The distance between Group A and Group B wasn’t too far, so when Gao Zhong Dui and his team moved out, they didn’t specifically wait for Group B.
Group B just needed to arrive at the designated location on time and provide Group A with field of vision and firepower support—that was enough. In other words, this decapitation operation had nothing to do with their Group B; they were just assisting Group A throughout.
No one in Group B complained about this arrangement. In the over a year they’d spent at Wolf Fang, they had learned to obey orders, especially Chang Ning and Xiao Zhuang, these two new recruits from the same year, who had grown a lot.
With Chang Ning around, someone Xiao Zhuang truly admired, Xiao Zhuang still had his stubborn temper but didn’t flare up often anymore.
After all, Chang Ning was more outstanding than him yet kept a low profile at Wolf Fang, so he had even less reason to be a troublemaker.
“Group B has arrived at the designated area, over.”
Geng Jihui lay in the grass nest and reported their position to Gao Zhong Dui.
“Group A copies. Your mission is to monitor the target.
Remember, without my order, even if Group A is completely annihilated, you can’t move a muscle!”
Gao Zhong Dui’s tone was stern. After arriving at the destination, he sensed an atmosphere of extreme unease permeating the surroundings, as if every blade of grass and tree in this forest harbored deep hostility toward him.
