Chapter 276: “yuan Yuan, Something Happened At Home.”
Meng Yunting pushed open the room door and entered. He saw Shen Airu leaning against the bedside, her face etched with an unshakeable sorrow.
“Mom,” he said, walking over. Meng Yunlan followed behind him.
“Yunting, did you need something?” Shen Airu asked softly.
Meng Yunting squatted by the bed, held his mother’s hand, and said gently, “Mom, Lanlan, I have some good news to tell you.”
“What good news?” Shen Airu asked, showing little interest.
Meng Yunlan stared at him with her exquisitely made-up eyes wide open.
Meng Yunting’s lips curved into a smile, “Mom, Jiang Yuan wasn’t in a car accident. She’s alive and well.”
“What?” Shen Airu became instantly nervous, her gaze eagerly fixed on him. “Yunting, are you serious?”
Meng Yunlan’s expression suddenly changed. Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and her eyes widened in shock. Her hands, hanging by her sides, clenched tightly into fists.
She didn’t die?
“It’s true,” Meng Yunting explained. “The person you and Dad met has a bad relationship with the Jiang family and deliberately lied.”
He only learned that it was a prank by a Jiang family neighbor when he was preparing to handle Jiang Yuan’s funeral arrangements.
“She’s gone too far!” Shen Airu’s haggard face showed a deep anger. “How could she do this? I truly…”
Meng Yunting was also helpless. He frowned and said, “I went to Fuze Garden once to ask about Jiang Yuan’s situation, and I also met her. She said many things that were unfavorable to Jiang Yuan at the time.”
Shen Airu frowned tightly. “Then what she said is not credible at all.”

“That’s right,” Shen Airu nodded, excitedly saying, “That’s wonderful. It’s truly wonderful that she’s alive.”
Meng Yunlan stood silently to the side, her lips pressed into a thin line, her face turning incredibly grim.
Shen Airu looked at her, her gaze slightly sharpening, and her heart sank.
“Then can I contact her now to meet?” Meng Yunting asked.
After experiencing this, Shen Airu understood how important Jiang Yuan was to her.
She said softly, “Yes, talk to her properly.”
Shen Airu looked at Meng Yunlan again.
Perhaps sensing her gaze, Meng Yunlan quickly forced a look of joy and smiled, “It’s great that Yuan Yuan is alive!”
“Yes,” Shen Airu said lightly.
Meng Yunlan continued, “No wonder Brother said it was good news. This is incredibly good news.”
Shen Airu pursed her lips and gave her a forced smile, “Indeed.”
“Then I’ll go contact Jiang Yuan,” Meng Yunting said, standing up.
“Go ahead,” Shen Airu’s face showed a hint of a relieved smile.
Meng Yunlan was furious inside. She could only try to take deep breaths to control her emotions.
But the more she thought about it, the more annoyed and unwilling she felt.
Damn it, why didn’t she die?
After Meng Yunting left, Meng Yunlan sat by the bed and said sweetly, “Mom, Yuan Yuan is fine now, so you can eat properly. That’s wonderful.”
“It’s okay,” Shen Airu sighed softly. “I don’t even know if she’s willing to come back.”
Meng Yunlan affectionately held her hand. “Our family is so well-off, Yuan Yuan will definitely be willing to come back.”
“I hope so,” Shen Airu said lightly. “I’m tired and want to rest a bit more.”
Meng Yunlan’s mood was also very bad now, and she didn’t want to comfort her anymore. She smiled and nodded, “Okay, then Mom, you rest well. I’ll go ask the kitchen to prepare what you like to eat.”

In the afternoon sunshine, Jiang Yuan drove to the police dog base after breakfast.

“Yes, of course,” Trainer Liu said quickly. “I’ll take you to see him.”
“Thank you,” Jiang Yuan thanked him and walked beside Trainer Liu.
Big Yellow was in training. Not knowing if it smelled Jiang Yuan’s scent, it turned its head, saw her, and immediately barked excitedly.
“Big Yellow,” Jiang Yuan waved at it.
“Yuan Yuan,” Big Yellow’s four paws moved in a blur as it quickly ran up to Jiang Yuan. “Did you come to see me?”
“Yes,” Jiang Yuan’s lips curved as she smiled. “Are you doing well here?”
“Very well!” Big Yellow said excitedly. “It’s so lively here, I really like it here!”
Jiang Yuan squatted in front of Big Yellow and raised her hand to stroke its head. “It’s good that you like it, then I’m relieved.”
“The friends here are all good, and the teachers are also good!” Big Yellow grinned. “Yuan Yuan, thank you for introducing me here.”
“You’re welcome,” Jiang Yuan smiled at it. “The most important thing is that you’re happy.”
“Very happy!” Big Yellow replied. “Seeing you makes me even happier. Thank you!”
“You don’t need to thank me,” Jiang Yuan let out a light laugh. “Seeing you doing well puts my mind at ease. I’ll come to see you again next time.”
As soon as she finished speaking, her phone rang.
Jiang Yuan took out her phone. The caller ID showed the name “Deng Rui.”
A hint of confusion flashed in her eyes as she pressed the answer button. “Mom, what’s wrong?”
Deng Rui’s anxious voice came from the earpiece. “Yuan Yuan, something has happened at home.”
“What happened?” Jiang Yuan asked.
Deng Rui’s tone was filled with worry. “Your sister went to buy something, she had already paid, but the merchant kept calling saying she hadn’t paid.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon,” Jiang Yuan hung up the phone and left after saying goodbye to Big Yellow and Trainer Liu.
Returning to East Bank Villa, Jiang Die, Deng Rui, and Jiang Dashan were sitting on the living room sofa.
“What happened?” Jiang Yuan asked with a frown.
Deng Rui took her hand and recounted the whole incident. “Your sister went to buy roast duck and had already scanned the payment, but when she got home, the merchant kept calling, saying she hadn’t paid and demanding she repay the money for the roast duck.”
“Is that so?” Jiang Yuan looked at Jiang Die, who nodded seriously.
“I understand,” she said, her brow furrowing slightly, her tone serious. “Sister, take me to that roast duck shop to see.”
“Okay,” Jiang Die agreed. “Should we go now?”
Jiang Yuan: “Now.”
Jiang Die asked hesitantly, “Aren’t we going to call and clarify?”
Jiang Yuan: “No need.”
The two sisters left East Bank Villa and headed to the agricultural wholesale market.
Finding the roast duck shop, Jiang Yuan scanned the merchant’s payment code and asked Jiang Die to open her payment records, saying softly, “Sister, let’s first verify the merchant’s information.”
