Chapter 206: In My Presence, You Are No Different From Mortal Spirits
He looked at Coeus once again and asked softly: “Respected Coeus, now, you can state your decision.”
Coeus let out a bitter laugh-sigh. He said bitterly: “Illustrious Zeus, thank you for your tolerance. I very much want to obey your will. However, which god could use their own origin as a bargaining chip in a transaction?”
His face suddenly became solemn. In a tone filled with supreme pride, he said earnestly: “I am Son of Uranus! My essential laws were jointly gestated by the Master of Spirituality, the supreme Father God of Heaven, and the greatest Mother Goddess of All Things—one of the most ancient and great origins of the universe!”
“Even if it means being completely destroyed; even if it means enduring the eternal torment of the endless void once more!”
“How could I possibly use this great and noble essence as a lowly bargaining chip for survival and trade it away?”
Zeus surveyed these four Primal Titans still immersed in their old glory, and these Primal Great Gods still harboring their own thoughts. He confirmed that their days in Tartarus were still too short.
His gaze became indifferent and distant. He shook his head gently and said slowly: “You are wrong, yet you refuse to admit it, still clinging to that expectation which is no longer realistic.”
“You are too stubborn and do not believe me. Regrettably, you failed to seize this opportunity.”
Cronus’s gaze suddenly sharpened. He did not understand what Zeus meant by these words.
Coeus and Phoebe were equally baffled as to why Zeus would suddenly say this.
At this moment, Zeus gently raised his right hand, with brilliant electric light swirling in his palm.
With a thunderbolt exploding, the minds of the four Great Gods all sank sharply.
They all thought Zeus was furious and wanted to vent his anger on them.
Cronus was not afraid but delighted. The bombardment and scorching of thunder were indeed infinitely painful, but what torment could compare to Tartarus?
He laughed maniacally and shouted: “Hahaha! Zeus, oh Zeus! You shameless little thief! Your act of generosity and magnanimity can no longer be performed, can it!”
“Your true face of shamelessness, ruthlessness, and narrow-mindedness is about to be completely exposed! Come on! Go ahead and act! I, Cronus, if I beg for mercy or yield to you even once, then I am no longer the former Ruler of the Universe! Hahaha—”
Zeus, however, turned a deaf ear to this, as if he had not heard his roar at all.
The thunder in his palm merely flickered gently, forcibly shattering the most foundational space of this netherworld, revealing that endless void existing beyond the world, filled with disorder and chaos!
This originally indestructible territory structure instantly gained a massive “vulnerability.”
And under the suppression of Zeus’s Thunder Divine Power, it could not repair itself at all!
Sensing the “feast” Tartarus immediately became extremely excited and was about to transform into an endless flood of void, rushing in eagerly to devour everything here!
Then
Then there was no more.
Zeus directly reached out, and amid the bursting electric light, forcibly “grabbed” a formless, intangible “clump” of void essence from Tartarus!
With a world-shaking thunderbolt explosion, Zeus forcibly tore this “clump” of void from Tartarus’s body!
Then, with a backhand slap, he mercilessly sent Tartarus flying back out of the netherworld.
He waved his hand gently, withdrawing the Power of Thunder that suppressed the “vulnerability.” This torn territory repaired itself once again.
Zeus’s casual action, as easy as taking something from a bag, left the four Primal Great Gods dumbfounded and utterly shocked.
Even the former master Cronus felt a chill in his heart at this moment.
This rebellious son’s power had far, far exceeded his imagination!
Tartarus, which was absolutely terrifying to all living beings and even all gods, was in his hand like a mortal world’s clay sculpture, which he could knead and shape as he pleased!
It could be said he could do as he pleased!
This was something even Cronus at his peak could never achieve.
At that time, he could brutally beat Tartarus, but to handle it as effortlessly and do as one pleases like Zeus—that he could not do.
However, this miracle sufficient to overturn the old gods’ cognition was far from over.
