Chapter 33: Amusement Park Thrills
Yin Lingyan walked straight ahead, not hearing his footsteps. She turned her head and saw him standing there blankly, lost in thought.
Han Wuyu felt her questioning gaze, collected his thoughts, and strode towards her. They stood facing each other. Yin Lingyan looked at the person who was a head taller than her, still unable to believe… she was engaged to him… Although it was fake, the ceremony had been performed.
“What are you thinking about?” Han Wuyu looked at her actions curiously, as Yin Lingyan’s expression was quite strange.
Yin Lingyan shook her head, cleared her thoughts, and looked at him, “Where are we going?”
Han Wuyu’s expression became even stranger, “Are you following me?”
The way he said it was a bit ambiguous, and Yin Lingyan’s face flushed. She realized they had skipped class… and he hadn’t said where he was taking her to play. Her face burned all the way to her ears, and she glanced at him awkwardly.
Han Wuyu saw the change in her expression and couldn’t help but smile. He lightly tapped her forehead with his index finger, “I was just teasing you. Where are we going? I’ll treat you, as a way of repaying you.”
“What? Han Wuyu, go to hell!!!” After hearing Han Wuyu’s words, Yin Lingyan was completely beside herself, like a little lion whose fur had been ruffled.
Han Wuyu burst into laughter. Helplessly, Yin Lingyan could only follow him. But what was she plotting in her heart?
“This guy has a lot of money. I’ve sacrificed so much, I have to scam him a bit.” Yin Lingyan’s calculations were whirring in her mind.
Han Wuyu found her muttering softly amusing. Yin Lingyan thought for a moment, then grabbed his clothes, immediately putting on a pitiful expression.
“Let’s go to the amusement park.”
Her biggest wish since childhood was to go to an amusement park. But back then, her father and mother were always busy with their own businesses and often neglected her existence. They only divorced later after they couldn’t get along. She had never been to an amusement park until now.
Han Wuyu heard this and three black lines slid down his forehead. But after thinking about it, he coolly turned the car around.
“Yay!” Seeing that he had agreed, Yin Lingyan immediately jumped up with joy, almost wanting to hug him and kiss him fiercely.
Han Wuyu watched her lively and cute movements, the smile on his lips slowly widening. Then, the two got into the sports car and sped towards the amusement park.
“Have you been to an amusement park before?” Yin Lingyan asked, looking at his familiar demeanor, she guessed in her heart.
“I came once with my brother,” Han Wuyu said indifferently. He seemed to think something was wrong, so he added, “It wasn’t for fun, I had something to do.”
Yin Lingyan let out a long “Oh.” She knew he was telling the truth, but seeing him dig himself deeper, she couldn’t help but want to tease him a bit.
Han Wuyu’s face turned cold. He looked at the various children’s rides in the amusement park, and then at the high-altitude thrill rides. He suddenly regretted it.
As expected…
Yin Lingyan saw the pirate ship ahead and pulled Han Wuyu towards it. But Han Wuyu’s face turned deathly pale at the sight of it.
Han Wuyu shook off Yin Lingyan’s hand, unable to resist the urge to leave. He couldn’t stand the visual stimulation and screams, let alone experience it.
Yin Lingyan glanced at his pale face and felt something was wrong. She concernedly supported him, “What’s wrong?”
Han Wuyu shook his head. It was just that the moving speed of these things was too fast. He looked… and always felt that experiencing it personally was unbearable.
Yin Lingyan looked longingly at the pirate ship, but seeing Han Wuyu’s frightened expression… she gave up.
Han Wuyu took in all the longing and disappointment in her eyes. Forcing down the urge to vomit, he was about to endure it and go up with her.
