Chapter 17: Exquisite Performance
In the middle of the night, thunder roared. Han Wuyu, with his excellent hearing, could faintly hear the sound of sobbing. Yin Lingyan was covered in sweat, appearing to be in shock and in a state of fear.
Carelessly, she even touched the mobile phone’s recording function.
Worried, Han Wuyu walked out and opened her room door, only to see Yin Lingyan sitting on the bed, hugging her knees, her head buried in her lap, crying softly.
Han Wuyu’s voice was very soft, so soft that Yin Lingyan, whose room he had already entered, didn’t know he was there. Her eyes, red from crying, felt a strange chill. The sleepy Yin Lingyan vaguely felt as if she had entered a warm embrace.
Han Wuyu looked at the person sleeping in his arms. Sweat and traces of tears could still be seen on her face. He gently placed her head on a cushion, covered her with the quilt, and prepared to leave. Unexpectedly, Yin Lingyan grabbed his hand.
“Don’t go!” Han Wuyu was startled. He looked at her furrowed brow and the uneasy expression on her face.
“Mother, don’t leave me.”
“Father, don’t go!”
Han Wuyu patted her back. “Don’t cry, sleep.”
Yin Lingyan babbled incoherently, but the clearest words were these two sentences. Hearing them, she surprisingly fell asleep with peace of mind. Han Wuyu glanced at the hand she was tightly holding, then directly got into bed and held her in his arms. Yin Lingyan seemed to have found a reliance and snuggled into his embrace.

In the early morning, a beautiful man and woman were both sleeping soundly in a bed, but their positions… were truly a sight for sore eyes.
Yin Lingyan’s entire body was almost draped over Han Wuyu. Han Wuyu found the sunlight a bit glaring. The sunlight after the rain was always so beautiful. When he woke up, he felt a heavy weight on him. Seeing Yin Lingyan sleeping peacefully and beautifully beside him, his expression was unreadable.
“Forgive me for attending dressed up with a bouquet, only to miss you…” At this moment, Yin Lingyan’s phone rang. Yin Lingyan habitually reached out and grabbed her mobile phone.
“Hello.” Yin Lingyan answered the phone with a slightly hoarse voice. A gentle female voice came from the other end, “Lingyan, are you up?”
Yin Lingyan glanced at the screen. She was no longer sleepy. “Mm, I will be soon. I’ll hang up now.”
She casually threw the mobile phone onto the bed, eliciting a muffled groan. Yin Lingyan hadn’t noticed Han Wuyu’s presence at all, so when she turned over to get up, she draped the entire quilt over him and threw the mobile phone onto him as well.
The faint muffled groan did not affect Yin Lingyan. Han Wuyu, with a dark expression, threw off the quilt and roared, “Yin Lingyan.”
However, the scene before him stunned Han Wuyu. Yin Lingyan was startled by his voice. Although she was surprised why he was there, the most important thing now was… Damn it, she had just taken off her pajamas, and she wasn’t wearing a bra! Ahhh!
“Ah…” Yin Lingyan screamed reflexively, fumbling to put on her clothes, then glared at Han Wuyu, “How are you here?”
Han Wuyu hadn’t recovered from the beautiful scenery he had just witnessed. Hearing her words, he was stunned. Recalling the scene from last night, he remained silent.
“Hey, say something…” Yin Lingyan glared at him relentlessly. Han Wuyu remained silent and got up to wash up.
After saying Yin Lingyan’s name, he didn’t say another word from beginning to end. Yin Lingyan felt a sense of dejection in her heart. Remembering that she had important matters to attend to, she temporarily put this annoying matter aside.
Han Wuyu’s movements were swift. He finished getting ready in almost five minutes and then left as if escaping.
