Chapter 263: Love And Romance
Liancheng rolled down half of the car window, “What are you doing here?”
“Move aside.” Liang Chaosu looked down, the half-rolled-down window, without its tinted film, allowed for a clearer, more distinct close encounter than at the traffic lights. “Mr. Feng, don’t you think you’re too close to my wife?”
Feng Shien leaned his body sideways, his arm unmoving. “Your wife? Liancheng doesn’t want to marry you. In a few days, Ms. Lin will publicly announce the annulment of the engagement.”
Liang Chaosu narrowed his eyes, neither smiling nor speaking.
Hong Kong was sunny and pleasant. He wore a black shirt and black trousers, like a turbulent sea of stormy waves, with a deep and majestic, piercing chill.
Feng Shien stood tall, facing an unprecedented pressure that was too immense. He could be on guard, but he couldn’t say anything more.
Liancheng vaguely perceived that Liang Chaosu had regret, specifically regarding the bet.
She placed her hand on Feng Shien’s arm and gently pushed him away, “What do you want to talk about?”
Liang Chaosu’s gaze fell on her hand. That sliver of a look was bone-chillingly cold, yet carried a scorching heat, intense and sharp, quickly burning off a layer of skin on her palm.
“Regarding the bet.”
Liancheng guessed correctly. She maintained an expressionless facade and confronted him, “If you want to talk, first answer me, how did you know to be here?”
How he would know the place Lin Lanfeng had temporarily arranged.
“Su Chenghuai.”
Exhausted from days of toiling, her reaction was slow. “Isn’t he in Singapore?”
“He’s come to Hong Kong, with the Huang family.”
Feng Shien looked at Liancheng. Coincidentally, Liancheng was also looking at him. In their shared gaze, there was identical astonishment in their eyes.
The Huang family of Singapore.
During Liancheng’s journey, Lin Lanfeng contacted her every two hours. The details from various sources had almost pieced together a complete picture.
No matter how large the Liang family was, their territory was primarily domestic. They couldn’t disrupt the Lin family in Hong Kong, nor could they affect the Mo family in Singapore.
Lin Xianzi feared Liang Chaosu so much because he had made the first move, precisely exploiting the marriage alliance scandal of the Huang family in Singapore, helping the sole daughter of the main branch to break off her engagement and successfully ascend to power.
He was a powerful, external tool that had little cooperation with the Mo family.
Liang Chaosu bringing the Huang family to Hong Kong at this time validated Lin Lanfeng’s analysis of his motives. His ability to appear here confirmed that even her concern about revealing the truth of her identity was almost a foregone conclusion.
Liancheng pursed her lips tightly, gripping her mobile phone, preparing to get out of the car.
Perhaps the eye contact with Feng Shien a moment ago had stimulated Liang Chaosu. He raised his hand, reached into the half-open car window, and unlocked the door.
The man’s actions were sudden and swift. Feng Shien locked the car defensively, but he hadn’t anticipated such ferocious and rude behavior, losing his composure to this extent. By the time he thought to stop him, it was too late.
Liang Chaosu leaned into the co-pilot seat, unbuckled his seatbelt, and carried Liancheng away.
Feng Shien immediately got out of the car and ran around the front to chase, but was stopped by Xiao Da. “Madam didn’t struggle; that means she agreed. Mr. Feng, can’t you read body language?”
“Liang Chaosu is threatening me,” Feng Shien said angrily. “He deliberately waited here, brought up the Huang family, to coerce Liancheng into submission. Isn’t that shameless?”
His voice was loud. Liang Chaosu walked up the slope, hearing every word.
Such a naked, clumsy provocation. He turned his head to look back. The shadows of the trees obscured the space, making him appear to be smirking, exceptionally sinister.
“Do you have feelings for him?”
His gaze fixed on Feng Shien, but he asked her.
Liancheng’s mind was filled with the deductions from all the reactions. Regarding this kind of romantic entanglement, as if she were desperate for a relationship upon meeting a man, she felt disdain and impatience, urging him.
