“There are no more seats, I can only sit here. You can’t be so selfish…” Yin Lingyan turned to reason with him, but…
Before Yin Lingyan could finish, she saw the amused smile on Han Wuyu’s face.
“Did I say you couldn’t sit?”
Yin Lingyan was stunned. He only said one word, “you,” and she reacted so strongly. Oh heavens! She was utterly embarrassed.
Yin Lingyan wisely maintained her silence, no longer looking at this ‘shameless’ man. Han Wuyu pleaded innocence.
Ye Qianyu and Yin Chubei let out unamused snorts. They glanced at Han Wuyu, who had slumped down to sleep, and Yin Lingyan, who was diligently attending class. They felt the two were incredibly well-matched.
However, after a while, Yin Lingyan found the lecture increasingly boring, her eyelids drooping. Eventually, she rested her head on the desk and fell into a light sleep.
Teacher Zhang Xingqing’s eyes immediately fell on her. A vicious smile curved her lips. “Yin Lingyan.”
Her tone was a bit high, jolting Yin Lingyan awake from her sleep. It also startled Han Wuyu, but he didn’t get up.
Teacher Zhang Xingqing glanced at Han Wuyu, who was still slumped over, then threw a piece of chalk at Yin Lingyan’s head.
“This is a classroom. If you want to sleep, go home and sleep. Go stand by the classroom door and listen to the lesson, right now, immediately.”
Yin Lingyan rubbed her head where the chalk had hit and glared fiercely at Han Wuyu, who remained ‘unscathed.’ She couldn’t help but inwardly complain about the vast difference in treatment.
Yin Lingyan had no grounds to refute her deliberate provocation. From the first glance that day, she had sensed Teacher Zhang Xingqing’s displeasure towards her, the reason for which was… unknown.
As Yin Lingyan stood up, Yin Lingchen and Han Wuyu both made a move simultaneously. Yin Lingchen stood up, and Han Wuyu, while holding her hand, also stood up.
Yin Lingyan gestured for Yin Lingchen to sit down. Yin Lingchen reluctantly sat down. It wasn’t that he dared not argue with the teacher, but he didn’t want to make things difficult for her.
Han Wuyu glanced at a somewhat surprised Zhang Xingqing, his fingers intertwined with Yin Lingyan’s resting on the desk. Teacher Zhang Xingqing froze, her expression one of utter disbelief.
“I’m sleeping too,” he said, then pulled Yin Lingyan’s hand and walked out of the classroom, though not to stand by the door.
Teacher Zhang Xingqing’s eyes immediately turned sharp. When she looked at Yin Lingchen and Mu Qingran again, her expression was hostile.
Yin Lingyan’s expression was a bit strange as Han Wuyu dragged her along. Why was he looking so angry?
“Hey, this is skipping class.” Yin Lingyan was a good student and had never skipped class before. She didn’t want any blemishes on her graduation certificate.
“Name.” Han Wuyu didn’t say anything else, just uttered two words plainly.
Yin Lingyan was taken aback, then realized he meant she shouldn’t call him “hey” but his name.
“Han Wuyu, this is skipping class.” She wisely corrected herself, glaring at his retreating back with dissatisfaction.
Han Wuyu’s steps suddenly stopped. Because they were walking quickly, Yin Lingyan’s head bumped directly into his back.
“Ah… why did you stop?” Yin Lingyan rubbed her head and grumbled in dissatisfaction.
Han Wuyu raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t you say you couldn’t skip class?”
Yin Lingyan was stunned. So, he meant they were going back to class?
Seeing her not answer, Han Wuyu softly said, “Idiot.” Is it still too late to go back now?
After speaking, he let go of her hand and walked straight ahead. Yin Lingyan looked left and right, unsure what to do for a moment. Seeing his back, she hurried after him.
“You can’t abandon me. If we go back now, I’ll definitely get scolded.” Yin Lingyan tightly held his hand. Han Wuyu looked at her, and Yin Lingyan realized how intimate her action was, quickly letting go of his hand.
