The second is bipolar disorder, prone to mania, elevated mood, increased talkativeness, and impulsivity. During depressive episodes, there is low mood, loss of interest, fatigue, and lack of energy. Appetite and sleep can change, often accompanied by hallucinations and delusions.
The third is depression, which involves persistent low mood, fatigue, loss of interest, sleep disturbances, and in severe cases, suicidal thoughts.
The fourth is anxiety, characterized by excessive fear, excitability, irritability, difficulty concentrating, insomnia, and occasional palpitations, sweating, tremors, and muscle tension.
The fifth is autism, characterized by unwillingness to socialize, communication difficulties, repetitive and stereotyped behaviors, and interest in only a single thing.
The sixth is obsessive-compulsive disorder, characterized by recurring intrusive thoughts and obsessions that cause distress, often accompanied by psychological activities such as anxiety.
If you have any of these six, they will be a trial for you. The commonality of these six is that you cannot control your own thoughts. Use the method Eldest Brother taught you to raise your spirit and break through them, and then you will be qualified.
Because in our Zen Cultivation, each of us is our own strongest psychologist. Don’t feel any pressure; everyone is actually experiencing these things. Eldest Brother experienced them all before achieving enlightenment, but at that time, I didn’t understand much and just moved past them without dwelling on them.
Also, you must remember my words, Eldest Brother: the more you feel at a loss, the better the time to cultivate yourself and build a strong inner heart, and the best time for cultivation.
Without a whetstone, how can our sword become exceptionally sharp? Without the opportunity to break free from shackles, how can we achieve freedom of the soul?
You must believe me, Eldest Brother. All psychological problems, for us, are fertilizer that nourishes our upward progress.
Relax your soul and body. Whatever comes, don’t dwell on it; just resolve the problem. Once the problem is solved, then that matter has passed.
Yesterday is already yesterday, it has passed, and no matter how much you dwell on it, it’s still gone. Today is just today, we are in the present, and we should be happy in the present. Tomorrow’s matters will be dealt with tomorrow. Tomorrow is not here yet, and we don’t know what will happen, so there’s no need to worry.
Life, you know, is only about thirty thousand-odd days. No matter how powerful one is, it’s only a little over a hundred years. Time flies by in the blink of an eye. Since we’re here, our happiness must be greater than our troubles to not have lived in vain. Therefore, everyone who joins the Wuji Sword Sect is here to experience life. Since it’s an experience, why be troubled?
Besides, someone as awesome as me, Eldest Brother, when I eventually leave, I will continue to establish the Wuji Sword Sect in another world. Our Wuji Sword Sect has no cowards. In life, we may not quarrel or argue with others, but when facing our own hearts, we are kings. This king is not referring to myself, Eldest Brother, but to each of us being kings. Wuji Sword Sect has no weaklings, and that’s not just a saying.”
“I understand, Eldest Brother. If I defeat depression at that moment, then I will be considered a member of the Wuji Sword Sect.”
