Chapter 181: Teddy Bear
“Jiang Ning” incredulously widened her eyes, pointing at Jiang Yan: “Dad, Mom, I don’t recognize this scum as my younger brother. Aren’t I your favorite? Why do you care about him?”
“Jiang Ning” had tears in her eyes, looking at Madam Jiang with some grievance: “Mom, you’re not allowed to care about him. I don’t allow it, I don’t allow it!”
Madam Jiang’s hand that was about to comfort Jiang Yan stiffened. She looked at “Jiang Ning,” with some confusion in her eyes. It was still the same face, but something had imperceptibly changed.
“Jiang Ning” had a ruthless glint in her eyes. That bitch—who the hell wanted her to be a saintly mother and accept Jiang Yan this bastard child? And that bitch Jiang Li too. The Jiang Family only needed one person to be pampered, and that was her.
She bit her lip, threw off the quilt, and ran outside: “Fine, if he’s here, then I’m not. I’ll go die right now!”
Madam Jiang finally came back to her senses, her eyes full of panic. She chased after “Jiang Ning”: “Ning Ning, Mom will listen to you. Don’t do anything stupid.”
Father Jiang didn’t chase after her, but instead called the doctor and took Jiang Yan to bandage the wound on his forehead, which had been split open by a cup thrown by “Jiang Ning.”
“What the hell is going on? Why did she suddenly become like this?”
Jiang Yan silently let the medical staff tend to him.
Only upon close inspection could one see the terror in his pupils, his body trembling faintly along with it.
He clenched his teeth tightly, memories from the past slowly emerging.
That selfish and willful Jiang Ning seemed to have come back…
She had come back…
Then where was his older sister?
Where was she?
Father Jiang received a call from Madam Jiang saying that “Jiang Ning” was going to jump off the building.
He anxiously stopped caring about Jiang Yan and went along to persuade Jiang Ning.
After Jiang Yan finished bandaging, he returned to “Jiang Ning’s” hospital room.
Waiting for them to come back.
The hospital room door was opened.
Father Jiang and Madam Jiang ushered “Jiang Ning” inside.
“Jiang Ning” was like a spoiled little princess, her expression arrogant and smug as she pointed at Jiang Yan: “I don’t want to see him in the Jiang Family anymore. Make him get lost.”
Father Jiang wanted to say something, but Madam Jiang tugged at his sleeve: “Let’s listen to Ning Ning…”
Father Jiang sighed and said to Jiang Yan: “You go back to Jin Cheng first. We’ll come back in a couple of days.”
Jiang Yan gave “Jiang Ning” a deep look, then left without a word.
He happened to run into Xie Jingyan rushing over at the hospital entrance.
Jiang Yan stopped him: “Don’t go…”
Xie Jingyan looked at him puzzled and said in a deep voice: “Get out of the way.”
Jiang Yan pursed his lips and finally stepped aside, watching Xie Jingyan run inside.
His eyes were filled with sadness.
Meanwhile, Jiang Ning didn’t follow Xie Jingyan but stayed by Jiang Yan’s side.
Jiang Ning saw Jiang Yan’s expression and more or less understood.
Because of that explosion, her soul had been ejected, and the original “Jiang Ning” had come back.
Whether she was a soul created by the world consciousness or being controlled, Jiang Ning couldn’t return for the time being.
Jiang Ning looked at Jiang Yan’s forehead, wrapped in gauze with faint red seeping through.
She reached out to touch it, but her hand passed through Jiang Yan’s body again.
She softly asked: “Does it hurt?”
Jiang Yan walked past her without acknowledging.
Jiang Ning felt somewhat worried, sensing that the situation ahead would be very chaotic.
She oriented herself and skipped the elevator, floating straight up.
Not far away came arguing and the crying of a little girl.
Jiang Ning didn’t go looking for Xie Jingyan but went toward the source of the sound.
“Wah wah wah, my teddy bear…”
She passed through the crowd and saw a teddy bear doll that had been torn apart on the hospital corridor.
Xie He wiped her tears and squatted on the ground picking up the fallen white stuffing, stuffing the cotton with her little hands into the torn teddy bear doll.
And standing in front of Xie He was none other than “Jiang Ning.”
She had already changed into an exquisite white princess dress, with a short white down jacket over it. She looked at the crying Xie He with eyes full of disgust. Seeing her still trying to pick it up, a malicious smile hung on her lips, noticing the IV needle on the back of her hand.
She directly kicked it.
The teddy bear mixed with bright red blood scattered on the floor.
Jiang Ning anxiously lunged forward: “Don’t!”
“Xiao He!”
Her voice and Xie Jingyan’s rang out at the same time.
But Jiang Ning passed through Xie He’s body, while Xie Jingyan steadily caught Xie He.
He hurriedly checked the back of Xie He’s hand, because “Jiang Ning’s” kick had hit right there, causing the IV needle to loosen, blood seeping from her skin.
Xie Jingyan hurriedly pressed down on the wound with his hand for Xie He.
Due to the intense emotional fluctuation, Xie He’s face rapidly paled. She grabbed Xie Jingyan’s hand, her eyes red and brimming with tears: “Brother, the teddy bear… that was a gift from Sister Ning… wah wah wah.”
Xie Jingyan’s eyelashes trembled slightly, his voice tense: “Xiao He, don’t cry. I’ll get the teddy bear back for you.”
The torn teddy bear doll was kicked by “Jiang Ning” right to Xie Jingyan’s feet.
Her exquisite little leather shoes clicked on the floor.
Xie Jingyan looked up, meeting “Jiang Ning’s” disgusted yet smug expression.
“A dirty, broken doll like that would only be treasured by a poor wretch like you.”
“Jiang Ning” mocked.
Xie Jingyan looked at the familiar brows and eyes, somewhat dazed. Because of the domineering expression, the person in front of him seemed especially mean.
He looked at the crying Xie He and the messy floor, still somewhat in disbelief.
Xie Jingyan called out: “Jiang Ning…”
The person in front of him frowned, disgust undisguised on her face. “Jiang Ning” was arrogant and overbearing: “What the hell are you to call my name directly? Xie Jingyan, while I’m in a good mood, take your sister and get lost.”
Xie Jingyan only asked: “You hit Xiao He?”
“Jiang Ning” smiled smugly: “Yeah, I did. Who let her block my way? Since she’s dying anyway, she should lie in her hospital bed. Who allowed her to block my path and call me sister? Ha, what a lowly thing, daring to try to cozy up to me.”
Xie Jingyan’s hand suddenly clenched tight, his expression full of disbelief: “Jiang Ning… you…”
Before he could finish, his left cheek was slapped hard. “Jiang Ning’s” delicate face was full of malice. She shook her hand and curled her lip: “Don’t call my name! Xie Jingyan, the matter between us isn’t over.”
She gave Xie He a meaningful look and grinned: “I’ve thought of another fun game.”
Then, as if just remembering, she said: “I need to go find Lan Li Gege. I won’t play with you for now.”
Xie Jingyan’s left cheek was somewhat numb. He stared blankly at “Jiang Ning’s” departing back view, suppressing the urge to chase after her and demand answers.
Because right now, his sister was more important.
Sui Qingshan arrived just in time. Seeing Xie He’s weak body, he took her from Xie Jingyan’s arms, his expression agitated: “Quick, quick, to the operating room.”
The nurse panicked and pushed the stretcher cart, rushing Xie He into the operating room at full speed.
