Chapter 148: Morgana’s Heavy Losses
“I’m very free right now. Wanting to protect others is my freedom, and wanting to abide by morality is also my freedom. I like others’ recognition and adoration, and that makes me happy too. It’s not that only wanton degeneracy is freedom. Morgana, your ideology is too narrow.” Meng Huaifeng sneered.
“Kid, you have good comprehension. The queen admits what you said makes sense. How about this? You want to protect this country, right? Join me, and I promise not to let demons invade this country. How’s that?” Morgana said.
“Does joining you mean I have to believe in degeneracy?”
“Naturally.” Morgana said matter-of-factly.
“Then here’s the problem. Your degenerate ideology is doing whatever you want, and I really don’t like joining demons. Joining demons means I’m going against your degenerate ideology. What to do?” Meng Huaifeng asked with a half-smile.
“Damn it! Are you messing with me?” Morgana glared angrily.
“I also want to uphold justice and clean up the greatest evil in the universe. To follow the queen’s degenerate ideology of doing whatever you want, how about you make a sacrifice?” Meng Huaifeng continued to taunt.
“Want to clean me up? Even Kaisa that bitch couldn’t do it, and you think you can? Do you have that ability? Looks like I have to beat you into submission first.” Morgana summoned her demon claws.
“I think we do.” Meng Huaifeng said without a doubt.
The demon claws lunged at Meng Huaifeng. Meng Huaifeng struck one demon claw away with a shot, and Stelle smashed the other demon claw away with a shot.
“Flowing Light of the Moon.”
March 7th attacked Morgana with her sword.
Morgana spread her pitch-black wings, revealing her true form as the demon queen. The heavy smoky makeup on her face looked somewhat ugly in Meng Huaifeng’s eyes.
“Space interference.”
Meng Huaifeng knew demons’ specialty was opening wormholes, so he immediately disrupted the surrounding space.
Morgana’s wormhole failed to open. March 7th severed her left arm with a sword, and ice sealed the wound and severed arm.
“Damn, this power and speed—one comparable to a third generation god, and the other two almost on par with fourth generation gods. What the hell did Karl that bastard make me deal with? What kind of civilization are these?” Morgana cursed inwardly. Dark energy surged, shaking off the ice. Her severed arm reconnected to her shoulder.
Excluding out-of-spec technology power, March 7th and Stelle’s strength was indeed no less than this world’s standard fourth generation gods.
Good thing it wasn’t god-slaying weapons, or this queen would have flipped the car with one careless moment.
Morgana glanced at Welt who hadn’t made a move yet. This guy was the elder of the three, and his strength might even be greater than theirs. No good, can’t fight. The queen needs to slip away!
Morgana, with her vast experience in escaping, immediately made the decision.
Space was blockaded, so Morgana used her demon wings to reposition and analyze the space.
Morgana’s research in space technology was indeed advanced enough, and though her demon wings were far inferior to the Great Clock and Heavenly Blade series, they were still a celestial computer with strong computing power.
It wouldn’t take long to reposition the space disrupted by Meng Huaifeng.
Morgana fully activated her demon claws, but she was still pushed back step by step by the three.
Meng Huaifeng’s attacks were unpredictable, sometimes real and sometimes fake, with varying lengths, sometimes curving, penetrating obstacles, and carrying god-slaying power. Morgana had a massive headache dealing with them.
March 7th’s attacks didn’t carry god-slaying power and didn’t do much harm to her divine body, but they controlled her movements, allowing the other two to hit her.
Stelle wielded a flame spear in one hand and a baseball bat in the other. The unknown power swirling around the baseball bat wasn’t god-slaying power, but it felt even more dangerous to Morgana. She absolutely didn’t dare let it hit her.
Fortunately, Stelle’s attacks were straightforward without that much trickery, making them relatively easy to dodge. Most of the time, Morgana would rather take two shots from Meng Huaifeng than dodge March 7th and Stelle’s attacks.
The four were basically going all out. The surrounding environment, even protected by Stelle’s shield of preservation, was occasionally destroyed by the battle. Stelle had to continuously reinforce the shield of preservation.
Superdimension Academy had sounded the alarm. Except for Lana, no one else could intervene in their battle for the time being. Everyone went to assist the academy staff and reserve students in evacuating.
In less than a minute, the entire restaurant had been completely leveled. Only the buildings farther away were spared from the battle’s aftershocks breaking Stelle’s shield.
