Chapter 197: I didn’t want to do anything, just sleep!
Ji Xiangyu’s warm breath sprayed onto Athena’s face: “I didn’t want to do anything, just look at you properly before sleeping!” He smiled very gently, intently looking at every detail on Athena’s face. Five years had changed quite a bit!
He reached out, first gently stroking Athena’s hair, then kissing her gently, and softly asked, “Why did your hair color turn golden? Did you dye it?”
Athena shook her head under Ji Xiangyu: “It was already golden. What color was it before?”
Ji Xiangyu pondered Athena’s words about “before.” Did she accept that she was Qing Tian now?

After speaking, he walked to the balcony and started making a telephone call: “Assistant Che, how are things with the small shareholders?”
Assistant Che was currently with Xia Yang and Bruce, persuading the small shareholders. She received Ji Xiangyu’s call and smiled, “Chairman, are you alright? The Chief Assistant said you were unwell?!”
Ji Xiangyu casually replied, “I’m fine for now. How are things with the small shareholders?”
Assistant Che smiled and said, “It’s all handled, no need to worry, Chairman. Please take care of yourself and rest!”
Ji Xiangyu was still very worried about Director Bai: “We need to hurry. Director Bai cannot be dealt with, but if we can handle the small shareholders and combine that with the shares I hold, and perhaps persuade other directors, there might still be a glimmer of hope!”
Assistant Che nodded: “Chairman, your analysis is very accurate. I will go to Director Guo’s house with the General Manager later. He has always opposed Director Bai, so perhaps starting there would be better!”
Ji Xiangyu agreed with Assistant Che’s view. He sighed and looked back at Athena. She was still asleep, so he couldn’t speak loudly: “Then you proceed as planned. Give me the latest report when I come to work tomorrow!”
Assistant Che said uneasily, “Chairman, Director Situ seems to be making other moves!”
Ji Xiangyu’s heart tightened: “Oh? Have you found out what he’s up to?!”
It suddenly became very noisy on Assistant Che’s end, with sounds of fighting. The call was suddenly hung up!
A busy tone echoed!
Ji Xiangyu clenched the phone in his hand tightly. What happened?
After much thought, he dialed his subordinate: “Go and investigate what happened to Assistant Che and the others.”
He felt agitated. So many troublesome matters had piled up recently, making him feel stifled. However, thinking that Qing Tian had returned to his side gave him the best support!
Just as he was feeling helpless about the events of this period, a pair of slender hands hugged him tightly from behind, and a small head rested on his back. A spoiled, cute voice asked, “Why aren’t you sleeping with me?”
His heart warmed, and he gently placed his hand over Athena’s: “Why are you awake? Did I disturb you?”
Athena shook her head from behind: “You weren’t here, so I couldn’t sleep peacefully.”
Ji Xiangyu’s lips curved. He turned around and scooped Athena, the Qing Tian princess, into his arms and carried her back to the hospital bed. “Since you’re awake, let’s do some healthy exercise for mind and body!”
Athena was stunned and before she could react, she was thrown onto the bed!
The next second, Ji Xiangyu pinned her down. Ji Xiangyu smiled and said, “I won’t let you run away. Once you have a baby, you’ll never be able to run away!”
Athena’s mind went blank. She wanted to ask why, but all her thoughts vanished in Ji Xiangyu’s gentle yet domineering kiss!
