Chapter 138: Troubles Resolved Instantly
As Athena sat in the garden, Andrei walked over from a distance.
Athena re-examined her relationship with Andrei. They were not siblings, yet they interacted like they were. He had always been her superior, but sometimes he would indulge her decisions. Athena didn’t know what past connection she had with Andrei, but for the past five years, he had been a presence in her world like family.
As he approached, Athena stood up and awkwardly greeted him, “Good morning, General Manager!”
Andrei sighed, glanced at Athena, then looked into the distance and said faintly, “I apologize. What I did just now was purely to prevent things from being blown out of proportion!”
Athena looked down at her toes. “I should be the one apologizing. It was my oversight, my own negligence that disregarded the hotel’s reputation. But, Andrei, a star-rated hotel is no better than this if such trash comments are allowed!”
Andrei turned to face Athena and said, “It’s good that you understand. Don’t overthink it. Let’s go back; there seems to be a problem with the VIP section!”
Athena looked at Andrei with a furrowed brow, wanting to say something, but ultimately held back and left.
She thought, since Andrei cared so much for her, he must know about her past. Then, could he explain why she felt such a familiar feeling upon seeing Ji Xiangyu?
She walked back to the hotel, thinking all the way. As soon as she entered, she heard the VIP customer service staff anxiously pacing. She walked over and asked, “What happened?”
Upon seeing Athena, Wu Qing rushed over as if she had found a lifesaver, crying, “Chief Assistant, a VIP guest just said they lost a yellow sticky note with important customer numbers on it. Most importantly, our staff just cleaned the room, and now the VIP guest is furious!”
Athena’s intuition told her something was suspicious, and she immediately said, “Take me to see the situation!”
When they arrived at the VIP guest’s room, Athena saw the female customer smashing a water cup on the floor as soon as she entered.
Seeing Athena enter in different clothes, she immediately started cursing, “Is this really a five-star hotel? Why is the service so bad, and no one has found it yet!”
Athena observed the surroundings. There were nail polish bottles of different colors on the table, and the customer had toe separators on her feet, clearly waiting for her nail polish to dry.
She immediately understood something. “May I ask what item the customer has lost?”
The female customer said angrily and loudly, “A phone number, written on a sticky note, a number of an important client. That’s a billion-dollar business, can you afford to compensate for it?”
Athena asked the customer service representative who was being scolded, “Did you see that sticky note when you were cleaning?”
The customer service representative recalled, “I think I saw one on the TV stand. But it seemed to have chewing gum stuck to it!”
“Hey, it’s a billion-dollar business, what are you talking about chewing gum? You don’t need to lie like this to shirk responsibility!”
“Guest, I didn’t~~~~~”
“Enough, I’m calling the police!”
Athena calmly looked at the female customer and said, “Guest, you seem very anxious about that business deal?”
The female customer looked at Athena unhappily and yelled, “Hey, who do you think you are? When is it your turn to question me? If you don’t find that sticky note today, I’ll leak this to the media about your hotel’s trash service!”
Athena smiled slightly at the female customer and said, “Guest, I’m just curious. With such a huge business deal gone missing, you still have the mood to apply nail polish. But don’t worry, we will help you find that sticky note!”
The female customer was so choked by Athena’s words that she had nothing to say and immediately said awkwardly, “Hurry up and go~~~~~”
After everyone left, Athena said to the customer service representative, “Stop looking. Go get a notepad, write down some numbers on it. This woman is just here to cause trouble. There’s no billion-dollar business at all; she’s just spouting nonsense, probably wanting a free room or something!”
The customer service representative asked with a displeased expression, “Will I get scolded for doing this?”
Athena gave the female customer service representative a reassuring smile and said, “Don’t worry, this will be handled. Just do as I say!”
The female customer service representative, still half-doubting, followed the instructions!
As Athena left, she encountered Ji Xiangyu in the elevator. Just as she was contemplating whether to get in, Ji Xiangyu said, “Chief Assistant, aren’t you coming in?”
Athena then stepped in. But the moment the elevator doors closed, she regretted it. The narrow elevator was filled with Ji Xiangyu’s breath, making her very uncomfortable!
Ji Xiangyu spoke, “Chief Assistant seems very afraid of me!”
Athena looked up and met Ji Xiangyu’s playful eyes. Her face immediately turned as red as a Fuji apple, and she stammered, unable to speak, “I. . . I’m not~~~~~”