“Space positioning completed. Open wormhole?” The demon wings prompted.
“Damn, finally done! Hurry up and open it for me!” Morgana said impatiently.
At this point, her pitch-black wings already had six or seven bullet holes, and her body had several more punctures that wouldn’t heal under the destruction of the god-slaying power.
One arm was twisted, one leg was deformed, and each had a patch of grayish skin—that was caused by Stelle’s destruction power.
Most of the injuries were thanks to March 7th freezing Morgana, allowing Meng Huaifeng and Stelle to land so many hits.
Poor little March, even with sword practice, she couldn’t escape the fate of being support. Becoming the main DPS was impossible in this world.
“Damn little brats, wait for me. I’ll deal with you next time!” Morgana spat a harsh threat.
A tiny wormhole opened behind Morgana, and she instantly deconstructed her body and entered it.
With such a small wormhole, the three couldn’t follow. They could only watch Morgana escape unwillingly.
Welt had never made a move. With weakened attacks, they couldn’t take down Morgana in a short time either.
This world’s divine bodies were something else. Without destruction power or targeted god-slaying weapons, it required more powerful attacks to repeatedly damage them.
Of course, it might also relate to the type of divine body. Anyway, Morgana’s divine body wasn’t easy to deal with—as seen from March 7th slashing it open multiple times only for it to recover instantly.
To deal with Morgana quickly, even if Welt controlled the attack’s destructive range, the power would still be enough to destroy half the city where Superdimension Academy was located.
That kind of attack couldn’t be defended by Stelle’s preservation power, and it would cause at least hundreds of thousands of casualties.
Obviously, Welt wouldn’t do that.
Seeing Morgana about to escape, Welt finally moved.
“Gravity torrent!”
Countless black rays followed Morgana through the wormhole. Some that didn’t make it before it closed flew toward the sky and were dispelled by Welt.
Demon wings. Morgana’s form reassembled.
“Your Majesty, how are your injuries?” A demon asked with concern.
“Are you blind? Look at…” Morgana’s face darkened as she was about to curse.
Welt’s gravity torrent had already struck Morgana’s waist.
“Boom!”
A terrifying explosion rang out on the demon wings, instantly destroying half of them.
Except for Suo Dun, all ordinary demons at the explosion’s center were destroyed, and those on the edges were badly damaged.
“Wha… what’s going on? It hurts so much, it’s killing me.” Suo Dun, covered in wounds, groaned on the ground.
“Suo… Suo Dun.” Morgana’s feeble voice sounded.
Suo Dun looked toward the voice and saw Morgana, with only her upper body left, pinned under rubble.
“Sis, what did you do? What terrifying thing did you provoke?” Suo Dun crawled up, walked to Morgana’s side, and said with lingering fear.
“First help sis up. Energy consumption was too high in that instant, all energy is going to repair the divine body. I can’t move much.” Morgana said weakly.
“Oh, oh. Sis, this… can it heal?” Suo Dun cleared the rubble, lifted Morgana by the shoulders, and set her upper body aside.
“Don’t worry, it’s just a bit too powerful. Not god-slaying weapons, so it’ll recover soon. Help sis with something else—find my lower half.” Morgana said.
“How do I find it?” Suo Dun looked at the rubble.
“Can’t you smell baozi? The most fragrant one must be sis’s limb.” Morgana said.
“Got it, leave it to me.” Suo Dun took two deep sniffs, then trotted to a distant pile of rubble and started digging.
Sniff sniff.
So fragrant, really want to take a bite.
Suo Dun held Morgana’s leg, drooling from his mouth.
“No, this is my sis.” Suo Dun shook his head vigorously, wiped his saliva, and placed the leg back beside Morgana.
A hint of relief appeared in Morgana’s eyes, then she frowned at the severed leg.
Looks like her waist was completely destroyed. She didn’t have Kaisa that bitch’s sacred body that could recover even from atoms. She’d have to regrow it.
Just thinking of the resources it’d consume made Morgana’s heart ache.
“Where’s the other leg?” Morgana said.
“I smell it, going to dig now.”
Morgana looked at the damaged demon wings. Repairing them required resources, and her divine body recovery needed resources too. The demons themselves were dirt poor, so she had to contact Karl.
“Liang Bing, it’s rare for you to contact me first. How’s it going? Resolved?” Karl’s soft voice sounded.
