken aback. What was going on? Had she wrongly accused Yin Manni? Were those people not sent by Yin Manni?
But those people had clearly told her themselves that Yin Manni had sent them to teach her a lesson. However, it didn’t seem to be the case now.
And…
Bei Ming Hao Chen had said that day that he was going to avenge her and settle things with Yin Manni.
“So, did Bei Ming Hao Chen talk to you about this matter?”
Gu Siyu asked tentatively, a possibility spreading in her mind, causing her to frown deeply.
“What matter?”
As expected, Yin Manni was unaware.
Gu Siyu finally understood. So, Bei Ming Hao Chen already knew that those matters had nothing to do with Yin Manni?
Why did he trust Yin Manni so much? It seemed that over ten years of feelings were not for nothing.
“Bei Ming Hao Chen seems to trust you a lot.”
Gu Siyu didn’t answer Yin Manni’s question but said something else instead.
Yin Manni smiled uncharacteristically and said confidently, “Of course. It’s been over ten years. Brother Chen knows me best. He knows very well what I would and wouldn’t do.”
“Does he know you like him?”
Gu Siyu seized the opportunity to press further.
Yin Manni: (╯-_-)╯╧╧
“Probably.”
But he probably preferred not to know?
“Alright, I misunderstood you. I thought those people were really sent by you. Anyway, I wasn’t hurt, so I apologize for misunderstanding you.”
“Yes, since Bei Ming Hao Chen trusts you so much, I believe you must be a very good girl.”
“I have other matters to attend to, so I’ll be leaving now.”
“I hope that no matter what, you won’t resent me, because I have no intention of harming either of you.”
Gu Siyu raised her eyebrows and smiled.
She left the hospital with her head held high. Yin Manni stood by the window in the corridor, watching Gu Siyu walk out of the hospital and get into a taxi, still lost in thought.
She didn’t actually hate Gu Siyu, she was just a little unwilling. Perhaps every girl felt this way.
The boy she had liked for many years suddenly doted on another girl who appeared out of nowhere.
Anyone would find that unbearable, right? Yin Manni didn’t think she was wrong, but her father had told her that feelings couldn’t be forced. The Yin Family and the Bei Ming Family were old friends, and this matter shouldn’t affect their relationship.
Yin Manni thought her father was probably right. If she was destined to be with Bei Ming Hao Chen, no matter how many Gu Siyus appeared, Bei Ming Hao Chen would be hers…