“Let me down, we need to talk about serious business.”
Liang Chaosu lowered his head to stare at her, “This is serious business.”
Liancheng couldn’t help but show a cold expression, “If you want to talk, it’s about the bet.”
“It’s also about this.”
The temperature in Hong Kong was high. Liang Chaosu wore a casual black shirt, and he didn’t like to wear a tie. He had unbuttoned the top button, revealing a wound that ran from his neck to his Adam’s apple.
The edges were red and swollen, just scabbed over. The collar rubbed against it, causing it to bleed again.
It further intensified his wildness, the surging, fatal desire to conquer and possess, his extreme ferocity and arrogance.
Merely separated by a thin mist, if she handled it improperly.
Today, at this moment, she would be utterly destroyed.
The heavy weight of her mobile phone in her pocket grounded her a little.
“There are people here. Let’s talk in your car.”
Liang Chaosu’s expression inexplicably softened a bit. He turned his head and looked at Feng Shien again.
“Afraid outsiders will hear?”
The number of people who knew about the recording was extremely limited. There were still spies around Lin Xianzi, and Liancheng remained vigilant in Hong Kong.
Especially since Liang Chaosu knew this location, it indicated that the Lin family had a leak. She was wary of eavesdropping.
“Yes.”
Dragging things out, Liancheng became anxious, “Are we going to talk or not?”
An indescribable emotion flickered across Liang Chaosu’s brow. He kicked open the nearest door.
Liancheng was startled. Hong Kong was not like the mainland; privacy was highly valued. Illegally intruding into a private residence would surely result in a lawsuit from the owner.
It was best for her to cause as little commotion as possible right now. Otherwise, the moment Liang Chaosu coerced her into leaving, Feng Shien would immediately call the police.
“Get out, the owner will—”
“I am the owner.”
Liancheng froze.
A dark shadow loomed over her. She felt his lips and tongue invade her, the cold patterns of the door panel pressing into her skin, while her chest was pressed against something hot and hard as iron in front of her.
Liang Chaosu’s desires were always violent and forceful, leaving her no option to refuse. The only restraint was whether he was willing to endure.
During his time back from Iceland, he had been remarkably restrained and subdued, yet entangled in many incidents. Liancheng certainly hadn’t forgotten his dangerous nature, but she had clearly underestimated him.
After he no longer had to abide by the agreement not to touch her, she truly felt it once again.
“You proposed the bet, of course I agreed,” he restrained Liancheng.
“But the engagement is the foundation. You are my wife, madam, spouse, old lady. Don’t let unstable trash like Feng Shien get in my way.”
Liancheng trembled all over, her tongue growing numb and bitter. The oxygen in her chest was squeezed dry, making it difficult to breathe.
She struggled to pull her hand away, but his hot lips and tongue wound around hers. Her eyes were red, and she slapped his left cheek.
“I’m willing to talk to you because I want to tell you not to go too far.”
She took out her phone, “I’ve uploaded hundreds of recordings to cloud storage, both domestically and internationally. The bet was an unavoidable measure I took because I was afraid of implicating my mother.”
“If you insist on forcing her to utter defeat, I will no longer have scruples about your father. You can go to prison now, and we will fight you, your father, and Mo Shicheng to the last second.”
Liang Chaosu’s tongue pressed against his cheek. The handprint on his left cheek was red and swollen. It was small and delicate but held no restraint.
That trace of stinging heat gradually cooled under her cold, dark gaze, freezing, vibrating through her blood vessels, bumpy, and suddenly, she was back in Iceland.
Yet, it was fiercer than then. Then she was isolated; now she was bravely standing alone, willing to advance and retreat for others.
“You think you can win? Relying on Lin Xianzi?” His gaze was sharp as a knife, fierce, cold, glinting with frost, and even more mocking. “Or is your worst-case scenario a mutual destruction?”
Liancheng pushed him away and wiped her mouth fiercely, so much so that her lips and tongue felt distorted. Every inch inside and out was a result of four years of accumulated, retaliatory action, leaving no corner untouched.
