Chapter 127: Sometimes People Still Need To Face Their Own Mistakes
“The second generation Family Head’s Electabuzz also tried splitting pebbles, but in the end, it couldn’t make a statue as majestic as the first generation Family Head’s Dragonite, and it couldn’t even split out its own rough shape.”
Lilia appeared behind Pikachu at some point without anyone knowing.
Zuo Hang was not in the courtyard.
“The Dragonite at the Alsteria Family doorway was split out by a Thunder; this is just a legend, you don’t need to take it seriously.” Lilia picked up Pikachu and skillfully rubbed his belly. “The second generation Family Head is stronger than the first generation, but the second generation couldn’t split a stone statue, so splitting stone statues isn’t some particularly powerful skill.”
“Pika~chu~~”
The Electric Mouse let out an unusual moan because it felt too comfortable.
This technique feels better than Hang Hang’s.
Dragonite was also fluffy before it evolved, and petting it felt even more comfortable than the Electric Mouse.
But after evolution, Mareep has no fur. No way around it; power always comes at a cost.
“The Little White Dragon your trainer mentioned, can I see it?” Lilia asked the Pikachu in her arms.
“Pika~Pika~Pika~chu~!!”
“Hmm? What are you saying?” Lilia was puzzled.
The Electric Mouse casually “Pika’d” a few times, saying something even it didn’t know.
Summoning a Little White Dragon is simple, but it needs Zuo Hang’s agreement.
Hang Hang is always scheming; acting casually might disrupt the plan.
While Pikachu was thinking about how to fool Lilia, it suddenly caught sight of Zuo Hang on the second floor of the villa out of the corner of its eye; he was looking out the window.
Their gazes met. The Electric Mouse instantly had an idea.
“Pika? Pikachu!( I see! This is within your calculations too, isn’t it? As expected of my trainer!)”
A large patch of dark clouds appeared over the Castle without warning.
The Alsteria Family servants were busy as usual. The element represented by Pride is electricity; every servant here is an extremely skilled Electric-type Pokémon trainer, more than familiar with this skill.
This is Thunder; it must be the Young Lady practicing in the plaza.
Judging by the density of these dark clouds, Dragonite’s strength seems to have regressed a bit.
The image of Reshiram in Pikachu’s memory gradually coalesced in the dark clouds.
He wasn’t very familiar with this Pokémon, having only seen it in some movies with awesome special effects.
The image simulated with lightning didn’t need to be too accurate, but considering Zuo Hang’s gaze, the Electric Mouse tried its best to make “Reshiram” align with how he perceived it.
Zuo Hang upstairs looked at “Reshiram” in the dark clouds and fell into deep thought.
Pikachu suddenly ran off without a word; Zuo Hang looked around but didn’t find the Electric Mouse, so he turned his gaze downstairs.
I glance at you once, and you suddenly Thunder.
What does that mean? Do you have a problem with me?
Zuo Hang scratched his head.
Could it be that Pikachu has been harboring resentment toward him for a long time and just hasn’t found the trigger to explode?
Things are getting bad!
To restore Reshiram’s true form as much as possible, Pikachu deliberately used pale lightning.
In Zuo Hang’s World, the White Dragon that favors those who pursue the truth poked its head out from the dark clouds.
The moment “Reshiram” appeared, Lilia felt something in her body being drawn; the body forged from lightning stared at Lilia. The girl spread her arms, as if expecting the Dragon of Arrogance to devour her.
However, the Pokémon forged from lightning had no soul and lacked the ability to devour.
Under Pikachu’s control, Reshiram circled the Castle once, then dove back into the dark clouds, the pale lightning slowly dissipating in the cloud layer.
Lilia suddenly snapped back to reality, her body frozen, seemingly startled by her own actions just now.
Zuo Hang on the second floor noticed this scene.
Pikachu didn’t have a problem with him, which relieved Zuo Hang; they had originally planned to discuss life with Pikachu that evening, but now it seemed that had been a misunderstanding.
Lilia reacting to a soulless illusory Pokémon was suspicious.
Lilia’s gaze just now was a bit manic; Zuo Hang couldn’t help but wonder if “Reshiram” had lingered longer, whether she would have rushed straight into the lightning.
“The Seven Sins spread their power around the world through projections; wherever there is a projection, the power of Sin can be transmitted.” The butler in the tailcoat stood respectfully behind Zuo Hang.
“No one knows what the true forms of the Seven Sins look like; their images left in the world are extremely rare. The closer the projection is to the true body, the stronger the power humans or Pokémon gain from Sin.” Zuo Hang continued the butler’s words.
Spreading power through projections was a method Zuo Hang had never heard of before.
Lilia reacting to the illusion of “Reshiram” proved that the true body of the Dragon of Arrogance was indeed a Pokémon extremely similar to Reshiram, or perhaps the Dragon of Arrogance was Reshiram from another world.
“Butler.” Zuo Hang said.
“Here.” The butler replied respectfully.
“What’s the difference between Electric-type Pokémon that receive Pride’s favor and ordinary ones?”
“The Alsteria Family’s Dragonite has base stats of 600, but ordinary Dragonite only has 510. After Mega Evolution, the base stats rise to 720, while ordinary Mega Dragonite only has 610.”
The butler continued: “It’s not just base stats; skill power changes too. It’s said that ultimate Pride lightning is pure black, boosting skill power by around four times.”
“Black electricity? Isn’t that Zeraora?”
“Zeraora? Is that a Pokémon’s name?”
“.”
Zeraora’s signature Plasma Fist unleashes black lightning, but… the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora seems to not exist in this world.
“Yeah, it was the name of a mischievous kid I had before.” Zuo Hang made up a reason offhand.
“Mischievous Kid… Hmm… Feels like that name doesn’t suit him much. A former Pokémon… so that means… now it’s already”
“Not anymore.”
“If it’s inconvenient, you don’t have to tell me the reason.”
“Since you said that, you must be curious. Actually, it’s not something that can’t be said. My reasons play a big part, but mostly it was a personality clash.”
“No, I don’t think that’s the reason.” The butler’s eyes showed a hint of wisdom. “Feels like you’re deliberately avoiding that matter. Sometimes people need to face their own mistakes head-on. The past can’t be mended, but the future can be salvaged.”
“.”
Zuo Hang fell silent.
“I get it. I’ve never avoided my mistakes, but some things can’t be measured by right and wrong.”
The butler smiled and stepped back slightly; he saw that Zuo Hang wanted to go downstairs and was making way.
“You’re a very adamant person.” Zuo Hang left the room, but the butler remained in place. He stated this in a declarative tone.
Zuo Hang stopped. “You read people pretty well, better than that sunglasses-wearing guy in black. The only thing adamant about me is something I can’t deny myself.”
