Chapter 152: Sold And Still Trying To Help Count The Money
Little Mo Yan came to the kitchen and repeated the chat content between He Yingying and Li He’an to Jiang Yuan.
“Little Mo Yan, you’re amazing.” Jiang Yuan dried her wet hands and gently tapped Little Mo Yan’s head with her fingertips. “What you heard is very useful!”
“Really?” Little Mo Yan was very happy. “I’m glad I could help you!”
Jiang Yuan said with a smile, “You’ve helped me a lot!”
“Hehe.” Little Mo Yan smiled shyly.
Jiang Yuan handed the spatula to Jiang Die.
She went back to her room to get her mobile phone and edited the news brought by Little Mo Yan into text and sent it to Si Heng.
Jiang Yuan rarely saw Si Heng playing with his phone, but it was strange, every time she sent him a message, he would reply almost instantly, like now.
Si Heng: 【 Okay, I’ll arrange for personnel to stake out near He Yingying’s house now. 】
Jiang Yuan: 【 Okay. 】
Only two days were left until the weekend.
Si Heng arranged for personnel to take turns staking out.
On Friday night, it was Meng Xiaokai and Chen Ziqi’s turn. They saw her at the downstairs of He Yingying’s company carrying a large tote bag and getting into a taxi.
“She’s out,” Meng Xiaokai woke up Chen Ziqi, who was dozing, and started the car, following the taxi.
He Lewei and Xiao Xu were at the police station, monitoring He Yingying’s mobile communication data with colleagues from the technical investigation department.
News came from Meng Xiaokai’s side that He Yingying had met up with Li He’an and gotten into a black private car.
Xiao Xu immediately had someone check He Yingying’s communication data, then frowned, “From this afternoon until now, besides takeout, He Yingying hasn’t talked on the phone with anyone?”
“Li He’an isn’t contacting her by phone,” He Lewei frowned. “No wonder there’s no record of him calling from Jiang Yilan’s side.”
Xiao Xu asked suspiciously, “Did he contact her using WeChat?”
“This bastard is too cautious!” He Lewei gritted his teeth. “He knows that if WeChat chat history is deleted, it cannot be recovered or retrieved!”
Xiao Xu: “I’ll go and apply to monitor He Yingying’s WeChat now?”
He Lewei clenched his fist in annoyance. “There’s no time. He Yingying is with Li He’an now, and he will definitely find an excuse to delete the chat history on He Yingying’s WeChat.”
Si Heng happened to come over and heard their conversation. He immediately called Lou Qinglin, “The situation is urgent now. This chat history may become one of the strong pieces of evidence for suing Li He’an in the future…”
After hanging up the phone, he said solemnly, “The bureau chief has agreed to retrieve He Yingying’s WeChat chat history now, and the application procedures will be completed later.”
“Okay.” The colleagues from the technical investigation department immediately began operating.
The WeChat chat history of He Yingying was retrieved, but it was found that she had not chatted with Li He’an.
He Lewei’s brows were so furrowed they could kill flies. “How on earth did this bastard contact He Yingying? Not by phone or WeChat?”
Xiao Xu asked doubtfully, “Is it possible that the chat history has already been deleted?”
“No,” the colleague analyzed. “If he wanted to delete it, he would either delete the content from the past two days, or delete all records. But the content from the past half month is still there. It’s possible they used another software to communicate.”
“This bastard’s counter-reconnaissance methods are too strong,” He Lewei said helplessly.
Dusk deepened, and the black sedan passed through the toll station, speeding along the vast highway.
Li He’an sat in the back seat, tightly holding He Yingying’s hand.
He Yingying turned her head to look at him and asked in a low voice, “A Cheng, are we going to the high-speed rail station or the airport now?”
Li He’an’s face was hidden in the dim light, and he said expressionlessly, “Neither.”
“Ah?” He Yingying asked in surprise, “Then how will we get there?”
Li He’an: “We’ll drive.”
“Is your hometown very close to Yun Jing?” He Yingying asked with curiosity.
Li He’an said with a smile, “Not far. You might be able to get there after a nap.”
“That’s great,” He Yingying said with a relaxed expression. “I was worried that your hometown was too far from Yun Jing, and my parents wouldn’t agree to us being together.”
“Is that so?” Li He’an’s tone was emotionless.
He Yingying continued to ask, “By the way, A Cheng, how many people are in your family?”
Li He’an: “You’ll know when we get there.”
He Yingying was silent for a moment, then said in a low voice, “A Cheng, what happened? You seem to be in a bad mood.”
The usual Li He’an wouldn’t be so indifferent to her, nor would his tone be so stiff.
Li He’an: “I am a little in a bad mood.”
“What’s wrong?” He Yingying asked with concern. “Is it something about work?”
“Yes,” Li He’an nodded.
He Yingying’s price negotiation had failed.
“Is there anything I can help with?” He Yingying asked again.
Li He’an stared at her in the darkness, a cruel smile gradually forming on his lips, “No need. You just need to be obedient.”
“I’ll definitely be obedient,” He Yingying leaned into Li He’an’s embrace, reaching out to wrap her arms around his waist. “Don’t be in a bad mood.”
The burly man driving in the front row heard He Yingying’s words and immediately showed a mocking expression, inwardly laughing at her naivety.
She’s about to be sold and is still thinking about helping count the money?
Meng Xiaokai was unhurriedly following Li He’an’s car.
Chen Ziqi, sitting in the passenger seat, reported the license plate number and location to Si Heng.
Si Heng quickly set off with a team.
It would be easy to lose track of them if it was just Meng Xiaokai and Chen Ziqi.
He picked up Jiang Yuan when he set off.
Jiang Yuan, in turn, brought Little Mo Yan.
The car drove through the night. He Yingying slept and woke up, and it was already past eleven o’clock at night.
She turned her head to look at the man beside her, “A Cheng, are we almost there?”
“Almost,” Li He’an said perfunctorily, “You should sleep a bit more.”
“Okay,” He Yingying was indeed a little sleepy. “Then wake me up when we arrive.”
Li He’an: “I will.”
He Yingying slept for another while and woke up when the car had stopped.
She raised her hand and rubbed her eyes. “Are we there?”
Li He’an, who was resting with his eyes closed, said lightly, “Not yet. This is a service area.”
“Oh,” He Yingying nodded and picked up her phone to check. She found it was already three in the morning. “It’s so late, and we’re not there yet?”
Li He’an opened his eyes to look at her, “Soon.”
He Yingying said “Oh.”
After a while, she reached out to open the car door, only to find it locked.
“What’s wrong?” Li He’an asked with a frown.
He Yingying: “I need to go to the restroom.”
Li He’an had the burly man unlock the car door.
He Yingying got out of the car alone.
She walked a few steps and suddenly heard footsteps behind her.
She looked back uneasily and saw Li He’an. She instantly breathed a sigh of relief. “A Cheng.”
“It’s too dark here. I don’t feel at ease with you going to the toilet alone,” Li He’an explained.
He Yingying’s low mood during the journey instantly improved.
She held Li He’an’s hand, a smile appearing on her face. “You’re so kind.”
Jiang Yuan stood not far away and happened to overhear their conversation.
She stared at Li He’an’s back view, and a pair of bright dark eyes flashed with sarcasm and sharpness.
