After going to sea with Father, Yun Jiao brought back quite a few large shrimp, crabs, and delicious fish from the sea.
As she became more agile and faster in the sea, she discovered a new skill.
Singing could attract some fish, and then those unlucky ones that were big and delicious were caught by her.
Saying farewell to the orca, today was another fulfilling day.
Apart from what needed to be sold and what they would eat themselves, more was to be given to others.
Returning home, Yun Jiao ran into the kitchen carrying a large shrimp that was as long as her arm.
“Mom, cook this for me, I want to eat this large shrimp.”
With their family’s improved conditions, Shen Yunlian and Wang Mei now occasionally went tide pooling.
The two of them discussed buying two pigs to raise, and they were very proactive and had already made arrangements.

Lost in thought, she fell asleep.

The Cat Leader had somehow appeared beside her and was lying there.

But it didn’t shed much, and the Cat Leader’s agility was still excellent.
This fellow particularly liked to emerge from somewhere and snuggle up to her when she slept.
In fact, the two dogs also liked to snuggle up to her, but they had grown too big; the small lounge chair simply couldn’t fit them.
Yun Jiao’s body always felt cool when the weather was hot, and this morning was the coolest.
That’s why the furry cats and dogs all liked to snuggle up to her because it was very comfortable.

Father and Mother were not home, likely out working.

The two dogs wagged their tails and diligently herded the poultry.
The large white goose led the way, leaving home along a familiar path to find food in a familiar place.
By late afternoon, as it started to get dark, even without the two dogs, the large white goose would lead the chickens and ducks back, waddling along.
The two dogs served to deter petty thieves, as there were people who stole chickens in the village.
Finally, Yun Jiao fed the family’s rabbits.
The original two rabbits at home were black and white; the white one was the female.
Yun Jiao would sometimes take the two rabbits to wander in the mountains and woods.
At some point, the white rabbit became pregnant.
Before anyone knew it, she gave birth to a litter of little rabbits.

“This cage is almost full.”
Fortunately, the plot of land they had chosen was spacious, and the rabbit cages were placed separately near the bamboo forest.
Now, there were already three rabbit cages at home, rectangular in shape, about two meters long.
And each cage contained about a dozen rabbits.
“These little ones reproduce so quickly. Tomorrow, we’ll take a few to your aunt and the others; our family can’t eat them all.”

After feeding the rabbits, Yun Jiao rode her small cart, with the Cat Leader, and roamed around.
When Yun Linhai returned, he brought the large shrimp and bundled crabs, borrowed a foam box with ice from Uncle A’wang, and put in a coral trout and a green wrasse.
“Let’s go, Jiaojiao, to find your Master and Grandpa Gu.”
Yun Jiao obediently responded, her hair tied into a beautiful little braided pigtail, and she was lifted onto the back seat of the motorcycle.
Yun Linhai held the handlebars, and the engine roared to life.
They greeted the people sitting under the tree by the village entrance simply and continued on their way.
People of all ages at the village entrance craned their necks, and many eyes held envy.
“How much money do you think Lin Hai’s family has made? Yunlian and Wang Mei rarely go tide pooling anymore.”
“More than that, their family has put on weight. I see those two brothers riding motorcycles out every day.”

Even though the boys weren’t home, people still sought out Shen Yunlian, wanting to get closer to them in hopes of establishing a connection with the two sons later.
If they were to marry into Yun Linhai’s family, their future would surely be good.
