“Those Navy might not leave obediently. Their mast is broken; without power, they can only land here first.”
“What do we do?
Lord La, with our few people, we can’t possibly be a match for the Navy!”
The pirate who came to report the news also panicked.
“Don’t worry, have all our people change out of the pirate crew clothes and disguise as ordinary townsfolk.
I’ll go talk to the Town Chief to give us some cover.”
La wasn’t panicked at all and methodically made arrangements.
“Will that work? Why not disguise as fishermen and hide out at sea…”
“There are no big ships left on the island, and it’s not fishing season right now. Going out to sea rashly would only raise suspicion.
The rest of us are all fairly old; have them find a remote spot to pretend to be ordinary townsfolk continuing to play chess.
