Chapter 6: Intersection
“Alright,” Yin Lingyan looked at her ‘work’ and nodded with satisfaction.
“I’m saying, you could be a professional makeup artist,” Mu Qingran playfully punched her shoulder and said with a smile.
“You know my dream is to be a designer.” Yes, her dream was to become a famous fashion designer. She wanted her friends and lover to wear clothes she designed herself; that would make her feel very accomplished.
“Don’t worry, it will definitely come true.” Mu Qingran had great faith in her best friend. She had a very rich imagination; she didn’t know how she came up with such concepts. She felt very lucky to have seen her designs, which were graceful yet noble.
Yin Lingyan smiled without speaking, rubbing her beautiful chin. Her beautiful eyes stared at the white clouds in the sky, lost in thought. Suddenly, the shadow of a man flashed in her eyes. Recalling what happened yesterday, her face couldn’t help but flush.
Mu Qingran saw this scene and exclaimed as if she had discovered a new continent, “Lingyan, your face is red! Tell me, is it…”
Mu Qingran left a bit of suspense in her words. Yin Lingyan was pulled back to her thoughts by her words and glared at her, “Don’t overthink it.”
Just then, a familiar figure walked past behind the trees. She recognized the shadow and was startled. Why was he here? A date? She quickly hid behind Mu Qingran.
“What’s wrong with you?”
Yin Lingyan glanced at the handsome guy’s retreating figure and breathed a sigh of relief. However, hearing her best friend’s words, the corner of her mouth twitched.
Mu Qingran naturally knew her best friend was avoiding someone. She looked at the back of the person and felt it was very familiar, but she couldn’t recall who it was for a moment, nor did she know what connection he had with Lingyan.
However, she pretended not to see it because she understood her best friend’s personality. When something happened, she wouldn’t hide anything from her.
“Let’s go, it’s time for class,” Yin Lingyan seized the opportunity to change the subject, which was the only way to make her best friend shut up.
It was time for the old teacher to sing his lullaby again. Although Yin Lingyan was a good student, she found the old teacher’s class… sigh, extremely boring. But it seemed that only when facing some kind of separation did one realize their reluctance to part.
The old teacher was very silent today. He hadn’t said a word since walking in. Every student widened their eyes, waiting for him to speak. Finally, the old teacher broke the unusually heavy atmosphere. “Classmates, the school just announced that our Class A will be merged with Class B.”
After he finished speaking, there was a moment of silence, and it seemed like even the sound of breathing could be faintly heard. Yin Lingyan felt this news was like a bolt from the blue. Merging classes meant the competition for rankings would become even more intense. But at this moment, she didn’t know another bolt from the blue was waiting for her.
After a period of silence, the students suddenly cheered. Why? Because the school hunk was in Class B, and their class had quite a few fangirls. Usually, everyone would meticulously dress up just to catch a glimpse of him, peeking at his classroom door. Now, they could sit in the same room as him. What incredible luck this was.
Yin Lingyan shook her head. She had heard of this school hunk since she entered the school but had never seen his true face. She only heard he was very handsome. Although she liked handsome guys, she wasn’t to the point of being obsessed.
“However…” the old teacher’s voice rang out again. The students quieted down, waiting for what he would say next, hoping to hear more good news. But what he said next was not good news.
