Chapter 115: Moon Rabbit Hometown Dining Room
The armor golem cast from steel had metal armor on its body gleaming with a faint cyan luster. When it raised the great axe, an invisible nature aura spread out, making several students tremble in fear.
“Sorry, senior female student, we can only deliver the things here.” Toya and the others spoke awkwardly.
Xilutiya shook her head, “This isn’t your fault, just stop here.”
After saying that, she used both hands together to lift the heavy suitcase and slowly walked toward the two golems blocking the way.
When she approached, the badge worn on her chest emitted a glow, and the two tall golems stepped aside, allowing her to pass.
Toya and the others stood at the bottom of the staircase, enviously watching the silver-haired figure step by step up the stairs, pass through the large golems about three meters tall, and disappear around the corner of the third-floor stairs.
“Those who obtain the forest badge are true geniuses guaranteed and recognized by the assessors. It’s said that among the people who pass the third trial, only one out of every five gets a badge.”
“Yeah, our country seems to have only one, the heir of Duke Blue Sparrow, senior male student Mid.”
“Wearing that badge means dining in Camel City without spending money, which is enviable enough, and having an exclusive bedroom room is even more jealousy-inducing.” As they spoke, two girls discussed in low voices.
“Alright, let’s head back.” Toya called to the others.
“If we meet that senior female student next time, we should introduce ourselves to her, so we’ll have a backer in the woodland later.”
……
Although addressed as senior female student, Xilutiya’s appearance looked much younger than the others. Now half a year had passed, her height hadn’t changed, her slender figure was well-maintained, with a waist curved like the moon and an exceptionally light and agile posture. If she used the breathing technique, she could also erupt with astonishing power.
After reaching the third floor, the maiden set down the suitcase in her hand and looked around in slight surprise at the incredibly spacious corridor, filled everywhere with luxurious decorations. The carpet was woven from golden wool, and the walls hung with exquisite paintings depicting scenery from various parts of the continent.
On both sides of such a corridor, there was a door every nearly ten meters. Some doors were tightly locked with names written on them, while the plaques on others were still empty, probably unoccupied.
Passing through the long corridor, she occasionally passed a silver mirror, which clearly reflected the maiden’s profile. She walked inside and found a door with no neighbors, relatively quiet, and pushed it open to enter.
The dormitory here was similar to the apartment residence from Xilutiya’s previous life, with an area of about 160 square meters, including an independent bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, study room, bathroom, meditation room, and more—everything one could need.
After setting down the suitcase, Xilutiya took out the potted swan orchid and placed it in the bedroom, an invisible floral fragrance spreading and purifying the surrounding air.
Then, she sat on the soft white bedding, her body bouncing slightly before settling down.
Feeling the softness and comfort of the mattress, Xilutiya lay down, her body and mind relaxing greatly.
The room was very quiet, with no one walking in the corridor outside to disturb, but on the table in the living room stood a wooden plaque with the daily cleaning time written on it, as well as the function of shaking the bell.
『You may shake the bell three times a day to summon a maid for cleaning, preparing food, washing clothes, changing bedsheets and covers, etc.』
『Daily meal times are 6-9 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and 6-8 p.m. Dining with a badge is free; after the time, please summon a maid to prepare separately.』
『If you need food delivered to the room, please inform the maid in advance, and it will be brought during the next meal time.』
『Furniture in the room may be used normally. If severely damaged, it can be replaced once for free.』
『The ‘calming incense’ in the meditation room is replenished every three days; please use it sparingly.』
After checking the instructions on the wooden plaque, Xilutiya remembered something. She returned to the door, inserted the key into the lock, and soon a special pattern spread from the keyhole, followed by a click.
When she took the key out again, a line of text appeared on the handle of the key【Third Floor Room 22】
What a special key. The maiden felt very novel about it. Trying to open the door with the key, it indeed turned easily, but after removing the key, it wouldn’t open again.
She hung the key on the inside of her clothes, and Xilutiya glanced at the clock in the living room, which now showed 12:14 p.m.
Time to go eat something, or it’ll be past the time soon.
She walked out the door, locked it, and went down the staircase again.
After arriving at the hall on the fifth floor, she glanced at the somewhat sparse hall and continued down the stairs to the seventh floor below, which was much livelier.
The hall had about sixty square tables, with various windows on both sides displaying different foods. Some waiters busily served them out to the approaching students.
They used the rings on their wrists to receive food. Some plain bread and clear water were directly free, but roasted chickens, steaks, and such required extra payment.
Besides the hall’s canteen, there were several corridors on the side leading to different dining rooms, each with distinct signs and unique culinary styles inside.
Xilutiya wasn’t in a hurry and curiously walked into one corridor to tour the restaurants along the way.
Most of these restaurants served human food, with a small portion specialized for alien races, such as insect food for lizardmen, toad sub-humans, and bird-wing sub-humans; hay for minotaurs, sheep-headed ones, centaurs, etc.; and some with special styles offering blood beverages and clean dew shops, probably exclusives for rare races.
Among the students, about 80% were humans, with only 20% other alien sub-species. Relationships between the two sides varied wildly—some hostile to humans, others rubbing shoulders with them.
Passing a restaurant, Xilutiya saw a tall lizardman holding several human companions drinking, emitting hissing laughter.
Finally, she stopped in front of a forest-style shop. This restaurant had a serene environment, with doors naturally shielded by plants. As she approached, the branches and leaves on both sides automatically rolled up, making way.
After entering the shop, Xilutiya saw many hanging orange small lamps. Some students sat sporadically in the dining room. Notably, most had pointed ears—they were elves, rare on this continent—with a few humans.
“Hello~ Are you here to dine?” A rabbit-eared maid in light-colored cute attire appeared in front of Xilutiya.
She had cream-gold hair, about the same height as Xilutiya, wearing a black-and-white uniform somewhat like a maid outfit.
“Yes, I saw the notice in the room that this allows free dining, right?” She showed the badge on her clothes.
Seeing the badge on Xilutiya, this moon rabbit maid nodded vigorously.
“That’s right, it’s free. Just press the badge on the bill after dining to mark it.”
“Welcome to ‘Moon Rabbit Hometown Dining Room’~”
