Chapter 231: The Happiest Touch
Chapter Two Hundred Thirty-One: The Most Touching Happiness (2)
The dark wooden door slowly opened, and a woman in a gray suit was waiting at the doorway.
“Young Master Ji,” she said with a warm smile, and they shook hands.
“Miss Kelly,” Ji Xiangyu said politely.
Miss Kelly smiled at Qing Tian, extended her hand, and Qing Tian shook it. Qing Tian clearly saw Miss Kelly’s expression of “He’s so handsome, I really want to be with him.”
A question arose in Qing Tian’s mind: who was this woman? Just as she thought this, the woman named Kelly stepped aside, ushering Qing Tian and Ji Xiangyu into the house.
As soon as she entered, Qing Tian was surprised; the spacious house was empty… completely empty.
They were standing on a vast porch. The walls were a pale primrose yellow, with faint marks where paintings had once hung, and the light fixtures had been removed. The floor was solid hardwood. There were closed doors on every side, but Ji Xiangyu didn’t give Qing Tian time to be curious.
“Come,” he said, taking Qing Tian’s hand and leading her through the archway in front of them into a large foyer.
In the foyer was a magnificent spiral staircase, adorned with an intricate and ornate iron railing.
Ji Xiangyu didn’t stop, leading Qing Tian through the empty, vast living room. A large golden carpet was spread across the center of the living room—it was the largest carpet Qing Tian had ever seen.
Four crystal chandeliers were also hanging here…
They continued through the room and opened the French doors. Ji Xiangyu’s destination was clearly visible: a huge stone terrace.
Beneath their feet and stretching out before them was a lawn half the size of a football field, meticulously manicured. But what was even more captivating was the view…
Gazing into the distance, the beauty of this place was breathtaking—even astonishing.
The twilight by the seaside…
Unknown islands were scattered in the distance. Under a night sky as clear as crystal, the sun was slowly setting on the horizon, its fiery glow illuminating half the sky and reddening Olympic National Park under the sunset.
The afterglow of the sky scattered into multiple beams—pale yellow, sea blue, light green—mingling with small patches of deep purple clouds, illuminating the land by the water.
This was nature’s masterpiece, a visual echo of a beautiful symphony reflected in the water waves.
Qing Tian was completely captivated by the scenery… staring blankly… wanting to take in all this beauty.
Ji Xiangyu still held Qing Tian’s hand. Qing Tian almost held her breath. When she turned her head, Ji Xiangyu was gazing at her nervously.
“You brought me here just to see the view?” Qing Tian asked softly, a little foolishly.
Ji Xiangyu nodded, his expression very serious.
“It’s beautiful… Thank you,” Qing Tian said quietly, looking into the distance again.
“If I asked you to look at it for a lifetime, would you?” Ji Xiangyu asked in a low voice.
“What?”
Qing Tian turned her face to look at him in surprise, her mouth agape, staring at him foolishly.
“I’ve always wanted to live by the sea. Every time I went out to sea, I would look at this area. This place hasn’t been on the market for a long time. I want to buy it, tear it down, and build a new one, build a new one for us,” Ji Xiangyu said softly, his eyes shining with his hope, his dream…
Qing Tian was a little speechless. Could this be their future home?
Heaven. For some reason, Qing Tian felt an extraordinary sense of emotion. Ji Xiangyu had planned everything long ago! Qing Tian still tilted her head up, her heart trembling.
To live here! To live in this paradise on earth! She could hardly believe it!
“It’s just a concept for now,” Ji Xiangyu added cautiously.
Qing Tian turned her head, looking at the interior decoration. How much was this worth? It must be, forty or fifty million?
Qing Tian said softly, “Why do you want to tear it down?”
Ji Xiangyu hugged her from behind, kissed her hair, and said, “To build a home that belongs to us!”
The room was large, with double-height ceilings, and there was a balcony upstairs—presumably designed for the second-floor rooms. At the entrance to the terrace was a huge fireplace and exquisite French doors. The entire space exuded a vintage aesthetic.
Qing Tian felt an indescribable emotion, she could only hug Ji Xiangyu tightly, murmuring, “I think this is already very good. If we were to build, it would take a very long time!”
Ji Xiangyu smiled, “Okay, everything will be as you say, Mrs. Ji!”
Qing Tian smiled slightly, filled with a sense of happiness! It seemed the word “Mrs. Ji” sounded quite nice!