Morgana took a deep breath: “Karl, you XXX, %*IHJR%$^&I, H&*%%#TYG, FIUT&*TGY…”
“Liang Bing, you… got that time of the month?” Karl hadn’t hung up the whole time. Only after Morgana paused did he ask calmly.
“Came to your mom! You *@¥#&&…%¥*…¥%#&(*(JHY)…”
“So what exactly happened?” Karl waited for Morgana to stop again before asking with a frown.
“What exactly is Meng Huaifeng that you sent me after? You said unknown civilization—what unknown civilization is this?” Morgana calmed slightly and asked irritably.
“I don’t know either. The Great Clock can’t calculate them.” Karl said.
“You didn’t know and still sent me? Do you know each of them has the strength of a civilization main god? One might even be stronger than Kaisa that bitch. I almost didn’t come back—do you know that?! You bastard, were you trying to use them to get rid of me?” Morgana asked furiously.
“I know now. Liang Bing, you know I wouldn’t harm you. We’re the closest allies…”
“Get lost! Who the hell is your closest ally? I hate your effeminate attitude the most. Now my divine body is severely damaged. I need at least two… five upgrades’ worth of divine body resources to recover. And my demon wings are mostly destroyed too—give me five sets of resources for manufacturing celestial computers.” Morgana demanded bluntly.
Karl’s mouth twitched. Helplessly, he said, “Angels are surveilling me tightly. I haven’t even left the Styx Galaxy much. Where would I get that many resources?”
“Don’t give me that. Who don’t I know better than you? I took this loss to help you. Dare say no, and believe me, I’ll drop that plan and come after you myself.” Morgana said.
“I can give you two portions each at most, just for repairs. You won’t need that much.”
“Five portions!”
In the end, Karl only agreed to three. Seeing she couldn’t squeeze more, Morgana had to let it go.
…
“Wow, you’re all too amazing. Even this goddess at full strength might not beat the demon queen, and you made her flee in such a sorry state in less than a minute.” Lana exclaimed, looking at the unscathed three.
She even suspected that one-on-one, these three could still beat Morgana.
“Too bad she still got away.” Meng Huaifeng sighed.
Being able to escape from Kaisa’s hands repeatedly, she really wasn’t easy to kill.
Top-tier space technology, moral binding to innocent lives, and the attitude of slipping away without hesitation when the situation turned bad—all were Morgana’s capital for hopping around to this day.
“She targeted me—why? Pisses me off!” Stelle said indignantly.
Except at the start when the demon claws split one to attack Meng Huaifeng, afterward they all attacked Stelle.
Especially after Morgana was accidentally hit by March 7th, the two demon claws overloaded their attacks on Stelle. Otherwise, Stelle wouldn’t have only hit Morgana twice with the bat.
It could be said Stelle faced 80% of Morgana’s combat power, while March 7th and Meng Huaifeng split the remaining 10%.
“Isn’t that what you as a pathfinder of preservation should do?” March 7th said as a matter of course.
“Great taunting, I outputted very satisfyingly.” Meng Huaifeng gave Stelle a thumbs up.
“I want to output too. My output is strong too.” Stelle said aggrievedly. She wanted to output satisfyingly too.
“Who made you the biggest threat? Of course she’d target you.” Meng Huaifeng patted Stelle’s shoulder.
“That’s true.” Stelle nodded.
“Though your effective output wasn’t much, you’re still the undisputed MVP in my heart.” Meng Huaifeng said seriously.
()
Stelle looked at Meng Huaifeng like this: You’re not wrong, but it stings!
Superdimension Academy urgently held a meeting.
“Didn’t expect their strength to be this strong. The infamous demon queen of the universe couldn’t even last a minute.” Du Kao sighed. Any little schemes he had instantly vanished.
“With their help, Blue Star will definitely get through this crisis.” A general said gratefully.
“Don’t forget, they’ll stay on Blue Star for at most a year or so. After that, we’ll have to rely on ourselves.” Du Kao reminded.
“In this time, how far can Xiong Bing Lian’s super warriors grow?” Elder Huang asked.
“Leader, under their training, the super warriors’ growth speed is about three times faster than we expected. In half a year, the strongest two can achieve third generation divine bodies.” Du Kao reported.

Setting Kaisa’s combat power as a clear tier above, similar to Himeko and Welt. Morgana without space technology can only last a few minutes or less in Kaisa’s hands. Considering tech gods have tech suppression effects between them, but destiny system and tech system have no suppression, so Morgana is in the same tier as current March 7th and Stelle. Should be fine… right?