This “clump” of void in Zeus’s palm actually began an inconceivable transformation, dramatically shifting toward the form of “true existence.”
Soon, the chaotic void condensed and took shape, transforming into the form of a supremely divine eagle. This was the first eagle to appear since the birth of the universe.
However, this life directly created from “void” was still essentially merely a pure material dead object, containing no spark of spirituality within.
Cronus and the other three Great Gods merely watched Zeus’s actions quietly, yet an inexplicable, immense, and utterly terrifying fear had already silently enveloped their entire divinity like an invisible cold tide.
An extremely ominous premonition was growing denser and clearer deep within their divinity.
Finally
After this eagle’s body was completely shaped, a trace of vibrant feeling suddenly emerged within its originally absolutely lifeless body.
Its sharp eyes suddenly turned.
Then, with a long, piercing cry resounding in all directions, this eagle abruptly spread its wings and soared high, gliding through this vast and deathly silent netherworld realm.
At this moment, aside from the sound of flight and cry, the entire space was utterly silent.
It was as if the spirituality and life of these four great Titan Great Gods had been completely drained and transferred to this eagle.
Even the former God King, who had remained violent, arrogant, and fearless even after so long in Tartarus, now had a face darker than seaside reefs battered by billions of years of wind and rain.
His face was ashen white, without any color.
Fear had overflowed onto the surface.
After a long time, he tremulously raised his arm—that arm which had once ruled the entire universe—pointing at the indifferent Zeus opposite, his expression filled with endless, infinite fear that threatened to devour him entirely.
He stammered: “You… you… this… how… how is this possible?! How is this possible?! How is this possible?!!!”
Zeus said flatly: “Facts are as such.”
“I gave you an opportunity, but you did not cherish it.”
“If I truly wished to use force, then all your attitudes would be meaningless before me.”
A fear named “complete annihilation”—the most ultimate fear—truly descended for the first time into the divinity of these four Primal Titans at this moment.
Their spirituality, before this Master of Spirituality, could not even generate the slightest will to resist.
As Sons of Uranus, they understood better than any god how great, powerful, invincible, and… terrifying the authority of “spirituality” was!
It was a supreme absolute authority that could completely end everything before it with a single thought!
Before the Master of Spirituality, no matter who, no matter how powerful, no matter how great their authority, no matter how ancient, no matter how important or indispensable a foundation of the universe they were—
None of this held any meaning.
Because the Master of Spirituality could effortlessly erase their spirituality, erase all their consciousness and self.
And at the same time, bestow it all anew as he wished.
The existence of matter determines whether one can have consciousness; free consciousness determines whether one can have self.
But the Master of Spirituality is the true supreme existence that grants all of this!
If an existence lacks spirituality of self, that is the most complete and true death and end!
Yet now, this supreme absolute authority had come into Zeus’s hands!
This meant he had become the true supreme, most exalted, absolute master who could control everything!
Moreover, he did not merely possess the authority of “spirituality” alone!
No one would forget the God King’s invincible Great Thunder!
Even the former God King, who remained unyielding even when imprisoned in Tartarus, now finally felt the most genuine despair and fear.
His resolute and majestic eyes were uncontrollably trembling slightly at this moment. Those fear-filled, trembling words shook from his mouth: “You… you… could it be, could it be you want to annihilate our spirituality?!”
At these words from the former God King, Coeus and Phoebe’s already colorless faces grew even darker, nearly unable to stand steady.
Even Iapetus, with the most tenacious personality, now had a drastic change in expression, unspeakably grim, with despair and dejection enveloping his entire body.
Facing Cronus’s fear, Zeus merely shook his head gently and said flatly: “Not so.”
Cronus immediately shouted sharply: “Then what is the purpose of all this?!”
Even this extremely violent and arrogant former God King could now only adopt this tough posture to mask the endless fear in his heart.
Zeus could clearly see the fear and vulnerability in his heart. He still said flatly: “I merely wanted to tell you that if I wished you harm, then in my hands, you would be no different from any mortal spirit.”
